I bought tickets for a show by Brighton Rock in 1991. Drove from NY to Canada to see them expecting the show to be in an arena. I couldn’t believe they were playing a tiny bar. Totally shocked that they weren’t huge in Canada. Met the whole band. All great guys. And they played an incredible set.
Freakin' awesome band back-in-the-day. Lofty vocals and a harmonic guitar sound which should have taken these righteous Canadians into the stratosphere.
They're awesome, been my favorite band since highschool which was a few years ago now. The band mates themselves are great people and fun to chat with! R.I.P Gerry
Oh my goodness you guys are so supremely underrated and take a deep breath is an 80s masterpiece that deserves an reissue with songs like this you had it all you have my fan ship and support come back and rock us soon
Oh man, just recently found out of Gerry's passing. RIP my friend. I have great memories of the show at ENTEX Entertainment in Mississauga ON in the late 80's. Your music lives on!
This reminds of 1990 and 1991, when having long hair made you feel like a rock star. I would walk the streets, tight jeans, teased hair, knowing I'd get second glances and cat-calls by hot chicks. I'd do anything to recapture that reaction again. Being middle-aged fucking sucks
Saw them on the nightclub circuit in the early nineties and they were awesom but a knew Gerry:s vocals would be shot in 15 years the way he sings unfortunately i was right
@@Sapphiresoul2 I really only know about Lado because the guys in Iron Maiden used them for one tour, though now that I think they had a few ads in some of the music magazines, but not many.
@@Kohntarkosz My dream guitar is a Lado Earth or Lado Lazer, I talked to Joe Lado on the phone and he was gonna cut me a deal but I couldn't come up with $4,000 CAD in 2 months ;(

Never NOT a total BR fanboy. The times I attended the band’s gigs are amongst my fondest memories. Its three albums are treasured in my expansive collection.
RIP Gerry. One of Canada’s great rock vocalist’s.

Heard Young Wild And Free on WRIF in Detroit when it first came out. Saw the band play later that nite. Been a fan every since.
Didn't like them too much during the 90's but sure as hell appreciate their songs now .... especially the song "one more try" ...

Yeah if u done that now you'd be called a tramp, weirdo, poor and countless other insults.
RIP Gerry, still listening 2021
Very underrated band
This song reminds me of a girl I thought I was going to marry, but she moved overseas. Life's not fair sometimes
Scary..same for me...I had even given her the ring. She moved to the US. Im in Canada. I was 30 at that time and this CD was always playing.
There's no such thing as fair
Greatest. Song. And. Performance. You're. The. Bomb. Gerry
Oh, the memories of the Pepsi Power Hour with Erica Ehm...
