Just bought a 2020 TH EXACTLY like yours, 40K MILES, is an absolute blast to drive! Just used it last week to rescue my son who was stranded at work in a snow storm, didn't slip once or lose traction at all while other cars and trucks were in the ditch/median.
Such a great vehicle! Congratulations!
Just wanted to let you know that this video is SUPER informative for someone that doesn't know much about cars. I have been thinking about getting the Trail Hawk. You have another believer!! Thank you!!
Glad ypu enjoyed it. Was such a fantastic suv and a Billy goat in the woods. So capable, so comfortable and pretty dang perfect
I bought my 2021 Cherokee Trailhawk four months ago and as repetitive as it sounds I absolutely love it! I had a 97’ 4.0L I gave to my mother-in-law and went with full size luxury SUV’s. Two Avalanche’s, a Tahoe and an Expedition EL + several Lincolns! I finally came to my senses and bought another Jeep! We have a camp on Wolfe Island on the St. Lawrence river and I can’t wait till we go up and try her out off-road! Your video is going to make it 100 times better! Very informative! God bless you!
Congratulations on your trailhawk. You are gonna love it
Just bought my wife the 2022 Trail Hawk and we really love it. Driving on the highway is really a pleasure.
Such an amazing vehicle
I have one and absolutely love it. I usually get a car and trade it in after a few years but this one is a forever jeep. Thanks.
Such an amazing vehicle. I miss mine. Needed a truck so had to sell it. But Loved it!
I think thats the first time I've ever seen the words forever and jeep in the same sentence together. Nothing is forever with a Chrysler 🤣
Love my 2020 Cheokee Traihawk! The ride is smooth, quiet, comfortable and fun to drive.
One sweet ride.
Agree 100% loved mine!
Man, thank you for this video. Just bought the 2021 Cherokee Trail Hawk today. Glad I found this video. I went in thinking I wanted Rubicon. Drove my buddies Rubicon a couple of times, but on the highway doing 80 mph it was rough. I test drove this just to see. Got it on the highway at 80 mph and loved it. Have not taken it off road (as I just bought it), but heading to an out of the way shooting range (that would beat up my Compass that I traded in) tomorrow to test her out. Thanks again for the video...really made me happier with the choice I made.
You will love it. I think it is super comfortable, very affordable, had great on road manors, great mpg, lots of space for its size and the only 2 suvs thst can compare to it off road is the 4runner and wrangler. And neither of those have all of the other things I mentioned. If I were buying another vehicle today it would be this again 100%
I got a 2019 KL Trailhawk back in December 2022. This video was very helpful at the time with my decision. BEST decision I made. This Cherokee Trailhawk is definitely a sleeper when it comes to the capabilities. I've taken my KL off-road with other Wranglers, and EVERY time I get a following because people just don't know how capable this vehicle is!
Yep such a great offroad rig and excellent 9n road as well
So glad you popped up. This is the best review I have seen of the Cherokee with excellent clear explanation of how rear lockers work. Great job. Want to see more on your sleeping setup. I’m all about keep it simple.
Glad you enjoyed it. My sleeping set up is just a blanket and foam pad and pillow. Very simple but for me as a short guy 5'6" I can stretch all the way out and not touch the seat or tailgate back there..lol
There have been a couple times already where I wish I knew how to use that rear-locker button. Will remember that next time I get stuck. Seriously.
@@boblozaintherealworld3577 I've only had to use the rear locker once. It was up a steep, rocky slope and it helped tremendously!
@@husker_nation And I feel so stupid. Up here at 6700' we had a huge snowfall this year. I'm just an LA kid. Will keep that in mind next year.
@@boblozaintherealworld3577 No need to feel that way. Just takes time to learn how to drive in snow 🙂
Best review ever. I'm buying one, and this helped me make up my mind. Thanks!
You will love it!
I love my 2020 TH. Screw them Broncos or whatever.
Purchased my 2019 in june 2021...love it to hell and back...never tested it much in the woods but looking at your vidéo is more info than I knew about this super SUV...thank you...you explain it the way I can fully understand the product. 😎
Such a great suv! Glad you are loving yours as well
Excellent video. I've been doing research and the Trailhawk is looking mighty fine.
