Been running the same thing. Although I have been using Acosta's and Mad Bomber talent. This build is undeniably one of the most powerful in the game today, especially when you have a squad with 2 LMGs suppressing everything so it can't escape your explosions
I've switched my skill build over to this as well. Fire starter and airburst is fanstastic.. but enemy elites roll around and dodge like crazy. It got too annoying. This however.. with that radius everyones gets blasted. Good stuff.
It takes practice getting the chem to land. If you still have trouble go with blinders firefly and chem. Theh wander around blinded and dont dodge for anything

I've been running a similar build for skills lately. I've been running a spike AR, Tag team, the named Hanna U backpack with a sniper turret and clusters. Spray near the head, fire the turret, and spray again to reduce cluster cooldown by 4 seconds. It's a good alternative for tight quarters where the mortar falls short.
I set it up differently, 4 pc hardwired, named chest with perfect glass canon and named percussive maintenance backpack. The sniper turret hits over 4.000.000 it's amazing

for crowd control a status effect build with blinder firefly and shocktraps is more effective to make the dps players more effective ans prevent them from dying my firefly blinds for 20 seconds and the cooldown is at 23/24 seconds

This is still one of my go-to builds today. I just switched out my ar talent for "in sync." gives you that little bit extra weapon dmg to play with, helps to take down the heavies faster.
I have a similar build, but took out the other 2 china pieces and replaced them with 2 Grupo Sombra instead for that extra 10% explosive damage. And the backpack talent to perfect combined arms which also have 10% more than shock and awe. Example of beginning the fight would be throw seekers, cover(proc rooted), shoot head(proc spike and combined arms) and hopefully kill if there are reds and hopefully brings back your seeker mines instantly. And depending on the situation you can change your turrets to whatever. Just don’t forget to proc combined arms as necessary esp when throwing seekers or mortar for more explosive/skill damage.
Just ran heroic space with a guy using this build, those mortars are a nightmare for me as a rifle build screen jumping all over the place, looked way cool though lol

My only variance is running with the skill kills increase skill damage by 25% when I run in bigger groups. The CD isnt as big of an issue for me so having more burn time is awesome
I used to run a very similar build but it's kinda boring so I switched back to gun build lol Tip: Double tap the skill key when the mortar turret is deployed (similar to deploying turret on the cover) allows you to lock the location so you don't need to re-aim every single shot. Work well with big guys since they get stunned from the mortar
ive been runing skill build for around a week now , checkin out different combinations of gears and atribute focus . One thing to understand with skill build is that it is very situational . If you are trying to be the DPS guy , forget it , as for skill build u will have areas where you can drop artilery or seeker mines and cause massive dmg but also majority of missions are just small waves of mobs which will be taken out by your team mates Rifle/etc DPS builds. So youll find yourself often sitting on turrets doin no job , or seeker droping into 1-3 enemies top .
I am a big fan of the gear set that allows me to instantly regenerate skills every 15s when I deploy or destroy another skill. Using roller mine with repair hive, I can just pick up the hive and place it down again to instantly regain the roller after 15s. And when first deploying it I can throw the roller twice.
Dude I pulled it off today. Not even close min maxed as you have and dude this build rocks. It takes some practice but I was abble to take +4 cp without breaking any sweat. Gj man :-)
Take a look at the mortar drone. At 6 it has 10 bombs combined with seekers or healing hive and Hard Wired set means hell fire from the sky or the ground.
I'm running pretty much the same build as this but I have huge trouble dealing with those really heavily armored enemies like the guys with the sledgehammer or flamethrower who just push into your cover and obliterate you because they can easily eat 10 mortar rounds to the face and still keep coming, or simply rush your turret and kick it over.
Yeah there are two solutions for them, replace the cluster nades this guy has (They are overrated, as the mortar is your AOE.) And instead go with either the sticky explosive to just rip the heavies apart, or go with the foam launcher to just permanently hold them in place till they die. (Sticky works best upto a certain point, great for solo upto heroic, however due to the game's broken scaling it's far less effective in groups where 8m+ damage is barely a dent in the tanks. There the foam launcher is king.)

