I thought so as well, even though we’re given interior concepts/layouts Astro seems to do whatever they want and even changes up the floor plan. Not to mention it looks like some default texturing and basic geometry. It’s not as inventive as I first thought. Just more like a child drawing randomly over a coloring book’s predetermined lines
@@AstroChronicles nothing to be sorry about! It's my brain being dumb at times xD In your defense, given CIG's tendency of sticking guns onto anything, I wouldn't be *too* surprised if they did so with elevators, too. On a more serious note, we haven't yet seen (as far as I can remember) internal automated defenses like turrets to keep the corridors of a ship from boarders and the like... so armed elevators could be a thing xD
God i love the Liberator so much, i hope they let us customise it and hows its used so that we can be a tranport, a light carrier, a mining base, a sort of pirate outpost and such. Great vid, loved to see the inside of one before we get it in game
The only thing it's still missing is a small medbed room, despite having space to spare. this being said, this ship ticks all the boxes for me, including a very barebone crew that makes using it more realistic. I can imagine a set up for every scenery, like Search & Rescue with a Vulkan, an argo SRV and a Vulture, a mining team with an Expanse, a prospector and a F7c-R as a protection/scanning scout. in the belly of the ship you can easily store a Pisces Rescue (which brings a medical bed), a Hull A for carrying away and in some cargo, an Argo MVP for moving people in and out and still have space for 400SCU of cargo and several ground vehicles. All the ships I mentioned seem to fit on the landing pad without effort.
Really opened my mind to the cool possibilities. Racing, Mining, Forward Deployment. Just about anything! For operating in a local system, this may be the most versatile tool yet.
@@byron.jennings imagine bringing with you and Expanse and a couple of prospectors, may be with a hull A and a Pisces red in the belly. Or may be a Vulkan, a Vulture and an Argo SRV for Search & Rescue... 🤩
Great job as always. What I don't get is how the bridge will have a full view of the three landing pads. The CIG design makes it nearly impossible to see the rear upper pad.
"Bergbau Brüder" am I missing something? :D that is some amazing work of yours. I consider buying one, but I'm waiting until it's closer to it's release. maybe next year for 4.0? we'll have to be patience, as usual with CIG :)
I have a question, not complaining or anything, but why it takes CIG so long to make these ships? I understand that those are not just models and there are mechanics that need to be done, but its takes more than a year to make big ships. The banu ship has a lot of complex shapes so I can understand, but most ships are very simple geometrically speaking. What is it that makes so difficult to make these ships?
I really feel like the Jump seat room is a horrible waste of space on the Liberator and hope they change it. Unless there's a way out to the surface straight from there, it makes zero sense to have it in that location or at all. The space could be better used for a medbed or some more bunks/storage.
vraiment merci de faire ce travaille c'est mon vaisseau préférer du jeu et la c'est ouf de pouvoir voir l'intérieure comme ça et en plus que ce soit un fan qu'il est fait juste merci
I am so glad I picked up one of these ships. I just wish it was slated to have more beds, for those long haul missions. But I guess the prospector pilots can sleep in their own ships, but what of the escort pilots?
No. In the final version of the game even stations won't have the same spawning mechanism they currently do, but ship hangars definitely won't be able to respawn ships.
C.i.G: "It's going to be about 5 to 10 years before the Liberator is built at present." Astro: "Hold my drink" *Cranks out a near finished ship in a few weeks.*
It’s nera finished but I’d say the interior layout is actually not very good. There’s not enough beds or crew quarters, and the jump seats are far from any entrance or exit of the ship. Also, some of the stuff just feel oddly placed and overly small/overly big compared to the space other rooms get. But I think the engineering section is well done and really cool, it really feels like you’re in the “underbelly” of the ship. All that said, however, it’s still really impressive that one guy made this.
I didn't know it, but you can 3D print pretty much anything now, in materials up to and including titanium. And I know the theory and everything behind spaceships to the point where I may as well be considered a shipwright... So I could just print out and deliver spacecraft now in terms of technology. In practice, I'd need to create a corporation and hire 20 or 30 people... I'd like star citizen to become a training program that could one day license people on different vehicles, like a digital DMV. Otherwise it would take far too long politically to make the whole flying car thing a reality... understand that the technology is there and that isn't the limitation. (You wouldn't download a car....?)
Feels like Astro has created more ship content this year than the CIG team. And all of it is awesome.
exactly. hes doing the dev work of 6 people in 3 months haha
@@Timbodacious Noticed a few issues with these interiors. No Showers/Toilets. Even the base builder videos tend to lack them.

For some odd reason my brain didn't read the "Turret" part of "Turret Elevator" and went "Wait... do elevators get GUNS now?!"

Guns on an elevator makes sense if you're dropping infantry. keep your troops alive via suppressive fire.

Yeah, it's supposed to be a inter-system transport, but I can easily see it providing a wider range of uses if they give it modularity

Great work Astro Chronicles!

Man that really makes me feel a little bit bad for melting my Liberator. Maybe I get one ingame whenever it comes out...
all ships will be earnable in game - no stress! haha
@@AstroChronicles I know that. But the question is when ;)
Great work! You are getting so detailed with interiors. You really brought this cool ship to life.
Thank you very much! Feel free to post suggestions or ideas!
Great video, music goes hard.
I bought mine. Can't wait to get it.
Awesome job. The lighting in your videos reminds me of the old ReBoot TV show. I like it!
Amazing job. I really hope on top I can fit the expanse to finish off my small mining operation. 1 prospector and 1 expanse with tons of other options

I thought this was real great job

Kinda make it feel more like CIG is slacking and not doing enough to produce ships

Still hoping to turn my Liberator into a Biker Bar

Yes, it’s scaled based on info from CIG

Probably hot bunking if possible in the future. Or eep on the deployable beds CIG showed off a few years back.
can i ask what programm you used to make this 3d models ?
Well, take my money CIG, just take my money.
I believe there will be a room with a terminal to spawn the ships right? Im not sure how hangars are going to work
No. In the final version of the game even stations won't have the same spawning mechanism they currently do, but ship hangars definitely won't be able to respawn ships.
Have a kraken but i think I need one of these for small ops
All CIG gotta do (besides make the ship lol) is replace that useless jumpsuit room with some actual bunks and the Liberator will be a great ship!
Or a medbay…
Impressive. Where did you ge the model for this? Did you build all this from scratch? All the little wall and room dressings and furniture?
i got the shell from holo-viewer from CIG site - everything else was hand made
So will the turret have two size 6 mounts with 2 repeaters on gimbals?
Nice, very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
CIG should employ you!
I hope a prospector can fit inside there

It's $460, so less than most of the bigger ships.