Such a great vehicle!
I also am glad I found this. I have the exact same TH (except in black). Traded in my 2WD Grand Cherokee when we moved up to 6700' in So Cal so I could handle all sorts of conditions - from hilly dirt roads to heavy snow. I've heard complaints about its "dated" styling and such. Fine. Jeep will change it soon enough. Personally I think the Bronco Sport is a bit too trendy. Whatever. I agree with everything this guy is saying, and compared to other videos I've seen, he seems professional and very capable. Ride on, pard.
Thank you and congratulations on your trailhawk. You are gonna love it
Thanks for explaining so well.
Glad you enjoyed it.
I must agree with you. I leased my Trailhawk at the very end of 2019, with !$300.88 down and $300.88/month for 42. At the end of tbe lease, the buyout price was $19,300: making this to me the last of the amazing lease deals. Montana doesn’t have sales tax - so that helps too. This SUV is a Swiss Army Knife. I’ve driven it in -35 all the way to over 100•. Nothing stops this thing, truly a great vehicle.
Glad you are loving it. Such a great suv
What about the engine? I heard negative things about the V6
I bought my ‘21 Cherokee Trailhawk in Spitefire Orange brand new in ‘21 and it’s been great. It has had a couple issues with the rear differential and DTCM needing replaced. But it’s a phenomenal vehicle, rides great, I just haven’t taken it off-road yet. 42k miles and it’s been driven to and from Montana to Texas and to Illinois and back and done brilliantly.
Such a great vehicle. Glad you are enjoying yours as well.
I also have a 21 Cherokee Trailhawk but it took me a while to find one in Spitfire Orange! It’s a great standout color! Love it!
Awesome review..totally agree with the capabilities you mention...I own a lifted 2018 Cherokee trailhawk and this vehicle is basically a swiss army knife on wheels.
Thanks! Could not agree more. Love this vehicle. Ita perfect for off road, hunting and has excellent on road manors as well. You nailed it when you said Swiss army knife on wheels!
I bought my 2014 brand new and I haven’t had a single problem and still love her like I did on the first day. My husband wants a new vehicle and I only want another one. I have the white one too with the tow package.
Yep they are amazing and if everyone I know reliability has been excellent! I would buy another one in a heart beat!
I love it has the metal bar between the wheels!
I would love to see how you did that trailer hitch! I like the way it comes out the bumper rather than hang below the bumper like some do! Please so a video on it! Thanks!
That is jeeps factory hitch they put on the jeep trailhawk from the factory. But I installed it myself. Cost me 500 bucks total to buy the hitch and wiring harness from Mopar. The install took about 3 hours as you have to take off the whole back clip and quarter panels. But was very worth doing. I no longer own this vehicle and did not make a video when I did it. But there are videos on RUclips that show how to do it I think.
Just wanted to say great job with the video, I live in Australia and just purchased a jeep trailhawk and had no idea what I was getting, you have answered a lot of questions and answers .
glad you enjoyed it and congrats on your amazing trailhawk
Stock 2020 Cherokee TH here. I get around 26 at 75 mph on trips. Better if I slow down a bit. 2017 TH I had blew its trans at 35k. Don't forget about the Brake Lock Differential Brake (BLD) traction aid for the front wheels (back too).
Yep I loose a little mpg being lifted and bigger tires. Jeeps bld is awesome. Next best thing to a front locker
Love your video just seen it on here I bought my cherokee trailhawk for the exact same reasons as you.
I am also a traditional bowhunter I bought mine to use for whitetail hunting out of state where I didn't need to take my truck I put my tree stands in the roof rack and haul the cooler and deer on the hitch rack love how high it sits works perfect. Everything you said about it is spot on.
Glad you are loving it! Such a great do it all vehicle and like a mountain goat off road!
Just published a video on how I set mine up for hunting a couple weeks ago.
