I would love to quit using Apple stock apps on both iOS, iPadOS, and macOS for my daily workflow, but I’m low vision and rely on voiceover heavily and when it comes to accessibility the Apple suite of apps, just nails, it perfectly every time I’ve never been very successful in third-party voiceover apps Except Google but great video. I’ll give these a try.
As much as I love your channel you should add “subscription based” on your title!! • Fantastical? Cost a fortune! • Callsheet? Really 10€/year for something that IMDB offers free? • Screens 5? 80€/year?! That’s a ripoff!! Really really hate all these subscription based apps!! And not even once mentioned in the video the subscriptions!!
Man, your videos are THE perfect model in every way that I wish every tutorial creator would follow. And, I don't know if anyone has thanked you for this, but THANK YOU for not trashing up your videos with loud, annoying and unnecessary EDM (actually your videos are a perfect demonstration showing that music is not really necessary at all for a great tutorial).
Really appreciate you saying so. Sometimes I wonder whether I need to "up the ante" on some videos, with music or other stuff, but comment like yours show that good explanations and tutorials can stand on their own!
I guess you gotta be an engineer. So many apps that are involved in tracking and doing stuff in the background. Once you are committed you could be a slave. I only use the built-in health app to remind me to take my medicine.
I'm with you on much of it. I used to use and love Bear as well but switched to Drafts which I much prefer. Being able to capture notes with the action button on my Ultra is a game changer.
Stephen, for real, you are too 3 for me all time!!! Your content is AMAZING, you are so quick but informative (that is a GREAT thing & I don’t even have to run your stuff at 1.5 speed!) plus YOU OOZE a genuine trustworthiness & care that, quite honestly, is so rare these days it’s pretty much not even present. You aren’t churning out videos *just* for quotas or whatever. I am very interested in your shortcut stuff. I’ve done some of them, but the more involved ones, I’ve gotten 75-80% done on some with my ip15pm & there’s usually something off. I can do most, but it will hopefully come to me with time. I don’t generally give up 😊 I hope you & your family have a WONDERFUL holiday season & thank you so much for what you do!

@@beardfm it most certainly is and you don't even have a delivery style or voice that makes my ears & eyes bleed!! (I kid, sort of). It is truly unfortunate how so many, in MANY different mediums, have no clue how to deliver simple messaging. I know things & could do product discussions on several topics (not related to this field) but I have a quite strong accent & no content would be taken away, they'd be too busy making fun of my accent. I MAKE FUN OF OUR ACCENT!! The difference is, I don't deduct IQ points for it. I sound a lot like Travis Taylor...ummm...in accent only...he is the smartest man in EVERY room he walks into, period...our accents are where our similarities end!! L O L
If I may ask a question - I created a menu (triggers when the action button runs a shortcut) where I can easily access all sorts of functions and apps, toggling or opening them with ease. I’d be happy to keep using that menu for everything no matter what focus I’m in. However, I’d ultimately like to make it so I have that menu but customized for each focus. Do you think it would be best to accomplish this by having the focuses And their respective menus in one shortcut or have a separate shortcut file (with unique menu options) for each focus and use things like “get current focus” and “set focus” to switch between them?
@@beardfm also, I have a scripting issue with a an shortcut where the it got about 75% of the way through and then stopped. An icon is now at the top of my screen indicating that it’s running but stuck. How do I stop or clear it? Do I have to restart my phone? Nothing I’ve tried has worked (renaming the shortcut, deleting it, adding “end shortcut” as an option and then clicking it. It won’t resolve itself.
Unless I was too excited in getting the apps and trying them most seem to be paid subscription apps. 9$ a year for the call sheet app. I was excited to use it till I got to poking around the settings and saw the subscription tab and already wasted 1 of my free searches. The calendar app is a pay to use also. I’m not sure if you mentioned that or not in the video.
