I think it was a good choice because it also gives me the feeling “yeah, this was once a game’s background music, but we are moving on now” like when your character dies in the game, you just move on with the next one.
This is terrific music. makiiavely What would your opinion be of a combination Crusader Kings and Total War game (CK for campaign map, with TW real-time battles and military diversity)? I assume by your avatar that you know of Total War: Rome II, which is why I ask.
***** I think there are a large number of people who like both series; therefore, something along those lines should be popular. It is a shame CA and Paradox probably will not work together to make something such as that.
Answering 7 years later XD hope y'all guys are still alive In fact there are mods that allow that, like on eu4 for example. But yeah an official game with these 2 things ? Masterpiece.

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Hosts, Heaven and Earth are full of Your Glory, Hosanna in the Highest, Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest! - English Translation - it is chanted every Catholic Mass during the Consecration of the Eucharist.
Well, it is obviously a sanctus chant, but the lyrics are not exactly equal, I think. It begins with "Sanctus, sanctus. Domine deus." And it finishes with "Gloria", but I can't identify more lyrics.
I think this is the best track in the game
literally I demand sheet music for it
@@carlphilippgaebler5704 Same!
This or A King Is Dead. Both are amazing.
@@carlphilippgaebler5704 I made an arrangement of the first part :) ruclips.net/video/mlDSb9y7KoM/видео.html
@andre_xlvii God bless you
I like that they reused this for the death theme in CK3
Still miss rest of the song though :(

The ending always makes me tear up, as is the case with most of the CK2 soundtrack, especially Horns of Hattin and Agnus Dei. So damn beautiful.
It is the beauty of the traditional Catholic Liturgy, try to go to a latin mass near you
@@MattiavonSigmund I’ve attended them many times - Our Lady of Grace Cathedral, North Carolina.
this game's soundtrack alone make it worth playing
I don't see it in the soundtrack but im pretty sure the chant section of this song plays when your character dies in ck3
My thoughts exactly
yup it is in ck3 with the same name
Best song in the game I tried hard to find it and finally felt joy
2:29
CK3 announcement theme
The name of which is... what, exactly?
master piece
This reminds me of Fable: The Lost Chapters.
Fun fact: this is based off a catholic hymn
This is terrific music.

It would be one of the best games ever.

I want a Crusader Kings version of the Sonic X opening with this music.
Why?
Magnífico
Reminds me of the original Stronghold's soundtrack

I have listened the ck3 version, which is more clear, and it says: "Sanctus, sanctus. Domine Deus. Hosanna in excelsis. Gloria".
I cant hear clearly what is being singing in 02:05 . is anyone write the answer ?
look for the comment that says "I need lyrics of this chant." The real and translated lyrics are there
Sanctus, sanctus. Domine Deus. Hosanna in excelsis. Gloria
