The Real Rookie of the year!...who can do it all, two-way player, defend, block, steal, mid-range, 3pt, drive, post up, transition & CLUTCH!
unlike Mitchel who has the purple light to chuck 24 shots and make 8, or Simmons who flat out can't shoot! popularity contest is what this award is...

      Ovid Naso
Am a Celtics die hard fan and i still respect mitchell game. He is a rookie who took out okc with Westbrook,pg,adams,melo..you cant ignore that. I still think tatum is more efficient and the best talent overall .but mitchell its right there have some respect

Will never forget this series. It was crazy to realize in real time that the rookie is the most dominant player on a team loaded with all-star talent.

At that time hayward and kyrie were out for the season and horford wasn’t really a all star at that age but still was crazy to see, I remember as a Celtics fan being scared of the sixers and thinking we were gonna lose
They had good players at every positions and great defenders while being on a hot roll coming off their first round series with Ben looking like the next lebron before Brad exposed him

Yeah I was on it from the jump I knew they would of picked him #1 over all he was the best player all-rounder in his draft class. I hope he's getting rest working on his durability and gets the chance to prove himself further hoping that the season resumes. @

the Celtics dominate the 76ers in the playoffs three times but first you have to go back to the year 2017 in the NBA draft withe 76ers decided to pass on him and that gave him motivation to show 76ers that you shouldn’t have passed on me for Fultz he would’ve taken them to new heights. It may be a championship, but the Celtics drafting him was a blessing thank you Ainge

Mitchel has more muscle and 3 point shot than Tatum. Tatum has more height, wingspan, offense skill, deffense skill! Also, he is a sf not sg. Today, sf are core players in most of teams. Just few sg players are all star level but, there are a lot of all star level sf players in nba. Mitchel has advantage from that point. He didn't get match up with all star level players in most of games but, Tatum play with the great sf players. Mitchel has horrible record when he meet gsw. Yes, the team has thompson the ace stopper. Mitchell is so over rated by his avg points. He could be get more points because he is ace of team and opposite players are not good. Tatum is definetly better than mitchell.

Probably not, but just the fact that they got to conference finals with a time like this says a lot about their future. I mean their best players were 20, 21 and 24 years old. If they keep Brown and Tatum with Irving and Hayward they are gonna be serious contenders for at least next 5 years, probably even more.
