Ford's SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system will enable Tourneo Custom drivers to control audio, navigation and connected smartphones using simple, conversational voice commands. Simply by pushing a button and saying "I need a coffee," "I need fuel," and "I need to park," drivers can locate nearby cafés, fuel stations or car parks, and find train stations, airports, and hotels. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™.
The new Ford Tourneo Custom also introduces a number of advanced driver assistance features, and is the first vehicle in its segment to offer Intelligent Speed Limiter, which enables automatic adjustment of maximum vehicle speed to remain within legal limits, using the Traffic Sign Recognition system to detect speed limit signs.
The new model also offers Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, which warns drivers reversing out of a parking space of vehicles that may soon be crossing behind them.
These new features add to the comprehensive suite of technologies already available for Tourneo Custom, including the Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection emergency braking system, Lane Keeping Alert, Side Wind Stabilisation and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Unique-in-segment rear seating for ultimate flexibility and comfort
To provide customers the ultimate flexibility in configuring and using the rear cabin, the new Ford Tourneo Custom is the only vehicle in its segment to offer six individual seats, with the ability to arrange the two rear rows in conference format for outstanding access and enhanced interaction between passengers, or in two rows of three seats facing forward.
Standard on high series models, the six individual seats can each be folded flat, tumbled, stowed in a multiple locations or removed completely, enabling customers to create limousine-like space, maximise the luggage area or meet their own special business or lifestyle requirements.
Travelling comfort is further enhanced by new seat designs featuring revised foam padding and geometry for optimised support, plus improved refinement resulting from a significantly upgraded sound reduction package in the rear cabin. Rear seat passengers will also appreciate the more effective air conditioning system offering faster cooling or heating, six USB ports, and the 10-speaker audio system tuned for a rich and balanced sound whatever the rear seating layout.
Throughout the vehicle, the interior trim has been completely revised - from the headliner and seats to the side panels and carpets - with a focus on outstanding craftsmanship and appearance. The selection of more upscale materials, such as thick yarn fabrics and fine grain leathers, and the availability of both light and dark interior environments in stylish, contemporary colours, reinforce the impression of quality and attention to detail within the cabin.
Class-leading Ford EcoBlue engines with auto transmission option
New Ford Tourneo Custom features the state-of-the-art Ford EcoBlue diesel engine with a choice of 105 PS, 130 PS and 170 PS power ratings, delivering significant cost of ownership and performance benefits, with fuel-efficiency improved by up to 13 per cent; CO2 emissions from 162 g/km; and low-end torque enhanced by 20 per cent.
The latest specification also includes the smooth and responsive six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, a unique-to-segment rear air suspension system that delivers a supple, controlled and level ride across a wide range of load conditions, and a 17-inch alloy wheel option for enhanced handling and braking performance.
Upscale Titanium X and Sport series options for the ultimate Tourneo
To satisfy the requirements of business and private customers seeking the ultimate specification, new Ford Tourneo Custom will be available with an upscale Titanium X package that includes leather trim, SYNC 3 with satellite navigation and rear view camera, and HID Xenon headlamps as standard.
For customers seeking a more dynamic exterior appearance and a stylish sports interior, the new Sport series is also available. This package combines the 170 PS engine option, a full exterior body kit with twin bonnet stripes and unique 17-inch alloy wheels, alongside partial leather interior trim.
The Ford Tourneo Custom line-up continues to also offer both eight- or nine-seat configurations, with a choice of short wheelbase and long wheelbase versions. The longer model provides additional luggage space behind the third seat row.

I drove one of these recently and I'd give it 3/5. You feel like you're driving a van (the Transit Custom Kombi is basically the same vehicle). On the plus side it's comfortable and has a good high up driving position. It also has a LOT of space inside and under seats. It can easily fit 6 passengers in comfort or fold down seats to provide cup holders and suchlike. There are a lot of USB ports in the back too which is handy. The infotainment system is okay but the touchscreen is *way* too far away and out of view of the driver. The automatic version I drove was fairly sprightly although it clattered a bit at low speeds. On the negative side. It's hard to park because its a van, awkward to get in and out of, and too tall for some car park entrances. The front doors are huge which doesn't help with parking either although at least the back ones slide. The tail door is massive too, and swings up which is good for loading, but not so good if you are backed up against trees, pillars etc. The automatic gear shifter is quite annoying because there is a M for manual setting adjacent to D and I constantly had to check the screen to see if I was in the right setting. I was driving a 2.0L diesel which was quite speedy but it drank fuel. It's okay but honestly unless I really had to drive that many people I'd buy something smaller.
I JUST ordered this TODAY here in the UK. Exact same colour, seating style, honestly looks like Executive-class airliner interior.....but for my family :)

@@Thelastmistake It’s good, reliable but not best at fuel efficiency...That being said it does the job but I plan on getting a Mercedes next time.

Mistake not having the seats on rails or the possibility to transform the rear seats into a bed such as a multivan

These high-tech prototypes were successfully tested in countries like Canada, USA, Australia, Norway, England, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Poland, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Israel, China, India, South Korea and Japan. We should already be manufacturing 35-40 million emission-free vehicles annually, and H2O engine systems should have been producing energy instead of our fossil-based and nuclear power plants. Entire technological documentations of such technologies have vanished in the EU`s Institute for Innovation and Technology, and, according to the legislation in order, it is right to be so. The expense involved in the production of such technologies is half of that of the traditional engines, they weigh about 70% less, and they can provide a huge torque. Their working range can be several thousand miles, cars could weigh 200 kg less, and their price could be 3-4000 Euros less. Segments of nearly the entire car industry secretly have the prototypes and successful tests. At the present moment we are poisoning our environment just out of mere arrogance and greed. We live in a cheap and indecent world. I firmly claim that we simply shouldn`t lie to 7 billion people, and this is only the tip of the iceberg. This information is entirely true and I hold myself accountable for its validity.

Anybody who takes a Ford tranny van to the salty beach needs there head read ! Also I see you have not improved locks same old problems with some new gadgets thrown in which will become future problems rust and theft have always been your downfall and u have not addressed them, I love the look of it and thoses new reverse out sensors look amazing, but if the driver reversed into that space he would not have needed to reverse out blind ps where’s my wife’s usb charger only one in the front wtf

I have 2017 Ford Tourneo minibus with the newly introduced AdBlue engine plus automatic transmission has been pretty good done 100000 miles
Broke down at the weekend alternator £500 fitted as only Ford stock hopefully nothing serious goes wrong ££££££££££££ could be even more ridiculous
ED K my 2013 toyota yaris alternator died recently. Costed me £350 to buy and fit.
