A timely upload, we pick up our Q4 45 SLine Sportback tomorrow, really looking forward to it, it's seemed like soooo long ago when we ordered it, April 1st 2024, thanks so much for all your videos relating to the car, it's our first EV so they've been super helpful, coming from a 2018 Octavia so it will be quite the difference.
    Thanks again

I've had my Q4 40 S-Line for just shy of a year. I went for the that based in part on your reviews.
I'd agree with pretty much everything you say. I'm surprised by how it's eating through tyres. New tyres are included as part of my lease, and I thought new tyres every 20,000 miles seemed a bit ridiculous, but I'm at 18,500 now, and they'll be just about ready for it by the time I get to 20,000.
I've had zero problems so far though. There's a couple of nice upgrades in my model year vs. yours. I do have front parking sensors, and I also have the matrix headlights, and they are like magic. I honestly never thought I'd tell other people about headlights on a car, but having had a Tesla before this, with it's absolutely shambolic auto-high beams, the lights on this car are simply incredible. I live out in the country, and do a lot of driving down narrow, twisty, country lanes, and having the lights illuminate as much as possible without dazzling other drivers is absolutely brilliant.
All told, second best car I've ever owned, but since the best was a Porsche 911, it's hardly a fair comparison!

Go for another Q4 in a year ! I just swapped my 3year old SLine 40 for 45. As someone has commented its a much improved and more mature vehicle. Better brakes steering more compliant suspension faster more range faster charging more equipment ! Keyless entry and front and rear parking sensors plus rear camera are great as is foot operated tailgate. It cost me £21k to change (which I did earlier than I normally would for some personal reasons). A lot of money but not disastrous. This one I will keep a long time as I have the extended 6yr warranty on it. Same colour as yours but Ive had the wheels powder coated in metallic graphite and it transforms the whole look of the car. Keep posting Ive been following you since you bought this car.

Had my first ‘winter’ test today of our 45 Sport. 220 miles in 4c (dropping to 1c) and sleet and snow. Heated seats, wipers and lights on all the time and full boot. Still had 80 miles range left. I was mightily impressed.

Thanks for the update. Our Q4 40 S Line is coming up to 2 years old with just under 30k miles on it. Apart from one fault where the headlights and indicators wouldn't come on (cured by a reset by disconnecting the 12V battery) it's been completely trouble free.

I've enjoyed your videos over the past three years! For us we've decided to leave Audi behind as our lease ends this month. We enjoyed the Q4 but newer models are too expensive for its feature set and the Q6 is just too expensive overall.

@@TonyGoff-Yu yeah I can’t justify the cost of the Q6 (as nice as it is). What are you going for next? I’m considering various options - Model Y, ID Buzz, EV9, i5 Touring etc

@@edinreviews Going for a Polestar 4. In terms of tech/performance/price it's a good balance in it's space. I'm expecting some software issues, but based on what I've read Polestar do seem to be pretty on it in terms of OTA's (unlike Audi which gave us...err...none?).

Nice review. I own a 5 year old Audi A3 diesel S-line (black edition) and have always liked the look of the Q4 and would certainly prefer a car of this size although you'd be surprised how versatile the A3 can be when it has to ;-) I also have the virtual cockpit which I know is standard in the Q4. I do have to start the car with the ignition keys though which I was surprised about even for a 5 year old car. I don't do enough driving just now to justify changing my car but if I was to consider going EV then the Q4 would certainly be on my shortlist

I've had my new Q4 45 quattro for 2 months now and I'm really happy with it. I think it's a much more mature car compared to when it first came out.
With battery pre conditioning, faster charging and more horsepower.
Matrix headlights is awesome this time of year.
I've had a couple of new A3's and A4's and I think the Q4 is way more value for the money.

I still really enjoy my 2021 Aurora Violet Q4, although the depreciation has been rough.
BTW, I would strongly recommend that you renew the Audi Connect Remote and Control in the Audi Function store. It is only £1 for 2 years and is what keeps the App talking to the car - well worth it (or it was at least in July). I haven't renewed the navigation though as this was about £115 a year and I generally use navigation on the phone - strangely this option has disappeared from the shop for me now so I might need to check with Audi why. As you mentioned the Audi Nav works fine still, but has no traffic info.

good update, thx. for the replacement would you consider the big brother Q6? Im just about to hit 60k kms in my '23 Q4, yes Id like faster charging and longer range but its worked quite well over our 18mths together. I think the new tech and platform of the Q6 would be my choice or the Porsche Macan EV...........cheers

@@malcolmbennett3555 the Q6 looks lovely but not sure it gains much over the Q4 for my use- I don’t regularly use rapid chargers as I mostly charge on destination chargers and I don’t regularly travel long distances. If I could justify the extra cost I’d take one, but it’s gonna be a tough sell with the Mrs lol

My Q4 40 Sport on 19" wheels came with Hankook tyres, I'm currently at 28,000 miles and the tyres are about 65% worn and even, so should be good for getting close to 40,000 miles. I do mostly motorway driving.
