      yes, we are witnesses to the victimhood of caitlin clark, the richest and most famous player in league history before she dribbled on a wnba court. i certainly wonder why the other players feel some type of way about her. nothing like this would ever happen to a michael jordan (oh wait, the pistons), or a lebron (oh wait, his own teammates envied him immediately). or maybe, we should all stfu about this ridiculous racism-against-whites or racism-against-blacks madness and either watch or not watch the games. if you support clark, then stop pretending to care about her well-being more than herself or her own father. if you support reese, stop pretending that clark is an invention of the media as a white-folkhero while disacknowledging her winning two straight naismith player of the years, breaking the ncaa scoring record, and right now being one of five players in wnba history to average 15-5-5 in a season--despite her being only a rookie., OH and her team is now in playoff contention despite playing 6 of her first 10 games against the top 2 teams in the league. it is astounding that even in the context of women's basketball issues we find a way to invent mass hysteria and racial hatred, and this happens ALWAYS because of the collective and individual inability to--as a people with the ability to read--have more than one thought in their head about anything at the same time. americans might historically be the dumbest assortment of people in the history of mankind.

    Only 3 teams have double digit wins and the rest are barely above or well below .500.
    The problem with the NBA is it always puts too much attention on individuals and don’t push teams as much as they should. The fact that instead of you all actually talking about the games, you’re talking about the drama shows there’s not much to talk about.

      @clarkkent1521 8 дней назад +6

      @@dionshaewishum4179 Double doubles are overrated when the minimum requirements are 10 points 10 rebounds. You just have to camp under the basket, get rebounds, and then put a few back up, which is Reese's whole game. You can actually get both stats, rebound and bucket, both in the same play. Rebounds aren't hard to get when your whole focus is getting rebounds. Rebounds are guaranteed whenever there is a missed shot, you just have to be there to get it. Hell, Clark had 8 last game and she's a guard who plays perimeter defense who's not actively trying to get rebounds. The more impressive double double is points and assists. You actually have to create an assist in addition to the person needing to score for the assist to count. You can't score yourself and have an assist in the same play, unlike rebounding and putting it back up. In Reese's case, sometimes she can have 2-3 rebounds in a row from her own missed shots and then score. So that's 3-4 stats in one possession. And I've got a couple more stats about your walking double double: The Sky are 1-6 when Reese gets a double double, and they are 3-3 when she doesn't get a double double.

    The fact is the MLS (which season is going on throughout the summer) is way more popular than the WNBA and soccer is not a popular sport in the US and the MLS is ranked as the 15th best soccer league in the world. I am willing to bet that the USL Championship league has more devoted fans than the WNBA... Also the WTA is a much better product than the WNBA even if Iga Świątek dominates all other female players on clay aside from Sabalenka and Naomi Osaka. Magic and Bird were fierce rivals on the court but respected the hell out of each other off the court. They even made commercials together, and it was better for the NBA. Angel Reese could learn a lot from those two. I’m so over the WNBA soap opera drama.

    I've watched a few WNBA games this year and what I've noticed is the gameplay is boring. It feels like watching the 2007 Spurs who were really boring except every team plays like that.
    So, if the WNBA wants to grow they need to switch up the rules to allow way more freedom of movement, encourage iso and handling, and move towards speed. The WNBA is way too slow right now and they shoot way too few 3pters.
    The WNBA's pace is 78.8 and off rating at 102.3 and shooting 22.9 3pters on avg this season. In other professional sports, WRs have about a 12.5% diff between men and women. So, if you account for the physical differences between men and women, the WNBA should be at about an 87.0 pace, 110 off rating and shooting around 30 3s a game or about 12.5% less than the NBA.
    Also, because the WNBA can't replicate the exciting high-flying plays, they really should lean into the exciting things they can like handling, flashy passes, deep 3s, speed, and fast action.

    It's amazing how many people think just because she is looking at the ball, these elite athletes don't have the peripheral awareness to make fouls look unintentional. Athletes at an elite level of competition in all sports push limits at what they can get away with. I think this elite rebounder Angel Reese was keenly aware of her body positioning over Caitlyn Clarks as she went for the ball and in that split second decided if she put a little umph in the block attempt and it hits Clark its close enough to a basketball move to look unintentional. Just like athletes flop they also try to make fouls look unintentional.A Key stat, Angel Reeses team only has 2x flagrant fouls the entire season after playing against over 100 different players, both fouls were against the same player, Caitlyn Clark.

    For years I saw Bill Lambeer not look in his opponent's direction, and not the hell out of him at the same time. You guys are just wrong. What's the likelihood that with all the history it just happens to be Angel Reese that gets to flavorant, on the same team that got the other flagrant? Come on guys this isn't rocket science

    Rob is saying the truth, very little basketball. I thought people would be talking of the great night CC had, but the media made so much emphasis on the flagrant foul

    It looked worst than what it was.She swung, instead of her arm going straight up.