You can also flip down the front passenger seat all the way. Also , the back seats recline if you didn't know. You lift up on the latch that flips them down and you pull back and it locks the recline. There are two recline settings in the back.
I dont think the recline option was kept after 2019. But I could be wrong
@@SamkoTradBow I have a 2020 Trailhawk and my rear seats recline.
Huge for a tall guy like me or someone who wants to haul structural lumber potentially like 8 foot boards. Thanks for the pro tip.
I checked my '19 KL Trailhawk and the back seats do have two positions, albeit very little, but still enough. How do you fold down the front passenger seat? I couldn't figure that one out 😂
@@husker_nation Just pull the thing like your going to lean it back but push it forward instead.
And then you might have to slide it back on the sliders so that it has room to lean forward
Man i am so glad i found you. I am amazed at this truck now, i thought it was just another lifted compact car. It seems it is a true offroad capable small crossover. I dont say truck cause it is not same as old cherokee of the 90’s. This is same class as Suby Forester but sounds more capable. Thanks for the review.
Yep this trailhawk is one super capable suv. its pretty unstoppable.
Just sold my f150 and am in the market for a vehicle. So glad this video popped up
The cherokee trailhawk is an amazing vehicle. Loved this little beast!
I don't have the TH but my 2018 Latitude Plus is very comfortable to ride in. With the factory tow pkg I can tow 4500 lbs and have never had trouble. The KL has been the most reliable vehicle that I have ever owned. I may eventually move up to a Grand Cherokee TH for the extra room and tow capacity of 6000lbs.
Yep such a great vehicle. Sad to hear jeep cancelled it in 2023.
Great idea to put extra gear and tools in the spare tire compartment! I'm gonna do that today!
Lots of extra space there if you flip the spare tire
Nice review of the Cherokee. Padded moving blankets from Harbor Freight or other stores work great instead of blankets in the back. That is a good looking Jeep even though I don't really like white vehicles. The tires really look great, are they Falken wild peak AT3W? You could probably do a video on those tires!
Ok so I looked through your videos and you have already done a video on the Falken tires. Thanks.
Yep they are falken wildpeaks. Glad you enjoyed the videos
You know the front passenger seat folds flat too if you ever need more room. Love my Trailhawk! Nice detailed video, thanks 👍🏻
Great tip! thank you
Great video. I purchased a 2022 Jeep Trail Hawk and my wife wants to drive nothing else since the check was presented to the dealer. She drove it home.
I had a 2008 Jeep Wrangler 2 door Sport model I traded in on it. . I had the flat towing rig on it from Blue OX so I could pull it behind my RV as I travel. I loved the short wheel base.
It was time to trade the Wrangler so with some research I found I could also flat tow the Trailhawk model. That ability to be flat towed sold me and I also knew it was somewhat an off road vehicle.
I did not realize how capable it was off-road and yet still a family car. I just love it. It checks all the boxes on what we need.
I will never use my Cherokee off the road as much as you do but I do need the ability to travel on paths that a standard vehicle will not handle. It is a good pick and yes it does travel off-road better than my 2002 Ford 150 with 4 wheel drive.
Congrats on the new trailhawk! Such a great and capable vehicle!
@@SamkoTradBow Thanks I forgot to say that I also use it to pull my smaller bass boat instead of usimg my old 2002 Ford 150 truck. SO it does it all for me now.
So I can tow the Cherokee behind my rv or use it to tow my boat. I never pulled by boat with the old wrangler
@@Cuffsmaster I was towing a 3k pound pressure washing enclosed trailer with my trailhawk daily all that year. Worked excellent
You are a great speaker! Glad I found your channel.
Glad you enjoyed it
Need a new vehicle to tow a trailer for my business I’ve recently started. Your review really helped me solidify my decision. I think I’m going to go with the same color and do a 2 inch lift with 32’s. Thank you so much!
Awesome! You will love it. For the 32s I believe you have to do the pinch weld mod by cutting the pich weld extra material from behind the wheel well plastic. Mine is a 1.5 lift with 265x65x17 or 30.6. The 32s that fit with the pinch weld mod and 2 inch lift are the 265x70x17 or 31.6
@@SamkoTradBow out of curiosity, have you had any transmission issues? I know that’s a big deal with these vehicles. Only thing kind of scaring me off. Everything else I’m in love with.
