Great video! There are even more savings than what you show... At 12,000 miles, you are probably going to have 1 or 2 oil changes in there. If it's a Mercedes, Audi or BMW, probably just one oil change, but the cost would will be $120 or even more, and you would also be buying 91oct premium gasoline to boot. If it was a non-luxury brand, like Nissan, Cadillac, or other, probably 2 oil changes at maybe $60 each. An EV seldom needs new brake pads or rotors, due to the regenerative braking, so there is even more savings there. I love my i3, and also have a Kia Niro PHEV, and a Prius. I seldom drive my Audi Q7 or Mercedes E350, because the i3 is just do much fun. But I still need the gas hogs for long distance, moving or towing.
This comparison is strictly on the cost of fuel, not total ownership cost. But I also have a 15 yr old Toyota truck and it costs me way more per mile than my EV, about $0.20/mile. And as a side note, my last electric car cost $19k which was a used BMW. Thanks for the feedback though.
What about the cost of the batteries because without them the car doesn’t run so that needs to be factored in as an operating cost then if the car becomes old enough cost of new batteries out weight the replacement so it now becomes a throw away car

Wow you pay $0 .13 cents a kwh!
I'm paying &0.06 cents a kwh here where I live.
We absolutely love our EV's.
Whoa, $0.06 is dirt cheap. That really makes the economics of driving EV’s much more beneficial. Thanks for sharing.
you forgot to mention that good electric cars cost over $50k my car is a 20 year old gas toyota truck that is maybe $1k max i still save way more
