What a buzz it was to see our beautiful Tavangumi on drive this morning and yes he is healing nicely. It was such a deep and horrible wound. I am truly amazed and so thankful they found him in time. Utmost respect to the vets and all concerned. The resilience of these beautiful animals is incredible. Thank you Mrs Zero.

I knew leopards could heal with food but this was still so amazing to see. 😊

Thank you so very much for posting this. It's great that we can hear than he was loved by us and Cedric just prior to his struggles and death. Only blame to the snare trappers. My best to all involved to try to help, but he had taken it hard and was struggling, supposedly cared for with his collar. Humans eh ! Got a chance without them. Halve it with them in a protected reserve. Enjoy leopard afterlife Tavungumi and be happy. You'll be missed here 😞

    O MY WORD
I noticed how he was walking around in circles looking for something in the grasses. Then to the vehicle twice and smelling it. I think he thought Cedric was bringing birthday cake to share with him. He now knows that people have been leaving food for him. He has most likely watched people bringing food and leaving it. Hope he gets over that part of his misadventures soon. Makes me nervous when he got close to vehicle now.

Ah, good observation. He was checking to see if Cedric had a meal for him.

I have just seen this video knowing they had shot him. 😢😡
I think the park reserves are to blame too, because they could have fed him enough to survive.
So his abnormal behaviour wouldn't have happened.

    he is dead now

Sadly, yes! Steve Faulconbridge related the sad news on this afternoon's Wild Earth sunset safari that the park authorities had to euthanise him because he had taken a dog and was posing a threat to human life. Several attempts were made to drive him away, but in vain and unfortunately, as per the park safety protocols, they had to put him to sleep. This footage is very poignant because it is the last time Tavangumi has been put on camera. Such a shame, because he was developing into a beautiful territorial male leopard.😢

They could have fed him enough, so that abnormal behaviour would be avoided. 😢😠