Design design
I don’t think they had planned on having so many great features, components and capabilities. Like built by selecting the area/section and attaching them to a outline/core/structure. So many great things but wow some real “really now”s / misses / forgotten / wtf why nots.
Like a light under the hood? Even a manually operated light. Or have a 12v outlet so you could plug in something. Hopefully it won’t be much longer since it has been a while now, they had the brilliant idea to put one in the hatchback area. Another almost really great feature is the down light on the side view mirrors. Not sure yet if I like how much of the door is lit up. I know I like better it the bright white LED’s running the bottom length of each door.
Black hole 2 is the center storage/arm rest. Again just a switch operation light A nice try with the scooped out area for device charge/connect cords. Better method is having them come out the front with a sliding keeper so you don’t have to mess with it each time you open it.
Speaking of 12 v outlet in rear hatch. Yes there is one and you can change it from key on or always on. There is a second light in the hatch area. Unfortunately it is also placed very low to the deck which means BAD DESIGN that felt good to say. It means lights are easily blocked. A middle dome light sure would be nice. Or two of the almost worth it button lights for back seat. Yes it is nice to have separately controlled lights but while they are cute they are not able to produce enough light
2019 Cherokee TH E 49,700 miles fully loaded inside built for the car shows to promote the new blue color.
I have added over 40 switches plus 8 RF controlled switches several dozen LED’s couple dozen feet of EL Wire outside a 52 “ curved light bar dual forward facing pin spots with high low or strobe 22” bumper mounted light bar one flood-spot and one line spot each side twin focused flood lights rear facing. And 8 horns plus some interior features I invented auto adjusting between seat and center console gap sealer and seat covers with device pocket with wireless charging and cup holders / pockets just outside of where your knees would be.
Hope your account blows up I’m 21 my dad my pops and whole family loves to hunt sadly can’t anymore due to college but I’m buying my moms trail hawk at the end of this month I’m more of an enthusiast and like the rwd manuals but mom giving me a great price be dumb to pass up and this video made me feel a lot better may not be my style but definitley the most practical and being able to have some passengers in the back will definitley be of use !
You are gonna really like the capabilities of the trail hawk
Great review, thanks for sharing! You represent Michigan well sir🏕🌲💯👍🏽🇺🇸
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Best trail hawk review video which I found in RUclips after planning to get this one. You are easily explaining everything 👌👍
I would like to know what’s your tyre size on that vehicle while you doing the review. Hope you reply
Cant remebr the size of the tires but I do show it in this video.

Wow, that was a awesome review on the Jeep trail hawk. Thanks Jason.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
I own a Cherokee and like it a lot, but I would never say it has a lot of room or the bottom of the seats are very comfy. I am 6 ft tall and 230 lbs.
It is fun to drive and handles and rides great and is nice in most other aspects.
I'm 5'6" and for me it had plenty of room and I slept in the back with the seats down many nights while traveling. Loved it.
You keep it entertaining like Tim Taylor with the knowledge of Al Borland, and you from “Michiogan”. Was on the fence, gonna buy one after watching this.
Love the show , you should def get paid for this. Thanks for the knowledge, keep the education coming our way.
Glad you enjoyed the video. This trailhawk was nothing short of amazing. I loved it. So capable, roomy, and good gas milage. I loved it.
Well done, thanks for your time.
Glad you enjoyed it
So glad they improved those lights, I hated those weird skinny ones on the ones from a year or two back
Agree
Really excellent overview that made my buying decision easier, thanks 👍
You will be very happy with this vehicle. I loved it.
Alcuien sabe donde se encuentra la bateria auxiliar
A detailed presentation, I love it!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks. Learn so much about my trail hawk
I love love love this vehicle. You will too.
Not sure about long term reliability, but these are in a class by themselves as far as transverse engine suv..
Low range ..Noone else does that ..and rear locker ..its very capable have seen them out wheeling in Florida ..its a legitimate jeep .
