- HELLO AGAIN! I return to RUclips with a new video to celebrate BIGSNAX, which I had SO much fun with!!! Young Horses knocked it out of the park with this one, and I've been redoing this animatic for the past couple months to release today. Can you believe it's been a year since the last? I feel like I've improved so much, partly because I learned Storyboard Pro this year but also because my love for Bugsnax has inspired so much creativity in me. Here's to creating more of what I love! Thank you, YH, for the food ;o]

I cant really explain it but this is one of those super rare videos that makes me feel an indescribable emotion. When I watch it, I'm happy, sad, inspired, and all these other complex feelings.
This is an amazing video and it honestly makes me want to improve myself. I've dabbled in music editing but for some reason, this video gave me the drive to actually study and learn how to use a professional DAW (digital audio workspace).
I watch it every time I see it in my recommended which is practically every time I open RUclips. I loved Bugsnax but it didn't really have a huge impact on me but this video has permanently changed how I see the game and characters for the better.
10/10 video. thank you for making it.

YEAH NO HONESTLY,,, it was really hard to fit in filbo too for that reason lmao. but it felt right for chandlo, triffany, eggabell, wiggle and gramble not to have panels like that!

I imagine them like cat tails, sometimes (warrior Cats fan, if you couldn’t guess) e used for signaling, and anger and distaste I also imagine their fur puffing up when they’re mad
The DLC has singlehandedly revived my Bugsnax hyperfixation, and your art style really does the game justice!
I really liked the way you drew Snorpy and Wiggle in particular.
Next a sequel seems likely seeing as a bugsnak made it with everyone else back to urban civilization
@@colbeyhaney3913 I rly hope there is a sequel. I found this game like a week and a half ago and now I’m about to fully complete everything. I don’t want it to be over. Really liked this game.
this whole video was amazing but i havent seen anyone point out how cool it is that each grumpus stays in place between the speech bubble shots and the frame after
YES YES im so glad someone caught that!!! That continuity was super important to me even though it's just a tiny detail lol.

About the 5th time in a row through this, at the part with the house being revealed;
THE JOURNALISTS'S TAIL IS WAGGING OHMYGODSOADORABLE
Most times when you see stuff like this its based on crazy theories or cute head-cannon, but this is 100% accurate to what happens in Bugsnax.
I love how the speech bubbles for the different characters are differently designed! especially Snorpy's with the censor bars lol
I am gushing over how you draw grumpuses! The tails, the fluff, and oh my those paws! It looks so good! And Snorpy is actually really cute in the way you drew him! The grumpuses don’t even have tails but you made them fit their personality’s perfectly! It just looks so good! And the text boxes showing how they actually talk! Befficas being large Wasbuses being smaller and Snorpys being redacted! It’s all so well put together!
I recently got into the fandom, but I’ve watched this so many times in the mere weeks I’ve had this game. It’s so well put together, from your unique style of drawing the grumps to the timing of the visuals and the music. It fits together perfectly.
And then the way you portray their emotions? You can see clearly how each character is feeling in each situation. Between their expressions or their body language- it’s so alive. And then the journalist is on a whole other level- that mixture of determination and reservation. Their goals and regrets. I could go on for hours about the little things.
This animatic is what drew me deeper into the fandom, so I hope you know how special it is. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I really do ship Filbo and the Journalist and the moments with the two here bring me such joy. Ik its weird to ship a character with the player character but idk i like their dynamic

I also ship Filbo and the Journalist honestly. I feel like the Journalist would be closest to Filbo in the first place, and I like to see that tacked on here

If I had a nickel for every time a fandom animatic set to a song by AJR wracked me with whole-body sobs in the wee hours of the morning, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
(aka this is beautifully made and i love this game and these characters and this song and all the work you put in!!!!)

Okay, so... This was my introduction to this game. I initially thought 'oh, these characters r cute'. I looked it more up and i was intrigued, and horrified. So, yeah, this animatic was gewd.
the problem with seeing such an inspiring character design is you want to draw them in your own style but you dont want to copy a character
gotta love how the lyrics match up with the grumpus speaking ('they call you vague', Wambus is on screen, or 'work friends', C.C.C. is on screen)
_this coulda been worded way better but oh well_
When I tell you I rewatched your old one over and over, I truly and dearly mean it. It has brought me so much joy and to see you've remade it for the new update brings me so much joy like I can't express it enough. Just love the art style. The little claws and the tails threw me off at first, but once I got used to it I really like it! Great choice of song too.
the way u draw them is so fucking cute. They're so fluffy. Sometimes their in-game designs spook me so i draw them more anthro-esque but this style is rlly making me wanna draw them more true to canon

When I first saw this animatic I genuinely cried over some of this. The house reveal and that final hug. The Reporter’s general just, *sadness* disappearing over it all I just love this so much

Oh god, I'm bawling my eyes out. Like, I love drawing, but I'll never be as good as this. I love the Grumps looking more animalistic and I think the addition of tails really helps. This is probably the best thing I've ever seen in the Bugsnax community. There's so much attention to detail: The NO MORE BUGSNAX sign behind Beffica and Cromdo, Broken Tooth in the back of the last shot, MY GOD! Anyway, I'm gonna go cry in a corner now. I mean, I do that everyday, but this time it's because of Bugsnax.
I know none of that really means a lot from some random dumb kid, but whatever. Thank you, good sir. I tip my metaphorical hat. Now back to crying in a corner...

I played Bugsnax for the first time a few days ago, and I straight up can't stop watching this animatic, it is SO GOOD!!! The part with the snaxsquatch is one of my favorite bits, its just so cool and well timed to the music and the vibes of it!
This is incredible. This deserves SO much more attention.

I like how the little chat boxes are meant to represent their personality. Like Wambus,He has small text boxes because he doesnt talk much. Floofty,Has big chatboxes because shes known to talk alot about science.(And science is one thing she talks about daily). And Befficas chat boxes look big and small in sizes,meaning she is the most talkative and gossiping grumpus in the group.
2nd favorite animatic of 2021-2022. That's saying a lot. Also wow the song fits this game so well.

This song gives off such fun vibes. I can imagine someone deciding to go on an adventure to get away from the stress back home and it hits just right. Wonder if someone's animated Stardew Valley to this? It'd fit pretty well I think. If someone else hasn't done it, I just might attempt it.
