british schools and american schools are so different omg ahem.. in my school we have to be in at 8am and it ends at 3pm. We have 5 periods. The ugliest uniform ever (we look like we’re going to a funeral). No phones (if you’re caught with your phone out you get 45 min detention 😭). We get tested in every subject in every half term. No makeup. Your hair has to be tied up if it’s longer than your shoulders. Socks can’t be longer than your ankles. No talking in lessons. We bring all our books home and if you forget them you get detention. No food or drinks (apart from water) in class. And no jewellery ✨
I live in South Africa but I follow the Cambridge system (which is British btw) and same we have school from 8 to 3, no makeup, no jewellery, annoying uniforms, no phone else u will get it confiscated for 6 months, no going to the bathroom in lessons, no talking, no food or drinks (except water), u get a debit if u don’t do homework, and we get tested 3 times for each subject every term
