- Laser Attraction Part 2 - this game is packed with new mechanics, and prisms are next up! When light enters, the different wavelengths will refract differently, allowing you to separate them. Massively impressed with this game's physics, feel like I'm learning a lot here.

People are saying the physics are really well done, which makes this game even better. I don't know much about optics, but I'm having a great time learning about them through playing.
yeah the physics are crazy accurate
I like cats
This is the most visually pleasing puzzle game I've seen, and you are quite good at it also, good job for the creators and your big brain never ceases to surprise me, also I have the 69th like so that's better than first comment lol
The physics could be very accurate, or they could be way off, I wouldn’t know. I have zero clue what’s going on with the prisms.
This game floods my brain with all my physics lessons I've never actually used and forgotten about.
An explanation of total internal reflection (i.e. the wierd bouncing in the glass):
When light enters a different substance, its angle changes based on that substance's refractive index.
When light moves from a substance with a higher refractive index to a substance with a lower ( ex. Glass to air) and the exiting angle will be 90° or great, the light will reflect internally instead of leaving the substance. This is how fiber optic cables work.
Ya, the triangles behave that way, the rectangles just work with some opposite face mechanics that don't really make sense but make the game interesting at least.
I know optics and this is barely understandable.
@@sayethwe8683 its really not, he just explained it really "textbook" like
@@owlman145 That's actually how rays behave inside rectangular prisms, compare e.g. ricktu288.github.io/ray-optics
Also the angle with which the light will exit from the glass (or enter) will slightly change depending on the wave length, which means depending on the color
Hey, you weren’t supposed to do that 14:05. But really enjoyed watching you play my game, especially when you completed level 17 exactly as intended, learning to use more than one side of the square reflector to make the beams parallel.
Great game man. Would love to see how the levels were intended to be won so I can compare to content creators differences.
Nice game
Oh wow your game is awesome
Your game is very smartly designed. I also really appreciate the sound design, it adds a lot
@@sanjivinsmoke9154 Thanks, I enjoy seeing all the different ways people come up with to solve the puzzles. Many are intended to have multiple solutions, but I’ve being thinking about adding a developer’s guide to Steam with my preferred solutions so you can compare them.
literally finished the first episode, thought "man wish the second video was out" then this released lol
U saying u don't watch all of his videos in the first hour of release?
@@nothingnothing1799 not all people sleeping past midnight lmao
I've been loving all the new games being tried out recently! Especially this one!
The dev should add a face cam mode with larger side bezels
Or he just shrinks his facecam or makes a stream frame with the game in it
Honestly its time for a new video format where we as the viewer can move the facecam around or collapse it completely. We have the technology, we just need the code.
I've had this idea for a while. .mmv files (modular multimedia video) with modules you can customize in the viewer
@@megamiana-spaceforcecomman705 cool idea, personally I’d use it to enlarge Tyler’s face so much that it fills the frame, then I would watch off his glasses reflection. Cheers!
Tyler also could make a scene in the recordin/streaming software where the gameplay isnt fullscreen
@@jacksonbf when the time comes, we shall no longer ask for wide cam, we shall widen it ourselves. Rejoice brethren.
8:54 An Ultra Rare Tyler noise expressing the emotion "sudden bewilderment"
With the prisms (triangles) they split the light because different colors of light refract different amounts. The higher the wavelength, the more it refracts. So red refracts less than violet. This video: ruclips.net/video/Aggi0g67uXM/видео.html
is a really good basic explanation of why.
Something something I'm guessing different frequencies are differently energetic?
As someone who builds systems using this stuff irl, this is an awesome game and surprisingly accurate with Total Internal Reflection and Fiber exit angles
I wonder whether there'd be glass pieces with more curvy shapes. That'd be cool
Every time he presses reset or clicks on a new level it makes the discord message sound and it gets me every time
I enjoy the gameplay but the music is just perfect
This game looks really neat! I might pick it up myself if I have the time.
its a physics simulator disguised as a game
I’m glad you playing this awesome game again
This channel is better than most, it strives for quality over quantity, BUT STILL HAS A BUNCH. I watched from Bloons Battles and still am right now, I love these puzzle games ngl.
Thank you! Very kind of you to say
I'm really enjoying this series! It's a lot of fun to watch and follow! Would love to see everything this game has to offer through you!
Gotta say the music is really good for the game
This is the earliest I've we've caught one of your videos sooo yay, also Loving this game!
Facts: Since the wavelength of red is lower than, say blue, it bounces out of a prism at a lower angle, making it end up higher on the other side
The wavelength of red is longer than blue.

