By telling you to grow up, he is essentially telling you to accept an unethical business practice because people make money off of it. So he might as well be defending scalpers and people selling repro copies of retro games as original releases because they are also making a lot of money from making things worse for gamers. Something to also consider is when a reseller gets some sweet deal from someone quickly selling games for a lot less than they can be sold for, there is usually some kind of sad story behind that, especially in a situation where someone is so hard up for money that they contact a reseller at night. Maybe someone had a unexpected medical expense and now is struggling to pay rent or maybe someone is desperate for money ASAP because they have fallen into a drug or gambling addiction or maybe they are poor and borrowed money from a sleazy payday lender that they need to pay off quickly to avoid being extorted by a high interest rate on a small loan. Getting a really cheap deal on someone's collection doesn't come out of nowhere and when someone gains considerably in a transaction like that, it means the other person is losing considerably. When you think of it in that context, is it ethical to take advantage of someone's misfortune like that? If someone really needs money, is it okay to pay them less than the items they are selling are actually worth? Putting the situation into context, a game reseller taking advantage of financially desperate people is very similar to other sleazy business practices that exploit people in poverty.
I'm glad you brought that up. I always get bummed out when I see a collection sold without the owner there. When something really nice gets sold off cheap, I always feel like someone is taking advantage, and you always see walkers and medical equipment and stuff at the sale too. I feel like it's one thing to search for games at a deal, and then try to sell them at market price. At least even if you did spend less, you still are selling at a rate that is comparable to other listings of that same item. But when you go out and purposefully look for deals so that you can mark them up above the market to drive up your profit margins, that's definitely pretty shady and hurts the market. @@jeffallen1759 that’s a wild one but honestly a little smart but I don’t approve of that practice, those ass hats
@@Fallen_Blade I don't either, I mean most of these employees are making min.wage & that scumbag took advantage of it & ended costing them their job. I've heard of ppl breaking into goodwill donation bins, ripping kids off, stealing. There's real greedy dirtbags screwing up the hobby
@@jeffallen1759my thrift just has picker teams lining up an literally an hour early so they can walk in and throw everything in a cart that looks decent, then go check it in the corner like a junkie lol. I got lucky there once, but every time I've been back it's been nothing bc their kindness is taken advantage of. I like games, I collect games, I go for games. All the people who will line up will sell literally anything if it's underpriced, and they always pick up a crapload of stuff. It's like they've made a middle man online thrift store that isn't wanted or needed, but that people begrudgingly use because almost every single thrift store, pawn shop, goodwill and flea market has been ruined by resellers. It sucks, bc some people like the local ministry are actual pricing stuff low, but these people are making a literal living off of abusing that kindness and stealing it from the community. That's just the one I liked that I heard still had good thrift store prices sometimes, it won't be long until they just start selling online too I'd imagine.
😂😂 Been awhile Brother, and I see you still pointing out these jerks. You ended up beating this guy in a debate you say? Feelin grown yet? Lol Excellent video Steve.
Welcome back! Lol
@@steviefreakinc Lol Thanks Brother, it's good to be back. Keep pointing out these clowns man, I can't stand them either smh.

@@steviefreakinc You're welcome!

I'd drop so much cash on Pokemon Adam~
"Gotta catch...men all~" (I'm single, plz end me)
Grow up Steve
Lol thanks
Reselling is reselling doesn't change if you are a collector or do it for a living. Or A big box office store I find you making a video about something like this just nonsense why even care who does what to make money. It's literally how the world works people have to make a profit to pay bills and really complaining about wiis 7 years ago yeah anything older is harder to find it's saying in the 90s earthbound was 80 wow
You must like buying stuff for more money than needed then.
20 Wii's 🤣
I know right? #wiiarmy
Do I sense a bit of jealousy? You need to relax man. And ya that is pretty fucking nice of him to give some shoes away..
For more than retail lol
Heckin Steve is actually becoming obessed with resellers and honestly hes not even giving a legit reason why I had to unsubscribe because this is getting just sad to see hes legit berating a guy because of his lights in this video his lights like what are you doing man why is he becoming so toxic like this 🤦
@@Assassin-ys5vw If you unsubscribed then why are you here?
Why would he be jealous? He’s just calling out the obvious. The snowflakes can’t handle the truth nowadays and that’s why this generation has become so soft and weak and have turned to reselling because they’re a bunch of cowards who are afraid to blend in with society and get a real job.
@@3frame381 unsubscribed after saying my peace and unsubbed doesnt mean I cant comment
Seriously though grow up.
Let me get back to you in a bit man I’m actually at work right now.
Ok.