Have you tried hard wired with seeker mines and shield? Pop seekers, wait till cd shows 25 seconds, put away shield and bring it back up for the cd reset, pop seekers again. Rinse & repeat. I don’t have the necessary pieces of your build so I can’t compare the dmg. Really curious how the difference is.
Been seeing more people running the Artillery in pugs and it makes me smile. The secret scrolls of shaolin lol EDIT: I also swap out for Overwatch on the chest from time to time to add a bit more team utility but its still AOK for solo play.
I have been running a similar bull except running 4 pieces of the Hardwired set with the Mortar and the Healing bombs ftom the chem launcher and have throwing massive DPS and some amazing sustain for my group.
I made a skill build with 2 piece Alps and RK which would give me 15% skill repair each (total 30). When I looked at the stats I only had 15% from RK. Any idea why they don’t added from different brands?
I love using the exotic backpack simply because I think the perk is bugged. All you have to do is throw the nade to enter overcharge. You don’t have to hit anything. It’s insanely powerful and should not be overlooked.
my current skill build i use the most is sniper turret with overcharge + seekers or striker drone- depends what i need most for those who run skill builds and havent tried a maxed out sniper turret with overcharge - i can clean about 80% NPC waves on Heroic Rosevelt Island - just with turret alone. and a nice glitch it mostly hits through wall - with a shooting speed greatly increased on overcharge - i strongly recommend to try this.
If you don't like the Mortar Turret, Technician Spec with Sniper Turret is pretty good too. (Plus you can get the other benefits of Technician) Also, if you're running "Skilled" Talent, kills from the Pestilence tick can cause resets too. Personally I'm still running 4 piece HW, Skilled Chest and Acosta's, Seeker/Hive. I swap to Sniper Turret for Bosses/Heavies.
I use calculated instead of skilled , my artillery turret thus 3 million damage and my seekers do 2.5 million damage !my turret has 10 sec cool down, seekers 25 sec .i just made this because of your video ! Thanks 🙏 I love it
I was looking at another variant of this. Same weapons but 2x China Light, 2x Hana U, 2x Groupo Sombra. With Talents you go for Tech Support and Glass Cannon. With all the talents proc-ing you can get up to 185% Skill damage + 40% Explosive Damage. The downside is that you can't get as many seekers out. But you can theoretically up to a skill haste of 138 or more if you put skill haste on the seeker skill mods.
I like your skill build. I have a similar build the only difference is the backpack. I use the backpack with the talent of “skill kills increase skill damage by 20% for 30 secs”. But I like that shotgun you have I need to farm it.
Sheldon Smith I like the Striker Drone because of it’s versatility and it can fly around but its health is trash and it dies easily. I prefer the turret because of its larger health pool and higher damage but I hate that its range is limited. I’m also torn between Assault Turret and Flame Turret. The Sniper turner is nice too but I’m not sure. I’m running HW chest, mask, gloves, backpack, Wyvern holster, and Fox’s Prayer Kneepads with the Surge and I’m going for that shotgun with that Perfect talent that boost Skill damage and healing while in cover.
I did so aswell, BUT Hard Wired only has 1 Attribute (just like almost any other set piece) so you are overall losing out on a lot of stats compared to using China Light 3 Piece. A perfect rolled Hard Wired piece of gear is probably the easiest to get in the entire game, but if you want to maximize your build, consider moving away from it.

I think I'm going to try your build on technician for the passive skill tier+1 and the Artificier Hive with the seeker mines. Thinking about it it sounds fun to me.
This is great. The only trouble I find is when I come up against a heavy. They don’t seem to take damage from the turret and just kick away the seekers...
So I run a Acosta bag, 4 piece of Hard Wired, and China light chest with skilled. Wouldn't want the ability for overcharge along with your skills coming back with from skilled or when you put your turret our or put it up? Or do you think this hits harder/is faster with skills?
I just made a build very similar to this, only thing Im missing is the send off. I run art turret and sticky bomb to chunk armor off. I forgot to test the damage of my turret but with all my buffs up the sticky can hit for 8.1m and has a cooldown of around 13 seconds but Im missing 1 slot for skill haste on my chest. My favorite build in the game for sure!
I have got me a 2.4 mill roller ball build but because of my backpack and one other secret when the buff procs, it all gives Me an extra 20% skill damage. My turret does about 103k a hit. I use hanu and china but don't use the full China to get status effects ad my build is done by raw damage. Have bot maxed out my skill damage % on every bit of gear yet I have one piece at 10% the rest are below 9%.
Is it more effort to use mortar turret instead of sniper turret and striker drone? You can use technician and get an extra 10% skill damage and more damage to robotics.
when buily correctly with a perfect glass cannon chest piece, you can run sniper turret instead and that shit wrecks, one hits reds on heroic with 3 players, 2 hits purples, and 4 hits elites, depending on named boss archetype it can 4 hit-8 hit. and also, after 2 bullets on a heavy, the armor is guaranteed to break and the third hit will wipe them
Good..I am using 3.3mil+ dmg mortar with shield.4 pcs hard wired can give my turret back without any cooldown.And using china light named backpack which has perfect shock and awe for more damage+talent duration.love my skill build..
i been runnin sniper turret and bleed hive, i usually place the hive near me if enemies get close and it takes em out, the sniper turret is insane, 1 shots purples, almost 1 shots elites
I guess the HW build is on par of this if not better, plus that you can use assault turret instead of artillery. i can go 4 cluster mine spam in a minute, only a heavy can stop me. The weapon i'm using is a police m4 with normal skill damge.

Yeah true but the Sniper Turret hit only 1 person at a time compared to the Artillery Turret that hits around the range radius.

Have bot maxed out my skill damage % on every bit of gear yet I have one piece at 10% the rest are below 9%.

Is it more effort to use mortar turret instead of sniper turret and striker drone? You can use technician and get an extra 10% skill damage and more damage to robotics.

Ive have had this build for a long time now skl dmg and haste are maxed for no dlc its amazing u can run all skills period if done right

when buily correctly with a perfect glass cannon chest piece, you can run sniper turret instead and that shit wrecks, one hits reds on heroic with 3 players, 2 hits purples, and 4 hits elites, depending on named boss archetype it can 4 hit-8 hit. and also, after 2 bullets on a heavy, the armor is guaranteed to break and the third hit will wipe them
how about using this build with Technician? it has + 1 skill tier in the skill tree, does it stack with 6 tier we already had and made it overcharge?

Good..I am using 3.3mil+ dmg mortar with shield.4 pcs hard wired can give my turret back without any cooldown.And using china light named backpack which has perfect shock and awe for more damage+talent duration.love my skill build..

i been runnin sniper turret and bleed hive, i usually place the hive near me if enemies get close and it takes em out, the sniper turret is insane, 1 shots purples, almost 1 shots elites
whata bout the go backpack and 1000% skill haste on revive hive overcharge?

I run almost the same build. Not with seekers but with sticky and the talents I use is tech support and kinetic momentum.
I guess the HW build is on par of this if not better, plus that you can use assault turret instead of artillery. i can go 4 cluster mine spam in a minute, only a heavy can stop me. The weapon i'm using is a police m4 with normal skill damge.
You can likely replace Surge with Harmony now, since you don't have to headshot with Perfect In Sync.