Yep they sure are excellent. I honestly think long-term reliability is the same for every vehicle on the road. look at my tacoma. many believe its the most reliable truck made and yet consumers reports only have it a 2 out of 5 in reliability. some say jeeps are not reliable yet I know many with close to 200k miles on them with zero issues. they all average out the same in my opinion.
Great video, what made you switch from the Renegade?
Also, you should sell Jeep’s as another side hustle part time
The cherokee was bigger, has a real low range and rear lockers. More ground clearance, more room inside, and better approach angles. The bigger v6 motor gives more power for towing and I needed something that can tow my 3000 pound pressure washing trailer and my hunting trailer. Loved the renegade! But needed something that could do more. That renegade is the steal of the century though for a fantastic 4x4 vehicle that does everything really good (except towing). I bought my renegade new drove it for 17 months put 30000 miles on it and sold it for 2300 more than I paid new! Would by a renegade again in a heart beat if it fit what I needed.
Thank you for reminding me why I left the salt areas
I did too. Now live in ga fulltime
Just went through a strom and with my lowered car i was very limited as where i can go. Many road closures due to water accumulations. Amd in winter....some 2 to 3 feet of snow gets challenging. Really considering a 2021 trailhawk elite.
Just doing some research for possible mechanical/electrical issues. Let me know what to look out for. Great video.
@@george.giannop glad you enjoyed it. This vehicle is a little beast and does amazing
Nice rig I got a great deal on a a 17 blacked out Rubicon Recon JKU back in December 2017 fully loaded brand new just when the 18 JLs started showing up that I has hesitant getting being a new design to wait to work out the kinks got it for 45k taxes and 7yr 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty out the door 50k but the resale is better than Toyota but never had to push the lockers yet and zero issues mechanically with 53,000 on it now only issues is gas mileage and rough on BF KM2 mud terrain tires need new fronts replaced due to covid not being able to get them rotated those babys hum down the road.
Love the rubies! If I bought another wrangler it would be a Rubicon too. Sounds like a great deal too! We'll done!
My '19 just turned 3 yrs old. I travel highway once a month to see the folks 300 miles away, and off-road every few months- Death Valley, etc- does BOTH so well. Want to do a small lift- 2", 1/12"- What size tires were you able to get away w on yours w the 1 1/2" lift ?
Can't remember the tire size but I show the size in this video or also in my falken wildpeaks review from last year
don't know why i got that wrench in here, i gotta figure that out.
Loved your review dude, thanks.
Will buy this car ( used one with low miles but onroad and offroad capable, that is what i need)
You will love it. It's like a Billy goat of suvs! Amazing on and off road.
I fully intend to get one. I was hoping to convince my wife into getting one since we were downsizing both our vehicles into 1, but we ended up with a Mazda CX-5...the misses "needs" a vehicle that is "easier" to drive. But there is still hope. Since I am without a vehicle know, I will be driving my mom's Wrangler Sahara Unlimited as my daily to and from work. I am trying to convince her to trade up for something more practical on gas, and the Cherokee Trailhawk is still on my list as it will handle our Canadian snow without issues, lower gas usage (around 11-12L/100km on paper vs the 15L/100km on the Wrangler based on our real use), and it should be big enough to transport 5 (3 adults and 2 kids currently under 10) for the occasional outing.
Yep the cherokee trailhawk would be perfect. And if you get it will love it
I know, you have me looking at the Cherokee for all the reasons you gave.
Loved rhe cherokee trailhawk
Best review ever.I so more than 20 videos, and no one shows the complete back,to check see,how big was.You showed all, great job body. You the MAN.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video. This is an amazing vehicle!!!
Omg outstanding review, thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Very impressive breakdown. You almost convinced me to get a Trailhawk instead of a regular Cherokee, even though I never go off-road.
I wonder how far behind the regular one is in terms of trails capability.
Never drove the non yrailhawk cherokee. But if you don't go offroad no need to get the trailhawk. The ride quality and gas mileage is gonna be better on the non trailhawk
@@SamkoTradBow I do plan on an occasional dirt or forest road, and I might just get the taste for it (in a car. I am already an off-road motorcycle rider). Hence me wondering.
