@@StefanThiesen In S1 she was written as a complete psychopath (arguably in S2 she was more like a sociopath - though still on the ASPD spectrum) and then in S3 and the unmentionable S4 they completely change her character (for better or for worse). Also, empathy is emotional whilst sympathy is cognitive; majority of people with ASPD can sympathize with others, they just cannot empathise.

Insomniawaken Nah, she's a hobby bi at best; "raving" is a real stretch. While she may screw around w/ a male occasionally out of boredom or for work, it's pretty clear that she prefers women, & to the extent that she can feel something for another person, that person will be a female. It appears that she finds men contemptible generally. Since their sexual arrogance makes them very easy to whack, it seems that Villanelle likes to get creative to entertain herself, & kill them in such a way as to take the wind out of their sails in the process. Few things are probably more amusing to someone like her (& many female viewers) than the look on a guy's face when he is confronted w/ his poor judgement in women just prior to meeting his maker, lol. When she kills women, it's w/ relatively little fanfare. She would never dress like a pig, hang her female target upside down, & gut her from stem to stern slaughterhouse-style. Too much respect to do a woman like that. Her tendency to torture her male hits indicates "raving" misandry, which is why so many gay women identify w/ her. She said that her father taught her how to fight. As in an effort to fight his hairy ass off of her? He was probably sexually abusing her, & her mother probably got jealous; instead of protecting her, her mother probably did all kinds of horrible things around the house in order to frame Villanelle, get her sent away, & save her marriage, which is why Villanelle despised her mother enough to kill her. But she still has this need for a woman to love her. She couldn't care less about having a man in her life other than Konstantin.
@@elizabethmorgan293 While I angry with a lot of this, the problem with making her a victim of sexual abuse by her father creates the dilemma of her attraction to women being in part, the result of assault by a male, which is a terrible stereotype many queer woman face. Also, the Oedipus thing, although a same-sex one is refreshing to see, is a bit tired.
She killed Anna's husband for having a penis and used Sebastian (her boyfriend) as her "man dildo" after she got turned on by a woman who walked by. I wouldn't say she's bi.
