I have to agree, this show is so good. I mean, there is not much story yet, but it is just fun to watch all the fights since they are so well animated. No huge filler in between, just good old action.

Hmmm, I find it slightly unfortunate how they handled Baek in this scene. Originally, he wasn't as smug about his abilities. He was simply the calm and calculating type that slowly broke down opponents, with a backstory to match his theory on combat and intelligence. Not only that, after losing his baseball bat to Daewi's Fist of the Black Turtle, he attempted to counter his Dance of the White Tiger using the strongest attack he knew: Jin Mori's triple strike. He's obviously not as skilled as Mori but was able to perfectly replicate the technique, still losing to the onslaught of Daewi's combo and sheer power. Don't get me wrong, this fight is animated beautifully, but it felt like Baek was underplayed fairly heavily.
i mean for the backstory, he’s a side character and in an anime with 13 episodes with a lot to adapt, i don’t think they had enough time to do that. maybe they wanted the audience to like daewi more, i honestly don’t know

Btw the glowing things around Daewi when he does his special moves aren't real and just special effects. His attacks are so powerful because he manipulates the wind pressure around him
Han is honestly one of my favourite characters in the whole series. I have read the series upto the end of the tournament, and as someone who went through cancer like his friend is, I would be proud to have a friend who would risk life and limb to help me get through it

Difference from the manwha: The four stances all had longer names to them that explained how what the attack was. Fist of the Black Tortoise, Kick of the Pheonix, Dance of the White Tiger, and Wave of the Blue Dragon.
The reason it’s different in the anime is because those are the true names of the forms. I just read the Chinese origin of the Jade emperor and those were the true names.

An amazingly adapted scene! Though part of me does prefer the more calm and reserved(sorta bored-looking) Baek from the webtoon rather than the surprisingly energetic fighter he seems to me in the anime. Him laughing and his voice tone from the shock of being overwhelmed by the end made him seem a bit more quirky. Great voicing acting to show emotion at least. I just loved seeing him be cocky and cynical first in the webcomic before slowly realizing that his theory was wrong and that there was more to life than he initially thought. And finally then he'd start getting pumped with newfound determination against Daewi before losing. It's good quick character development, but his unique personality as a reserved genius was what really appealed to me. I just hope part of that from him sticks the more we see of him in the future. Keep up the amazing scenes, Studio MAPPA!
They didn’t show or mention either of their levels. It would be nice to know why some people get 1 shot by that bat but others can get hit dozens of times and walk away okay.

I won't lie the animation on this was hella satisfying! And I also love how they brought Baek Seungchul's personality to life (loved him in the webtoon) but I'm kinda disappointed about not seeing him mimic Mori's triple kick as he did in the webtoon against Daewi... that was such a hype/goosebump-inducing moment! But great episode nonetheless...
Calculated fighters like him are my favorite. Instinct and OP ones are cool, but nothing is more satisfying then seeing a well thought out plan come to life in the middle of a fight
I am in absolute awe from this fight! it was so interesting, and I loved the physics that went into it. Then again, all I was watching were his glasses and waiting for them to fall. Truly magnificent.
Can people stop complaining about the changes and just lay back and enjoy the anime? It's not like having the names of moves changed slightly and some backstories pushed to later points is gonna make the series trash. The creator is supporting these changes, afterall.

First of all, the studio were forced to only do 13 episodes, and they had to miss out on alot of things or else the series would be alot more boring, hence making alot of anime watchers dip instead of staying. They knew they had to leave out alot of backstories and only leave in some clues so the watchers have to piece it together themselves, dont blame the studio for this, they did amazing 2. You saying the creator doesnt care is extremely arrogant in my opinion and there is full proof that the creator does care. The fact that he put thousands and thousands, maybe ten thousands, 9 years worth of work, blood and sweat into a series he did out of pure passion. No creator of a long running series like that "doesnt care" because as a former comic creator myself it is very tiring and I would only ever put myself to doing hundreds of chapters if I had god tier levels of love and passion for my series. He even skipped out on his wife's wedding honeymoon and even had to take some time away from being with his new son just to do chapters. The notes say it all.
tbh only way to perfectly judge whether this show is doing good or not is to see through the eyes of someone who hasn't read the webtoon. Unfortunately we can't see it that way so the best we can do is just pretend to forget or listen to what other people who hasn't read it say.
Love shot On December13 something happened in his personal life and he got mad because of that and let that rage out on mira. I think if they fought while he wasnt mad it would have ended differently
Just seeing this finally become an anime is a dream come true. I’ve been reading the manhwa since the start of the 2nd arc and have hoped for it be animated ever since ❤️
Baek’s original “last stand”, if you will, is that he stood up after a brutal beatdown by Daewi. Daewi’s already gassed out and was shocked to see him still standing and ready to fight, and Baek claims that he is not willing to lose, but then he faints and collapses to the ground. Baek actually has his own detailed backstory that is worth putting in. I wish they used this source instead of making Baek a genius but overconfident fighter stereotype.
The problem is that there's way too much to fit into too few episodes. They had to cut or change a lot of things which is kinda disappointing. they should have just made it have more episodes to give room to all the story
The fact that he didn’t attack him when he tripped, yet was so desperate to save his friend that he resorted to underhanded tricks against mori is pretty sad
Not ungrateful, but some people just want a direct adaptation. This fight was really good, but it left a lot of the best parts out. Its only natural that stuff gets cut, because they're trying to cram 112 chapters into 13 episodes, but I can still understand why some people are a bit disappointing.

tbh only way to perfectly judge whether this show is doing good or not is to see through the eyes of someone who hasn't read the webtoon. Unfortunately we can't see it that way so the best we can do is just pretend to forget or listen to what other people who hasn't read it say.

Baek’s original “last stand”, if you will, is that he stood up after a brutal beatdown by Daewi. Daewi’s already gassed out and was shocked to see him still standing and ready to fight, and Baek claims that he is not willing to lose, but then he faints and collapses to the ground.
Baek actually has his own detailed backstory that is worth putting in. I wish they used this source instead of making Baek a genius but overconfident fighter stereotype.
The problem is that there's way too much to fit into too few episodes. They had to cut or change a lot of things which is kinda disappointing. they should have just made it have more episodes to give room to all the story

Not ungrateful, but some people just want a direct adaptation. This fight was really good, but it left a lot of the best parts out. Its only natural that stuff gets cut, because they're trying to cram 112 chapters into 13 episodes, but I can still understand why some people are a bit disappointing.
