I don't like the 2015's because they are different. A duplicate is a simple concept and especially the inner red and slanted back are a let down. Great Post Thanks
When you mentioned the width of the collars, the 2015 is wider because you didn't have it laced up. If they were laced up, the collar would go inwards.
the thing I never liked about the 94's (I got them in '94 I was 16) was the toe. The red leather was way too wide, doesnt look like the 85's at all but they copied the 85's in other ways thats better than any release afterwards. The best retro ever is the 94 Jordan 3. That one was very close to the original 88, and no release after comes close to being as original. I have those too, but arent in as good of shape as they were my favorite shoes in 94 I wore them a lot. I had the 85's in 1985, but was a kid and tore them all up and they were thrown away within a couple years. I have pictures of me in them though with my Jordan warm up shirt so its always fun to look back. I really wish when they retro something, they would literally make it exactly the same but it doesnt seem possible.
Thanks for the video I got a pair of 2015's and my step brother keeps on telling me that they are fakes. Due to this video I can see the similarities between mine and yours and can tell that they aren't. So thank you
Thanks for taking the time for the raffles and vids. Makes me feel better since I struck out but at least I get your detailed review and comparisons. 👍
How's the fit on the 94-95 chicagos? I'm a size 14 in modern Jordan retros but I was curious about these. A size 14 is like 5k where a size 13 is 2k so if I could I'd love to fit in a 13 but something tells me they run small. Thanks for your help and have a great day!
Original AJ 10s for me run true to size. Going down a half size meant sacrificing comfort. I haven’t had issues with modern retros although everyone’s foot is different.
Wish I could have gotten a pair, but the only pair of 1's I want are black/red's. Never owned a pair of any Jordan 1 Hi's in any OG colorway. To add on to your reasoning of why the Chicago 1's are unlaced, I believe I read somewhere that it is an ode to MJ's last game at MSG. *To anyone that weren't alive during that time, that is reading this comment, MJ received a DS unlaced pair of Chicago 1's, which he wore in-game, in 1998 before his last game against the NY Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Thanks for your great comparison video. If you don't mind me asking: is the 2015 back not straight up from the side and wider (collar) from the back only because they are unlaced compared to the other 2 versions (85's and 95's)??? When you lace up the 15's the back will loose the curve and the collar tighten. Ps. Love your videos tho 😉
Nah the 2015 is definitely slanting at the heel. I also have a pair I'm beating down and it's the same as my DS pair. The 85 and the 94 have straight heels when looking side by side.
You compared the toebox material for the 2015 and 1994 ones but forgot to compare them to the 1985 one. How's the OG material like on the toebox man? :)
The OG leather is much thicker. Genuine. Takes awhile for that leather to break in and soften up while the 2015 is soft out the box. The 1994 matched up a little more to the OG but not as thick a cut of leather. OG all the way still for me. Hope that helps.
Woah! Alright. Off topic, I can only fit GS sizes, should I still collect Jordan's? I know GS is always short changed compared to men's when it comes to some style/materials/tech I.e. Jordan 1 bred 2016 men's leather is far better than GS's
I just bought my bf the Chicago 1 2015s for his birthday. Gonna cover it up under a bunch of black socks. This boy gonna lose his mind when he opens up his prezzie

TechVidz different manufacturers (many of the old ones closed) and often times they no longer have access to the original molds