Just bought a 2016. My 2001 is still better in the bush but I made it that way. My only complaint on it is the plastic oil cooler housing that some geniuses thought would be a good idea to put in between the cylinders on the engine 😅 yay after market parts
Glad you are loving both gens of the cherokee.
Oh Boy, you got a awesome property right there 👏
Thank you.
Picking up a 2022 this Saturday.
You will love it.
How big is the trunk. Can you sleep in in?
Two people?
I'm 5'6 and slept in the back many times on long trips. Bet you could all the way up to about 5'10 fully stretched out
its a good car. Last year a took a Jeep Cherokee limited off road and omg. Even though is was not the trailhawk version dont understimated it.
Yep crazy capabilities
I think Sand/Mud mode with rear locked lets all 4 wheels spin. Maybe the electronics don't make it actual 4 wheel lock like quadratrac but it's pretty close if it's not.
Mud and sand mode let's the wheels break free the easiest as that is what you want in mud and sand. Wheel spin is controlled by the abs system and algorithms.
Thank you for sharing question when you up sized your tires did it cause any problems with speedometer or any other equipment. I’m looking at the 2021 Thanks
No problems with any equipment but you speedo will be off by about 3% or off by 2mph at 75mph
Excellent review, bought 2018 Trailhawk of my own. But let's be honest, 21mpg is crappy mileage on any scale. My last car was a 2013 Chevy Cruze, 1.4L turbo (stick). Best car I've ever owned. That thing was rated 42mg highway, 35 average on trips. I seriously miss that 500 mile range.
everything is a trade off. I loved the naturally aspirated engine in the trailhawk. The mileage is the trade off. You would not be able to run 4x4 and the capabilities of this trail hawk with a 1.4 turbo.
I have the 2020 4 cylinder Cherokee, I get 24mpg in the city and it may not sound like a whole lot but I went from a 16mpg 2014 Navigator L
@@SamkoTradBow I've driven my 2017 Cherokee from Washington state to Utah and back and got an average of 26 mpg. One other thing...the front wheels have what's called "brake lock differential" (I think) where the car applies the brake to the wheel that spins to force power to the other wheel. Love mine and it is also my first choice when heading into the mountains. I like that it is so short that I can easily turn around if the trail starts to get too "whatever".
I owned a 2021 Cherokee TrailHawk for about 6 months. It was the coolest, nicest, most capable vehicle I’ve ever owned. Right up until the ZF 9 speed transmission broke. Why Jeep puts such a trashy piece of junk transmission in such a bad ass vehicle is puzzling. DO NOT BUY A KL CHEROKEE. The ZF 9 speed transmission is not only junk it also DANGEROUS. Just search RUclips for stories about law suits regarding the KL’s horrible transmission.
Mine was flawless for 60k miles and I know 8 people personally with them that have over 100k miles and zero issues. Sorry you got a bad one. Hopefully jeep takes care of it for you
Such an amazing video, great job! I followed you halfway through watching!

The tires are falken wildpeak at. and the size should be shown in the video if not I show it in my falken tires review video. I sold this trailhawk so I cant go look at the tires. need to sell it so I could get a truck for work.
How's the reliability been?
Awesome video. Might be buying a 2019 Cherokee trailhawk with 30k on it this week
You will love it!
Awesome video. I have 2016 Trailhawk and want to lift it. I keep seeing everyone from the Rough Country 2” to MFC to hazard sky…what lift do you have? Is it a lift & level with the back still higher, keeping the factory rake, or does the front lift up level with the rear now. I don’t want the front sag at all. Did you by chance take measurements of before/after of the wheel well clearance? Also saw you are running 265/70R17…any issues with rubbing? Did you have to do the pinch weld mod, any grinding or cutting? Lastly, how is your fuel economy now?
Sorry for all the questions but most people only ask 1 or 2, I’m sure others are watching wanting to know:
What lift & how tall
What tires
Any cutting/trimming or rubbing issues
What MPG now
Any reason you wouldn’t do it again…THANKS!!
