  • Hello my friends! Today I’d like to share with you my hashimotos thyroiditis disease. This is an autoimmune condition which your body’s immune system attacks the thyroid. I had many false negative tests. I didn’t get a positive antibodies test, and didn’t get diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I had a long road to get diagnosed with this. I was told it was fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue but nothing else was wrong. Come to find out finally that I was misdiagnosed and I actually had hashimotos. I have dealt with severe muscle aches and fatigue and finally have some answers!
    I am a stay at home mama to a sweet baby girl, and wife to an amazing husband. I also have several chronic illnesses (see below). I am passionate about sharing my story to help those suffering like I do. I have a degree in health education and I am certified in nutrition, chronic disease, and health promotion.

    I have been diagnosed with Hoshimotos several years ago. I found that I have to eat a very healthy, balanced diet. I only eat one desert with my dinner. No other sugar. I found that exercise is crucial, however, I only exercise 30 minutes a day. If I go without exercise for over 2 days, my Hoshimotos gets very bad. I found that my sleep pattern is also very important. I will be working on my sleep pattern this year. When I changed my diet and exercise, I lost 20 pounds and was able to keep it off. However, if I go off my very balanced diet I go downhill very quickly. High stress also impacts my symptoms as well. Hope this helps you. Take care and God bless you.

    Thank you for sharing! I was just diagnosed in March after 2 years of suffering and told my symptoms were due to my “server “ asthma and pumping me full of steroids until I finally moved to another state and was retested for everything and finally got diagnosed with Hashimotos. I still have asthma but I have normal asthma and lots of information from my Hashimottos although my thyroid levels are considered normal but man the symptoms are killer! Hoping 2020 will be a healing year for me. ♥️

    Hi, I have Hashimoto's and I have PCOS. I almost miscarried my first baby at age 35. The doctor said I had low progesterone from the dying egg sack. The progesterone is to help support the pregnancy until the placenta takes over producing the same progesterone hormone. If you get pregnant again, get a progesterone hormone shot and take it really easy. Don't lift anything.

      How do you treat it??

    • @livingwithhope235
      @livingwithhope235 4 года назад +1

      Aimee Esther anytime :) they just treat me by replacing the thyroid hormone. They test my blood every 6 -8 weeks to adjust my dose. Right now I’m actually in hyperthyroidism but I also get a thyroid ultrasound once a year to be sure it’s still ok and nothing else going on. Because there is a small chance of it turning to thyroid cancer. But that’s a small risk and I had nodules which is why they check. And to be honest with all my other symptoms and chronic illnesses; with my thyroid I don’t even notice anymore. Lol that’s like the least of my issues/symptoms but I’m sure it plays into it all. Everything all seems to have similar symptoms. :)

    Im so curious what the "full body scan is"? Ive had the CT & MRI scans. I really want to kno. My diagnosis are pretty parallel to yours. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia over a decade ago. Which isn't that amazing when you consider that I've had it my entire life. It just flared really bad and changed completely when I was 19. I find with fibromyalgia there's usually some trauma that sets It Off

    I am 23 and I've been struggling with thyroid issues ( I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism with nodules, cysts and swollen thyroid) since I was 13😷 and last year I switched doctors because nothing was working and my thyroid levels were within normal range. And I got sent to and ENT and Allergy specialist and I discussed my symptoms and I asked him is there a chance that all this could be ( I did all kinds of research and all my symptoms leaned towards Hashimotos) and we both said at the same time (I'm not even joking) HASHIMOTOS. So I got blood tests done for it and it all came back within normal range 😟 and he said I know you have but with insurance and everything I can't medically diagnose until it's caught on a blood test.

    • @haylebailey5812
      @haylebailey5812 4 года назад

      But I got Allergy tests done for environmental and food allergies😷 and I am allergic to everything environmental they test for (except for 2 grasses that isn't even around here) and multiple food allergies. Which explains my horrible stomach pains after eating and not being able to keep most foods I ate down😷

      Girl. Seriously this is my story (minus the allergy testing byt i have an appointment in feburary for testing!! I have allergies to things i just need to find out what). But seriously my symptoms pointed directly to hashimotos but negative, negative, negative... but i KNOW they were all wrong!! Dont let them stop until you get a diagnosis! Thats not fair that he knows you have it but wont treat you becuase of an "official diagnosis " the doctor that did my scan said "dont waste your money getting an official diagnosis, youll spend years and too many tests, just treat it as if you have it and i promise youll feel better." Im treating it now and already starting to feel better. Wish i had better advice! But dont take NO for an answer!!! You got this girl!!!

      @@Aimee_Esther thank you so much. My well check up with my PCP is coming up I'm going to talk to her about everything. I saw your video about the full body scan and how that's how you were finally diagnosed with Hashimotos. I'm going to look into my insurance and see if they cover that.
