McLaren 720S | Brands Hatch | Instructor Track Experience (EveryMan Racing)

- This is a track day experience at Brands hatch in a Mclaren 720S. The footage shown is part of a media package you can select in the experience. I wanted to share this so you can get a feel of what it is like if you choose such an experience.
From my personal point of a view it was a lot slower than I was expecting and have experience at other track experiences at Silverstone and Porsche experience center for example (also on my channel).

Image paying all that money to drive slower than I used to in my nans 1.1 Renault clio on the way to work
“Hard on the brakes”… then “try not to be so brutal on the brakes” why are fast car driving instructors always so bad?
Yes this one was the worst I have had. I have had very good experiences though at places like Porsche Silverstone Experience centre, Thruxston and Silverstone's main race circuit 👍
Totally put me off ever doing one of these track days,all he seems to do is criticise u’re driving,if i was in u’re place i would of gone home feeling under-inflated and useless and not hyped out at the experience if driving a McLaren,what a let down this must of been for u,i would say this instructor is narcissistic
I should stress the other instructors we're a lot different so it does vary. I imagine it is to do with the value and the power of the 720S. In truth if I had crashed it I would have felt pretty terrible but I did feel he went a bit over the top particularly as I had already driven a few cars and 7 laps around the track before driving this car 🤔
Short shifting and early braking…. Perfect way to ruin a driving experience, awful instructor, I’d of complained
This instructor sounds a bit unsure how to handle situations himself imo
Agreed it was a bit of a strange one! I found the other instructors to be a little more relaxed but it did make for a slow experience IMHO 🤔
What’s the point in doing these experiences when you can’t open the car up. What a boring instructor! I did a corporate experience at Rockingham where I drove a variety of cars and the instructors really got you to push all the cars. When I was driving the Ferrari the instructor kept saying the car can go faster around the track so kept pushing me to go faster. That was an amazing and experience and you got to drive all the cars really hard.
I agree! Some experiences are good but I would not recommend these ones as it ruined the experience for me
Guy sounds like hes scared to be in the car, not once did i hear the scream of the engine. I did an everyman experience a few years ago, 2 out of 4 guys pushed me to go hard in the cars, then I did one 2 years ago with PSR, they were all tame apart from the instructor in the huracan... pushed me to climb the rev counter until I felt the full power.... really does just depend on the instructor
I have done a few with everyman and have preferred others personally. Good to hear though that you had a better experience than me. I did have a good time in the Arial Atom that day as the instructor was a lot more chilled out 👍
Amazing car! Makes it seem no fun with the way the instructor is doing things.
Yeah the instructor was a bit over the top......particularly holding the steering wheel on one of the most fun bends / elevation changes on a circuit! I felt that was unnecessary it I am honest 🤔
@@SamAustin yep just very paranoid. Btw I did the Porsche GT4 experience (heard about it from you) and really enjoyed it - they're an example of how these experiences should be.
@@SamAustin tbf he gets the bill if you crash, but was a bit excessive and unclear with braking orders lol
Could drive it plenty faster in my 74hp renault clio, turn in is not a very good instruction ahaha I would be asking for my money back
Agreed, I would not recommend EveryManRacing after my experiences with them
Some terrible instruction going on. Very inconsistent, and getting on the power before you even apex? Weird.
I did not enjoy it with them I have to say overall. Cars were great but time was very short in them and the instructor in the 720S did not result in an enjoyable experience. I would recommend Porsche Silverstone Experience Centre from my experience with track driving 👍

Yeah it was not ideal. For me the best experiences have been at Porsche Silverstone where there are only a handful of people on track.....sometimes your the only one plus you get 90minutes in the car! I think the main problem is the time given in each car for these ones. I am sure the instructor would be more lenient if you had say an hour in the car as the session went on but as you only have 5minutes they have to assume you are a novice and go from there. I do see you point though and it does put me off aswell.