This game is so good omg I love it! It's so pretty! Thank you for showing us this! How has nobody made a game with this concept until now? It's so fucking cool
Dang that's pretty cool
This musiiiiic! Love it
Isn't it nice to re-learn a bunch of physics principles from secondary?
Last time I was this early, we were tweaking springs, not light beams.
I refreshed my notifications the second this got posted
11:47 the devs are putting crazy efforts into making their setups to show what's not supposed to be happening
Background music on fire!
More laser game woo
lovin the daily uploads.
Forth like for chebs
Bought the game after episode 1, was a pretty fun 30min, the penultimate puzzle was cool.
when ever i have to poop while watching your videos i always pause and watch a different one in the restroom because i can never be half concentrating while watching your videos if i am i will miss a bunch of mechanics
this is so random of a compliment
Love the Music
i remember playing a similar mini game inside a game about electricity. it was educational material called zap!
God the soundtrack is so good
The shorter wavelength blue light refracts more(higher refractive index) than the longer wavelength red light. This means that when it goes from a more dense object(the prisms/glass) to a less dense object(air), the blue light will bend more than the red light.
Very good
You should definitely look into Reventure.
8:22 This guy became Ben for a brief second
I can already tell that if i get this game, i would look for the most complicated laser trail solutions possible. How many times can i refract and remerge the laser colors before getting to the goal? How long can i make the laser trail? How many times can i get the same laser through a single prism or bounce off a single mirror?
The game is begging for achievements for such creativity. Not just "beat level #", but "clear a level without using all tools", "get a laser length of x", etc.
I learn optics rn, and this game is pretty much accurate
This Game is so increadably satisfing
Hell yea!
I like this
Day 82 of saying that you should look into Recursed, it is an awesome puzzle game with awesome recursion craziness and it does a great job teaching you the mechanics as you play without any blatant tutorial levels
Man I swear I dreamed of this a month ago...
It is just how light works. ^^
This guy is underrated guys let's get him 1-million subscribers
Would a transparent face cam work to help with the issue of it blocking some parts?
music is amazing
As someone who doesn't understand how light reflects off of the various surfaces, it looks like Tyler is just messing around and stumbling onto the solution.
The game is talking about different refractive indices of different colors in different mediums, it's insane
*Insane uses of sine functions
The music in this game is great, does anyone know where I can find it?
Is this game on steam or anything? I think my 7 year old son would love it. He beat little big planet the other day by himself and seems to really enjoy puzzles. I want to keep him challenged so he keeps getting better.
It is on Steam! It’s under $10 and I bet he would enjoy it
Do rounds next please its been so long and i love the game
Tyler you should play the phoenix wright ace attorney trilogy on steam, it's sort of like a puzzle game, in the sense that you would need to use logic, but also like a novel, I think you would like it, and I think it will be entertaining to see you play.
If you want to learn some terminology, google total internal reflection. It relates to the glass tubes that you send light in
Giggity @ 6:26
The physics are really accurate but honestly if they weren’t, it’d be questionable. Optics have very computationally simple governing equations
I enjoy the puzzle plays, I've ended up buying two games so far and this looks like a third. Especially if there might be community levels at some point.
This game would benefit from you just turning off the face cam.
Put the facecam inside a placeable cube in the level?
aliensrock
You can learn how to play the game better by researching prisms, because that is some accurate light reflection/splitting. Simplified, sure, but WOW.
level 20 can be done just with mirrors
I am badly sunburnt and am on the brink of crying due to the pain
Try aloe Vera cream, instead of the youtube comments
Day 1 of asking aliensrock to play Gravitas
Day 1 of agreeing.
Hey Tyler, if I were you I'd record your facecam and screen separately so you don't have to worry about it while recording. Just a thought
I’m having dajavoo of this moment at 12:17 of someone else having dajavoo about this moment I’m tripping

I personally dont mind if you don't use a facecam for games, such as this, that require you to move it constantly.
anyone else checking discord every time he beats a level?

Play more minnit please!
Day 235 of telling Tyler that he never finished his minecraft series and that he should finish it.
howards that going for you? i know, i’m fuller myself
@@garrettfuller5456 I applaud you and your puns good sir.
i'd recommend getting yourself a green screen for this game to avoid the facecam shenanigans you're facing while playing this game

this game is for chese masters only
Maybe it is time for small face cam to make its entrance

Instead of constantly having to move your camera, why not just turn it off?
Perhaps you could understand the physics better by ignoring the puzzles. Just mess around a bit; see how small changes affect the situation and figure out how the angle changes through air and glass.
Currently it seems like you're just guessing with little direction.

You want a medal?
Just turn off your face cam. It adds nothing to the video
Or at least shrink the game window and have your face off to the side
