I have never EVER cried during any game until this one. The action, horror elements, Vladd, everything was perfect, but the storyline, letters, voice acting did it for me, I really did not expect it to be like this and I dont think anyone who watched this for the first time did. Thank you Vladd for this amazing playthrough and being with us through it.❤
@@josephwillard6461 I really did. I was almost on the edge when I was seeing the bodies of the crewmates and then I burst when we found Roy. I could not hold back and it continued till the end. Losing Roy was a bit too emotional for me cause I hoped we would save him thats all. The voice acting was so smooth it felt like a damn movie.

That wasn't the last letter. That was the first letter. At the start of the game, it's Christmas time. When he leaves at the end, he says it's just until Christmas. An odd thing to say if Christmas time was already here. Also, her demeanor is strikingly different in her letter. The original one is threatening. This one is hopeful and supportive. No, what happened was, when Caz destroyed the beast (it's an Old God, by the way...not just a mere monster), it collapsed reality and reset the timeline with at least one thing changed...Suze's attitude towards him leaving for the new job. Hopefully, this time around they won't awaken the Old God again. Otherwise he may be stuck in a never ending loop.

Also I do think the police thing is part of the manipulation as they say he assaulted another man who ended up in hospital and there is literally no way that they would chase someone into international waters over an assault, especially in the (70s?) they would barely know where he went. So I think the whole thing was a mind manipulation from that thing. From the very start.
Dude the suspense was insane on this one, and the ending made me think of everytime i have to leave out on my shift not knowing if i may make it back home safe, and seeing the pictures reminds me of my son and daughter writing me notes in my lunch for me to read at work. It makes it worth while. This is one hell of a game!
as someone from england with scottish friends this is by far the best voice acting/ local lingo game i have ever seen. people that know scottish will know what i mean "jesus loves you pal, but everyone else thinks youre a c**t" is just what we would say in this situation

Installed this game without seeing anything about it, wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s by far one of the best horror games I’ve played in awhile. Voice acting it top notch, the horror has its own uniqueness while also having different aspects of other good horror games. There’s no major jump scares but just that nonstop feeling of “I need to hide” keeps you second guessing every step you take. It’s quite possibly one of my top 3 if not the number 1 best horror game I’ve played ever

I'd say play this again in your free time, at a slower pace, you will see things you didn't see before and some extra parts of story lines, this game is amazing 10/10 easy!!

Rare that a horror game is so emotionally stirring. the horror aspect... haven't seen anything like it, though the constant sense of dread is reminiscent of the first Amnesia game. This reminds me of "John Carpenter's 1982 The Thing" they release this thing while they was drilling and it started absorbing people. That's why they helicopter crashed, when it pick up those effected men, they got infected and crashed. This was intense and really good.

Not entirely game related but I want to give the developers credit and kudos for something. I was watching the subtitles off the start and even tho I understood everything the voice actors were saying because I love mainly listening to games when I'm multi-tasking, the subtitles are nice for those who aren't accustomed to the dialect. The voice actors would say something standard for them but the subtitles would basically translate to "American". I love it. It makes the game sound authentic while helping those who aren't used to it. But I'm glad I can just watch these horror games. I love horror games but I have HORRIFICCCCC Thalassophobia. 19:00 really kicked that into full gear on this game for me. I could only play a few minutes of Subnautica and even the Caves in Sons of the Forest give me panic atttacks. I can't handle them.
Watched another streamers full run through this and now watching yours. But I have to say off top, since i know everything before i even watch this playthrough, this IS one of the best made games to date. Maybe not replay value wise but voice acting, graphics, storytelling and rollercoaster emotionally. It's top tier! And thats on god, fam!

The story is solid and meaningful and the whole environment is immersive as anything Ive ever played. It could literally be a movie if done right. Its John Carpenter's The Thing on a oil rig.
Idk if anyone else caught the scream that the guy/creature does at 38:59. That’s the same scream from the movie Beowulf. When he fights the creature in the mess hall. That’s the noise he makes when he hurts his ears I believe
I watched this playthrough the other day and I'm still affected by it. Brilliant story, amazing voice acting. The visual details, all the nuances and workings of an oil rig, damn. I will admit I got to care about these characters, and wept a little when they went. When I figured out how the game was going to end I was heartbroken, but it made sense, with all the flashbacks Caz was having. DAMN, what a game, and great playthrough Vlad, this one is going to stick with me for a bit.

You can tell Vladd's Adhd was triggered at times. It seemed like he was telling himself to calm down. I think I was most worried then, it was so fast paced at points I was sure he would get caught. That's when my chili ring was sucking up my chair cushion.

I was hooked from start to finish. My grandad used to work on an oil rigg so this was pretty close to home. The horror stories he would tell us...... of course nothing like this but I don't now how people can do it.

I been waiting for you to play this!!! I tried the other day because its on Gamepass but my laptop is a little bish and couldnt run it outside of the lowest settings. Now I get to watch it in its full glory, thank you sir.
the only problem I have with this game is that guy with diabetes... seems like he suffered from hypoglycemia, meaning low blood sugar. If that is the case, you don't inject insulin, that would lower his blood sugar even more, you eat carbs. Even something sweet. If Roy followed advice from Caz to eat jam, he probably would be alive.
@@AllNamesAreTakenO you are right, that would be the other option, but I always assumed that high blood sugar causes problems only after a loong time not right away as it seems to be just few hours from the incident till he dies.

screenwriters that can't get financing for films can make games and hire top notch voice actors that have just a much emotional impact and influence and their on screen counterparts. The creativity is amazing and well done.

Those steam line leaks should be way more terrifying, in reality you won’t see the leak and the pressure can cut a person I half. You would probably want to carry a broom stick or something of the sort to hold out in front of you to find the leaks first.

the only problem I have with this game is that guy with diabetes... seems like he suffered from hypoglycemia, meaning low blood sugar. If that is the case, you don't inject insulin, that would lower his blood sugar even more, you eat carbs. Even something sweet. If Roy followed advice from Caz to eat jam, he probably would be alive.
He was in the kitchen so i think he did but then it kept dropping you feel i mean this ordeal most likely was over the span of a day or two

The dialog/accent is spot on in terms of Scotts slang.
screenwriters that can't get financing for films can make games and hire top notch voice actors that have just a much emotional impact and influence and their on screen counterparts. The creativity is amazing and well done.

Those steam line leaks should be way more terrifying, in reality you won’t see the leak and the pressure can cut a person I half. You would probably want to carry a broom stick or something of the sort to hold out in front of you to find the leaks first.
