- Ocean City New Jersey has a very unique boardwalk. Yes, this beach town is known as a family friendly vacation destination but when it comes to it's boardwalk, it actually has THREE unique and independent fun piers to enjoy.
Playland's Castaway Cove is on the south side of the boardwalk and feature GaleForce roller coaster and in the middle of the boardwalk you will find the Ocean City Waterpark but this video gives you a full walkthrough of a family friendly pier, Gillian's Wonderland Pier.

We have always had a great time at this pier. Yes it is true that the offerings are less than before but it is still a great time, esp if you like arcades and have small kids.

10:00 I used to come to Ocean City all the time when I was younger and I used to sit and watch the people go down on the log flume. It’s one of my favorite rides in ocean city

You surprise me, sir, not recognizing a Wipeout ride when you've seen them in other parks; you *certainly* saw one at Waldameer. (This one's a different color but it's still the same ride.)
It's been a long time since I've been to OC, so I don't know how long the uppper deck area (containing the Frisbee) has been roped off; pity, really.

This park has honestly gone downhill. They used to have a good amount of rides, such as an L&T Mine Train coaster, an ARM Super Shot (and before that, a rare Chance Slingshot for a drop tower), and they used to have full-size bumper cars on the lower deck. They also just got rid of their Ring of Fire that only lasted one quarter season and one full season.
I remember the mine train and it was a pretty fun ride. It is turning into more of a kids park but the log flume and dark ride still give it sometime to buy a few tickets for.

Can you do a great escape fright fest walk through In October
I will see if our travel can make that happen (Great Escape is an 7 hour trip one way) but we might be able to tie it into a Six Flags New England or Lake Compounce trip.

Thanks for watching. That day was a Tuesday, so they might have been a staffing issue the day we went. I will be going back in 2024, so hopefully, everything will be open then

I could see Playland buying ir, their pier is very crammed and it would give them the Morey's park win
It's not gonna be. There's no plans to sell the park.

A lot of the classic rides are disappearing cause they can't get the parts for them anymore.

Half the park is blocked off and closed. 😂
Not sure if they were consolidating cause we were there during the week or if that was a "normal" thing now. It is still a good place for kids but most of the adult rides are gone. The Dark Ride and Log Flume are still worth a walk through.
