@@MichaelOHanian Where does the active pen store in the tablet? I see a place for a lanyard but it says not to let it hang. Seems like there should be a hole for it to hide in or something. Please advise
@tigga5117 Thank you! I do have a 7330 in my kit. I am shooting a video on the Dell U32 6K display this weekend. I am supposed to make a video on the Alienware M18 next. Let me see if I can squeeze the 7330 into my schedule (before the M18). Not likely to be completed in until mid November.
@@MichaelOHanian Hey that Sounds awesome! Especially the deeper insides are amazing for anyone whos interested in one of those devices. Thanks for your reply!
This was a great review. Our biggest concern is the unit would be off balanced and top heavy with the keyboard accessory where it would tend to tip forward without the kickstand. Our medics would use on their lap so if this is the case maybe one of laptop form factors would be better for us. Are you able to provide any thoughts on the balance concerns?
@bayareaEMS I know what you are saying. I am happy to report that the keyboard is very solid and it has a strong connection to the tablet. You will not experience tipping from it being top heavy (very well balanced). Send me an email at michael_Ohanian@dell.com and I will is if I can get the local Dell rep to bring one to you to so you can see it.
Hi Mike, is there a video that shows how to unlock the 7230 tablet without a keyboard please? When we try to press the power + volume down button, it keeps turning off. Thank you.
Very interesting video, Do you know if a "desktop" dock exists for it? I'd like to have mine plugged and charged via the pogo pins and not having to open the type C connector every time Thank you (Even only the pogo pinout would be helpful 😅)
Very helpful demo. Can you confirm whether the keyboard is the 580-AKSN model or the rubberized 580-AKSL model. I got these two items optional on a Dell quote but cannot find any info on the two online. Thx.
@wesjohnson405 Thank you! US English Premium 580-AKUY (the one I showed on the video). If you want that same keyboard but have it a Rubberized version, the part number is 580-AKSL. Rubberized version is usually required for being at sea, when you have salt water exposure. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@user-ye8cg1sl6z It does come with a tether cable that you can attach to the 7230. However, there is not a housing for the stylist built into the 7230. If you get the optional shoulder strap is does have a place to house the pen.
@@MichaelOHanian 12" tablet is a better fit for me, 13" notebook is a little big and more money too; i would prefer a faster processor; this one will stay with me for a few yrs
@mulinaute Not water proof. That would be IP69. The number 5 in an IP65 enclosure indicates it is protected from light pressure water jets and other liquids sprayed or splashed, from any angle. For reference, the IP rating for liquids extends up to the number 9. An IP69 rated enclosure protects its internal components from liquids even when immersed beyond 1m or sprayed with close-range powerful water jets.
Awesome walk through, I wish there was more content like this!
Thank you!

Can you also make one for the 7330 rugged extreme? Those in depth details are very helpful.