Hazard sky 1.5 front and 1.5 rear.
Falken wild peak 265/70/17
No trimming or rubbing but very close when articulated, but no rubbing. Don't know what mpg was before as I did the lift and tires right after I bought it. But I get 21-22 on highway currently.
Very happy and would do it exactly the same if I was doing it again. I did do before and after measuring when I installed it. It was 1.75 added in the front and 1.5 added in the rear. Did not measure wheel clearance. With these tires is tight! Still no rubbing or trimming. But it's very tight in there with thw wheels turned a quarter way
@@SamkoTradBow awesome thank you!! I don’t need the lift but I’ve always had lifted Jeep’s, and now the Trailhawk feels tiny! I’ll be looking into matching your setup, thank you again!

I put a lot of miles on cars (50K a year) how do you feel about this vehicle when puttin a lot miles on it? THANK YOU for taking the time to make this video
I drive 40k miles a year as well. I love this trailhawk. It's been flawless and excellent reliability. Just sold it with 56k miles on it and zero issues. It was the best suv I've owned
I’m looking at 2022 jeep Cherokee trailhawk or Rav4 xse or trd model 2022 I don’t know what one to choose I love the gas savings for the Toyota rav4 but I’m afraid it can’t go off road nothing crazy. Also wanted to do some car camping, and tent camping. After you lifted your jeep, did you notice a decrease of gas.
all great vehicles! I did not drive the trailhawk stock more than the ride home from the dealership. so I dont know what stock mpg was. but it was still amazing with the lift and bigger tires. 25-27 mpg on highway.
The only issue are the headlights.... I have a 2014 and the lights are weak.
Never minded the ones on my 2020. But they were relocated my manufacturer in 2018 I think
Did the smoothness of the ride change much after you put on the 1.5 inch lift?
Not at all. Love the way it rides and still gets amazing gas mileage
A manual transmission would make the trail hawk perfect!
I have owned a few wranglers auto and manual. The manuals sure are fun. But they such for backing up to trailers, water crossings, mud, etc. But sure are fun. Oh and suck in traffic jams...lol
I just got a used Trailhawk and was wondering where you got your lift kit and which falken tire size did you use on yours. Thanks for all of your great content. Good luck with your move to Georgia!
You will love it. The lift kit is by hazard sky 1.5 inch lift. And the tire size is show in this video or in my falken tire review video. I don't own it anymore and can't remeber tire size off top of my head
@@SamkoTradBow Wow, surprising it's gone since you spoke so highly of it. What did you replace it with?
@@SeventyGTX a tacoma because I needed a truck for my new business plans
Is that trailer hitch homemade?
It's the factory Mopar hitch. I bought it from Mopar and installed it myself.
What motor does yours have I’m looking at one with the 3.2 v6 and I’m curious how crappy the fuel economy is going to be
That's what I had and can't remeber the mpg before the lift and tires. But I was getting 27-28 on highway after lift and tires. And was getting 15mpg pulling a 3k point enclosed trailer, better than my tacoma or gladiator does pulling the same trailer 😂
Oh wow that’s not bad at all I was expecting upper teens, did you get rid of the jeep and if so why. I’m on the fence about out picking one up
@agordon7369 I sold it. Loved it. But I'm a 40k mile a year driver so I only keep a vehicle for 2 years them sell it and buy something else.
Very good review video 🙌
Glad you enjoyed it.
I would love to know your thoughts on the issue of reliability of this jeep I know no vehicle is perfect
Know a few people with them with over 100k miles and never a problem. I sold mine with 50k miles and it was flawless. I'd buy another one in a heart beat
I have an overland it's so nice
Those are beautiful! You are algonma love it
I chest bought a 2020 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk and I like it way better than any Ford even the new bronco sport
loved mine too
I know this is very late but I just got a 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk two days ago. Have you ever experienced an issue with turning while accelerating from a stop, it almost feels like something is rubbing or the 4wd system kicks in but then it goes right away. Have you ever felt this?
