Hey - I def use less eq now.. u should also be aware that certain eqs (like ableton stock eq) create a phase shift that can be undesired.. that said I'm not afraid to follow the sound and use whatever I need to to get there. Probably the more skilled you are at eq the more you can do it quicker but thats just a hypothesis. Goodluck!
