hearing mixed opinions on this run, but my fandom cant let me skip a Star Wars omnibus no matter the content lol. Super excited for this despite partially negative feedback from others
I don’t buy many Star Wars omnis but this looks too good to pass up! Hey Omar, I’d be interested to see in which order you’re filing your own Star Wars omnis next time you do a bit of filming of your shelves!
I kind of wish they combined all the comics as one chronological read, where panels from different issues can intersect. Even though the issues are listed here in chronological order, it still feels segmented.
Do you think they’ll combine the last 2 parts of the trilogy (Crimson Reign and hidden empire) into 1 Omni since the third part isn’t a line-wide event but just a mini?
What's the first part of the trilogy? This whole book in the video or something different. I really wanna read this trilogy but don't know where to begin
I pre-ordered this one even though I've never read it, because I'm a Star Wars geek to a fault. I'm pretty sure they changed the covers from the way they were originally solicited, but oh well.
I'm noticing it's harder to find Marvel TPB and HC collections in the near future and I wonder if Disney is keeping them close hold. Like, I'd really like to know if and how Hidden Empire is being collected. I'd love it if it were in HC with Crimson Reign.
Star Wars by Jason Aaron is probably the best if you want some good old Original trilogy star wars fun - especially with the new canon. It's set between Episode 4 and 5. It stars Luke and the gang as the main characters. The omnibus was recently reprinted, so should be available at market price of even on sale. Other than that I'd recommend both Darth Vader Omnis that have been released. Kieron Gillens run (between EP 4 and 5), and Charles Soules run (between Episode 3 & 4). The Knights of the Old Republic omnibus is also great if you can find it. It's part of the old canon expanded Universe (legends) that existed before Disney bought the rights. It's set 1000's of years before Episode 4. It's probably one of - if not the - best comic runs in star wars history. Marvel printed an omnibus around a year or so ago, but I believe it sold out fast and is hard to get now. If you can, you should definitely get it.
Old Republic is great, for newer marvel runs id say the Darth Vader by Charles Soule is the absolute best choice. Both are great choices but Soules Vader is amaaaazing though but just my opinion.
If you can find it cheap, The Old Republic omnibus 1 collects the entire Knights of the Old Republic series. I've read lots of Star Wars comics, new and old, but KOTOR has to be the best. It's been a blast all the way through and the characters feel so real.
Between this, Venomnibus vol. 4, King In Black, Black Panther by Priest, & MAYBE She-Hulk by Slott (and by David) my wallet gonna ripped itself apart!!
Could anyone do a comparison of this story to Shadows of the Empire? Loved the Shadows book from back in the day and am wondering how this story compares since both take place as Boba Fett makes his way to Jabba's Palace.
I bought this, haven’t opened it…still debating if I want to read this…will there be a Crimson Reign omnibus to follow up? Since this story is part of a trilogy
Hey Omar, when a book is mapped well like this (or the Cates/Stegman _Venom_ omnibus), would it be possible for you to list the full official reading order somewhere? That way anyone who has the material in another format and can't justify the upgrade for whatever reason can at least replicate the "correct" order. If it's got a proper contents, just pausing for a moment on a nice clean shot of each page is more than enough, but if it not, could you stick a list on screen at some point (or even in the video's description)? Thanks.
All of it? Most likely no, because there are one shots specific to the event, that won’t really be in a “Star Wars by Soule”, “Darth Vader by Pak” or in Doctor Aphra vol 2 (which we know the contents)
everyone has a different opinion. imo anything going more in depth for Boba and other bounty hunters is super exciting to see them more fleshed out. But ive heard others call this run pointless. I haven't read it but im also biased considering anything Star Wars is worth getting to me personally.
@@JoeArnold333 thanks! and yea I’ve heard that the first few issues were boring and I thought how is anything with Boba Fett boring?? Thanks again for the input
It's not as good as some of the Legends (Dark Horse books) like New Republic or Empire, but lots better than Star Wars Legends: Rise of the Sith. It's a fun story, I can see some aspects of it being boring like Doctor Aphra, but there are some great moments.

Literally pre-ordered this book and venomnibus earlier today.
I'm running out of shelf space
Read the main event but this Omni looks pretty gorgeous
I HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS TO COME OUT!!!! THANKS MARVEL AND OMAR!!!!
Please let David Gabriel know that we need Star Wars vol 2!

Great review as always! Thank you Omar 👍🏼 Definitely getting this. Really need that Star Wars Vol 2 (Gillen /Pak), so overdue!
Almost worth it just to see McNiven doing Boba Fett in oversized. Wish he would do more runs.
Man I’m really torn between which cover to get with this one 😬😬 but this was an excellent overview as always
Thank you so much.
Whenever you have an option to get a cover with Bobba Fett, definitely go with that option 😊

Great video. I will buy for sure just to make marvel put more Star Wars omnis in the market.
Looking forward to this one.
Super excited for this! I wanted to read WotBH, but I don’t buy singles.
I really wish they would put out the beginings of these series in UHC or omni.
Cool omnis this week
Do you think they’ll combine the last 2 parts of the trilogy (Crimson Reign and hidden empire) into 1 Omni since the third part isn’t a line-wide event but just a mini?
I hope so!
Did they include it?
What's the first part of the trilogy? This whole book in the video or something different. I really wanna read this trilogy but don't know where to begin
Haven't read this yet but I've been looking forward to this one!
I collected all the singles and have the exact cover under the dust jacket.
Great...another book i would never have thought to get. Thanks Omar!

Anyone know what the other spine image is?
If I have never read any Star Wars comics. But I love Star Wars as a franchise.
Which omnibus or omnibuses would you recommend me getting?

Darth Vader by Charles Soule is so good! Doctor Aphra is great as well
Old Republic has been my favorite so far. The ones in print I would pick up Star Wars Legends: Empire Omnibus Vol. 1 or Vader by Gillen.
If you can find it cheap, The Old Republic omnibus 1 collects the entire Knights of the Old Republic series. I've read lots of Star Wars comics, new and old, but KOTOR has to be the best. It's been a blast all the way through and the characters feel so real.
Hell yes!
Crimson Empire is even better I m reading that in singles
Between this, Venomnibus vol. 4, King In Black, Black Panther by Priest, & MAYBE She-Hulk by Slott (and by David) my wallet gonna ripped itself apart!!
Just my opinion, but you can pass on She-hulk by Slott. Didn't think much of it at all. Again just my opinion. It's your money.
Could anyone do a comparison of this story to Shadows of the Empire? Loved the Shadows book from back in the day and am wondering how this story compares since both take place as Boba Fett makes his way to Jabba's Palace.

Did they change the variant cover, I ordered a Yu variant with only Boba Fett on it….?
Yeah, I believe so, because same here. 😢
are they not selling the DM cover shown in the video? I'd like to pick up the one Omar reviewed.
@@el_danimal5028 I'm sure these are the final covers at this point.
Do you think there's a chance the that Star Wars: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus Volume 1 will ever get a reprint?

I can try, but may have to be reminded.
so if i get the normal omnibuses (whenever they exist) they should contain all of this correct? i would just have to figure out the order myself
All of it? Most likely no, because there are one shots specific to the event, that won’t really be in a “Star Wars by Soule”, “Darth Vader by Pak” or in Doctor Aphra vol 2 (which we know the contents)
Probably not all of it. Maybe the one shot.
Need to know if this is a good Omnibus

Do this a hunt for Solo frozen body
Yes that’s correct.
@@NearMintCondition all this for a body. A lot happened. 😯 Eh
War of the Bo Unty hunters!
Disney fan fiction. Pass.
