Nokie's still listed as a current member, but Don, (who precedes Nokie in the band anyway), is the last original member still touring. Don's the senior member of the Ventures: b2/10/33. I don't know when the interview was held, but The Ventures' released the Beatles CD in '10, so Don's at least 77 here, probably 78. He's touring in '14, & has plans for '15, when he'll be 82, & The Ventures will be 57. Here here!
The original TV theme for Hawaii 5-0 was studio musicians including Mel Taylor. Mel must of told the rest of the Ventures about it and they recorded it for their last, big hit.
The copyright holder not the performer makes the lion's share of the money, Walk Don't Run was composed by jazz guitarist Johnny Smith, Hawaii Five-0 theme by Morton Stevens.
The sample of The Ventures playing Hawaii Five-O (12 minutes 23 seconds) is so much more exciting than the extremely sterile computerized version used for the new TV show at 10 minutes 40 seconds.

Lived in mountains of Kalifornia in 1950s/1960s listened to XTRA, pirate radio..was blown aware by Ventures.. still enjoy yo this day..😄👌🇺🇸