I have not. Wad anything done to it before hand. Could bigger tires be rubbing etc
Good sales man!! I want one now ... I got a 2014 latitude ready to trade in ! 😊
You will love the trailhawk! Honestly one of my all time favorite vehicle I have ever owned
@@SamkoTradBow how is the transmission on that? My 14 is not the smoothes on stop and go traffic
What 1.5 brand lift do you have? And what tire size are you running in this video? I LOVE your setup and want the same for mine.
Hazard sky lift. Can't remeber thr tire size but I show them close up in my falken tire review if you search that on my channel. Sold the vehicle so can't go out and look. But such an amazing rig
@@SamkoTradBow Thanks I found it on one of your other videos. 265/65r17. Why did you sell it if you loved it so much?
@@melvinjensen978 im a 40k mile a year driver. so I only keep a vehicle for a year and half to 2 years then sell it and buy a new one. seems to be my sweet spot for not loosing much money.
@@SamkoTradBow I put a lot of miles as well, about 30k a year for me, but I am not that financially that well off to be able to get a new car every few years. I keep my cars forever. I plan on lifting my Cherokee as your videos inspired me. Thank you for sharing.
@melvinjensen978 from what I've been seeing the cherokee can run for alot of miles trouble free. Should be an excellent suv and run for a very longtime for you even as a high mile driver! Congratulations again on such a fantastic rig.
We love my wife's 2019 TH. We had sn XJ for 304,000 miles before giving it to our son. The TH is a worthy successor.
Can't wait to run the Manistee National Forest in the TH.
Glad you love yours too. It will eat up every obstacle you throw at it!
Huge like! Thank you 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it
Good video. If you got the 3.2 V-6 in there, keep and eye on your oil filter housing. Ours grenaded at about 70,000 miles and we lost 5 qts of oil going down the road before the engine light came on. It's made of plastic!
Yep lots of manufacturs use plastic oil filter hosuings now. even my tacoma has one! crazy the way manufactures will cut corners.
Awesome review, I’m seriously considering purchasing a 2017 out here in Az 🌵🏜️
Jeep owes you royalties for every trailhawk sold 👍🏼
I straight up loved this vehicle! Sold it a year and half ago when I needed a truck fro work. But sure do miss it.
What brand is your lift. I've found a few 2" kits but like to have 1.5" instead of the 2"
Hazard sky 1.5 inch
Awesome review
Glad you enjoyed it
I just bought the exact same suv. Did the dealership do the lift or did a 3rd party do it for you? And what size tire did you go with? I wanna do the same.
I did the lift myself. Was very easy. Then go get tire alignment and all good to go. The tire size is shown in this video or in my falken tire review. I sold this last year so can't go look at tire size.
Have you ever used a Gran Cherokee for off road?
I have not. Out of my budget
From a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk to a Cherokee Trailhawk.........Damn, I'm a happy lad....
I've had both and both are amazing! I liked the cherokee best but for the money the renegade was amazing!
I'd be interested in your opinion of the engine
I loved it. Put 55k miles on it before I sold it. 100% trouble free and perfect
Great video! But where are you getting a one and a half inch lift for $150? Are you sure you’re not referring to a leveling kit on the front end only?
It was a full lift from hazard sky lift kits
@@SamkoTradBow installed for 150 bucks? I am being quoted close to a thousand. Would love to have a lift like yours looks great. Stock rims with bigger tires, what size did you use? Look great.
I was always under the impression that a lift kit would avoid the warranty. Is the one and a half inch lift avoiding that instead of going with like a 3 inch lift?
And did you have to put the one and a half inch lift on the back for the taller tires or could you have gotten away with just doing the front to get rid of the factory rake?
@newittsrock I installed the loft myself it was super easy and then took it up to get a front alignment for 100 bucks. Can't remeber the tire size but it should be in this video. If not search falken on my channel and a falken review will pop up that shows the size of these. I don't own the car anymore so I can't remember the size.
How's the reliability on the turbo 4 engine. ?
Don't know, never had one. But this v6 has a great reputation
