People can clown on Nick Wright all they want for his homerism, but until a team has shown they can be a consistent threat to the Chiefs (Bengals looked like that at first but then lost to an injured Mahomes with a depleted receiver corps), his opinions are 1000% justified. That is simply a fact.

I'm Canadian from mtl and I see montrealers glaze the habs when they win as well and talk down to others teams who are actually in the playoffs the funny part is that mtl isn't even a contender. Texans barely beat the colts on the last game of the season in a win or go home game, then the Texans get blown out vs the ravens in a game that was never close. Ravens then play KC and barely score anything & lose a close one. KC played the Bills the week before, Buffalo while being completely injured on defense scores the most on them of any team and barely loses. THOSE are the elite teams. They make up for injuries & fight hard. The Texans aren’t close yet, not now & not last year. No elite team gets rolled over like that.

Man I remember when the Chiefs had a playoff game where they never punted and lost. Or when they put up 41 points without their best player, and still lost. Or lost another playoff game when the opposing QB threw a pass TO HIMSELF and caught it for the win. Gone are the days where the Chiefs score nothing but TDs but lose to a team who only scored FIELD GOALS. Gotta love sitting through TV blackouts, 2-14, 4-12 seasons. Have you ever watched a drive where the opposing team starts on their own 20, gain less than 20 yards of *total* offense and still score a touchdown on your favorite team?
IDC what anyone has to say or think about the Chiefs, and I could not give a single rip who is offended by it or is mad that their team got sent home. I love the fact that the Chiefs are the talk of the town and are no longer the laughing stock of the NFL. I have a small feeling of pride when I hear Nick talk about the Chiefs, and reading people's comments. I love it all. Every time I see someone crying about Nick's well-deserved homerism I think an entire year is added to my life, at least it *feels* that way.
Being a Chiefs fan has been so weird, because as a kid, teen, and young adult, I was clowned for supporting the hometown team. Now, I'm accused of bandwagoning and it couldn't be more refreshing. I wish I still had my Priest Holmes jersey, but I rock my Jamaal Charles from time to time. The next one I want is definitely a Patrick Mahomes jersey, but I want the one where he still went by Mahomes II. It's extremely rare now.

@@advancedstupidity5459 This is such a dumb argument, the patriots never had a “consistent foil”, neither did the Niners dynasty, cowboys dynasty or Steelers dynasty, that doesn’t mean they are going to win every superbowl every year until they retire.
Great teams trick you into thinking sports is pre destined and good players will just “find a way to win” no matter what, that’s not how reality works though. There have been plenty of dynasties and/or great players who just get outplayed or catch a bad break. Adrian Peterson rushed for over 1,000 yards when he was 33 and had the longest run of his career that season. There are other greats to gain over 1,000 yards in their thirties including Frank Gore, Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton and Curtis martin. Raheem Mostert did it last season.

So what we are saying here is if Mahomes beats you 1 time then your team has no chance against him? Bengals won the first 3 burrow out played him in Al 3 of those games. At that point they were considered a rival and a threat by Nick. Mahomes beats them 1 time with Chris jones destroying 3 backup lineman the entire game and now the bengals just have no shot. Also for context because chiefs fans act as if Mahomes was throwing to water jugs. They still had Kelce and Mvs literally their top 2 targets. Mahomes ankle was so “injured” that he was able to take off and outrun nfl players on it. Chiefs were down their best corner the bengals were down their best corner. Boyd left the game in the first quarter and didn’t return. Stop pretending like the chiefs played a fully healthy bengals and the chiefs were just decimated by injury, yet still won: the bengals were actually the more injured team and it came down to a last second field goal. If they play again it will come down to the wire again.
