Well as unexpected and rather it was that Keanu Taylor got killed upon having lost everything just like that, I'd say that'll serve his sister Bernie and their mother Karen right for what they did in the first place.
In other words, Keanu would still be alive if it weren't for Karen after the way she disapproved of his relationship with Sharon and chose not to give Phil his money back before doing a runner with it. Suffice to say that Keanu's death is punishable to her for what she did, because she just couldn't accept that the Mitchells are more dominant than her own family. Because that is simply everyday life that cannot be altered in anyway.
And in other words, if Karen had relented in letting Keanu give Phil the money back OR perhaps if Phil did get his money back from the Taylors before they ran away with it, then Keanu would still be alive.
For Bernie, though, she should've simply kept her mouth shut and just let Keanu marry Sharon. But oh no. Emotional distraction and personal grief got the better of her. She told Phil what happened just because she was unwilling to go along with the pretence for one more day, and in her defence to "seeing red" was really just to get back at Keanu because of the way things turned out.
Well whatever reasons Bernie may have against Keanu, it ended up leading to his death in the end. And once Bernie eventually finds out that he is dead, she'll come to sorely regret what she did for the rest of her life. And rightfully so. Because had she just kept her mouth shut for one more day, ONE MORE DAY AND LET KEANU MARRY SHARON IN THE END, then her brother would still be alive in the end.
So if anything, Karen and Bernie are the ones who are truly responsible for Keanu's death because of their stupid selfish actions.
Linda may have been the one who killed Keanu in the end, but she never really wanted to kill Keanu in the end. Yes okay Keanu did lash out at Sharon, but then Sharon's harsh words are what provoked him into strangling her in the first place.
Moreover, the moment Sharon and Keanu had their final confrontation in The Queen Vic after Nish's supposed death, it quickly became clear that Keanu had lost everything around him - his daughter, his family, his happiness with Sharon, and their son ever since she told him that he was never Albie's biological father all along. Plus what Sharon did was purely spiteful because she wanted to hurt him back in retribution for the events over Albie's kidnapping matter.
It was those words that provoked Keanu to strangle her in a fit of rage. And whether he really was going to kill her or not, it was because he'd already realized that he lost everything as Sharon's harsh words meant that there was no going back for them - Sheanu were finished for good and nothing could simply make it back to the way it was again.
When Linda stabbed him, she only attempted to stop him from throttling Sharon to the virtual of death - she never intended to kill Keanu in the first place. Unfortunately for Linda, what she did ultimately became fatal in the end. She'd hoped that she would stop him without killing him when she acted on self-defence on her friend's behalf, but unfortunately the stabbing was so deep and fatal that Keanu consequently died as a result.
Yes Linda stabbed Keanu in self-defence. Yes she saved Sharon by stabbing Keanu. But she only did it to stop Keanu from throttling Sharon to death - Linda had absolutely zero intentions on killing Keanu. If he'd lived she'd have barred him from the pub and resent him for the way his secret had hurt Sharon because she and Sharon were the closest of friends, but she is not the sort of women who wish anyone dead - except from the ones who personally hurt her family such as Dean Wicks or Janine Butcher.
So as I stated before, Linda killed Keanu but is not directly responsible for his death - she just acted on a spur of a moment and her attempts to stop him ultimately proved fatal for him in the end. The ones who are truly responsible for Keanu's death are Sharon, Bernie, and Karen because they were the ones who led Keanu to losing everything around him and making him "too far gone". Shame on them is what I'll say.
Once Keanu's death becomes public knowledge, Bernie and Karen - if the latter comes back to the square that is - should feel guilty for what they did and rightfully so. Shame on them is what I'll say for their stupid selfish actions.
As for Sharon, well I'd say the same thing except this is somewhat yet another tragedy where her happiness has died once again.
First her parents, then her unborn child with Grant, then her boyfriend Tom Banks, then her father again, then her beloved husband Dennis Rickman, then their son Denny, and now her fiancé Keanu.
Only this time Sharon's loss is partially her own fault for a change - had she not been harsh to Keanu in the end and just agreed to find a way of mending their relationship even if there is no chance of getting married again, but still mending their relationship for Albie's sake, then he would not be provoked into lashing out at her and more importantly he would still be alive.
The fault on Keanu's death goes to Sharon and Bernie and Karen altogether. Yes Linda is the one who killed him, but she is not at fault for Keanu's death. Because she isn't the one who'd literally taken everything away from him. Those who did are as much responsible and to blame for his death than the one who killed him in the end.
And that's the truth. That is what happened. End off. Full-stop.
By rights Phil should now be pissed with Sharon for not only not telling him sooner, but also because she likely wouldn't have told him at all had she not found out what Keanu did.
Keanu's secret being revealed is what he deserved. He lied to Sharon and everyone, let his Mum take the blame, didnt give a shit about Bernie either. I do not feel sorry that Sharon told him Albie aint his, he's not mature enough to be a father to EITHER of his kids.

like i don't actually mean it the way it sounds BUT...i hated keanu as a character...no backbone, wishy-washy, infantile and ultimately forgettable. i think the actor did an amazing job at portraying him though...very believable. he was kinda like ben without the psych0 that makes him interesting. so sad for karen tho...to risk everything to have your second wain done in and one close call in keegan...very reminiscent of carmel kazemi 😢
