Hi Megan, just ran across your channel for the first time. I too came from LA and have been here for over 3 years. Looking over your content I think your move to Dallas was about strengthening yourself mentally. Sometime the MOST HIGH will allow us to go thru things in order to develop a mindset of being a conqueror over the battles. How else do you get stronger unless you get exercised in the area you need to build strength in. LA was comfortable for you. I don't believe this season of your life is about comfort. ABBA wants you to put the work in to be your best version. You have a defeatist spirit on you. Break that stronghold and become the conqueror you are. Conquer Dallas and make it work for you. Eloquently well said! I agree. However continue to communicate with the Most High to find out if you should stay in Dallas or leave. I moved to NY from LA 3 years ago (Ironically I was thinking about Houston but went to NY because of the transit system). I absolutely hate NY lol! The Most High spoke to me recently and told me to prepare to move to Houston or Dallas in 6 months but in order for me to know which one I have to do research and visit first. So in other words I was a sitting duck in New York for 3 years and I quit maybe 12 jobs because I was unhappy and missing Los Angeles. So my advice to you is to continue to wait on the Most High he will let you know. Also maybe you should start your own eyebrow business 💜

Hello Miss Alexis. Much blessings to your Husbsnd and You. I live in Grand Prairie and work In Dallas. What y’all are experiencing is the spirit over Dallas. It will be unwelcoming in a way that’s not gangsta or even tough. Dallas overall isn’t tough at all; it’s the spirit of ostracism; pretty much treating people like they don’t exist or not acknowledging you as a person. You and your husband can make it here in Dallas; especially together as one. Dallas and GrsndPrairie in particular is designed better for married couples or families. Also, Dallas over all, doesn’t have a culture or personality for Bronze or let’s say our people. That’s when the Husband and Wife have to work together. Another commentor left a comment saying “counquer Dallas”, She telling you a pure truth. My saying is, don’t let Dallas win. I’ve been here most of my life and have endured several attacks in ways that most wouldn’t believe. Dallas or the spirit of Dallas puts slackers ahead of go getter’s or strong working people. I.e. Bronze people. It takes working decent people and attack at your welfare or your source of income. Dallas is in no way a rough place, it’s just a festering ostracizing region that tries to conquer you by or through (exclusion). But you and your husband being together and as one, y’all will defeat Dallas. I’ve defeated Dsllas even after the spirit of it tried to destroy me. I did it through studying other city regions and studying the college locations, the demographics of cultures, I.e, our people and make conclusions or cons and pros of those city regions and I pass knowledge on while still working on my job and striving for my dream. And that’s what Dallas hates. Defeat it by being persistent. A true secret to Dallas is, one doesn’t even have to be assertive in Dallas. One can simply mirror Dallas and keep your goals with you and your husband and being tight in every decision and monitory decision and watch Dalllas bend to your y’all wants because y’all will no longer be under its ignorance. I know it’s a long comment but I let anyone moving here form other states or far cities, how to conquer Dallas.

Honestly I haven’t felt alone or ostracized I think the only things that’s kept us here so long is the size of the community we have between family and friends . It’s quite a few people here we have for support. Actually the most we have besides our original home towns Chicago and Jackson Ms. Career and money has been the main thing attacked here . I honestly feel so defeated I’ve never felt this way about any place but quite honestly growing to resent it here. I hate to say that because we have so much support and that has been beautiful. But other than that I really shouldn’t say much because I’d be speaking from hurt.

I feel the same way. I regret moving to Texas. It has been nothing but problems here since I came. I have had many issues with people and it has been one thing after another. I want to move out of this state.
I totally understand how you feel . Everything isn’t for everybody , maybe a move is best for you. But if I could suggest anything take this time to lean into your relationship with God. Thats the only thing that kept me through the last months on a very strong note and I am so thankful to Texas for building my faith back stronger than ever

I say follow your heart, this is your journey and whatever you decide, God will be by your side! I left Sacramento, California last year to Houston, Texas and my heart is calling me back home. I've been in my head a lot about this decision that I could barely sleep. I've been depressed here and forcing myself to make it work and to be happy but it's just an illusion. I endured several lost like yourself and sometimes fall in and out of depression. I have a daughter and it's hard to be my best self to her if i'm not happy! I'm going back home girl and i'm going to make the best of it! God wants us to be happy! Everyone speaks about comfort zone but that's a mentality. Life is what you make it and if you don't want to be comfortable in Cali then don't! push yourself in Cali and be your best self! It's difficult to manifest in a low vibrational frequency! Go where you are the happiest! ❤
I thought I responded to your comment. Not sure what happened, but thank you for sharing your story. I think a lot of times it’s easy for people from the outside to judge your decisions and it can cause us to second guess ourselves. But at the end of the day YOU are that one that’s gotta live with your decision and you have a little one looking up to you to see if you are bold enough in faith to follow your heart. Trust God and it will work out! I promise .

FL was on my radar,but the hurricanes deterred me very quickly. Yea I grew up dealing with it,but I just couldn't bring myself to actually doing it,but we'll see. You got a whole lotta excuses. I think you are or were your own problem. You simply weren't ready for change in my opinion and as far as your license are concerned, you should've done your research and prepared yourself to work for someone until the transfer of license were ready. JMO no pun intended. No it may not be time to go, but may be time to play by someone elses rules until you can get yourself together as far as working as an esthetician is concerned(if thats your passion). Sometimes because we are aware that we have someone else to fall back on, we create problems that aren't even there. Everyone who has to pass State Boards knows that every State has their own requirements. Unfortunately you did not prepare yourself for the move. Negative,Negative,Negative. If those places were so great why did you LEAVE a such a paradise as Chicago or Los Angeles. Such wonderful safe clean places. Waxing a client and filming? You got to be kidding. Do yourself a favor and move back if you are so unhappy.
Hello Karen. Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately due to medical discrimination we were forced to leave California in a hurry to find work. And I wasn’t filming while waxing a client . I was fired just for discussing my pay at said establishment. The second time I was let go because I wasn’t trained properly to use their wax. I’m sure you misunderstood, but if you have any other questions I’m more than happy to clarify. As an update , we are no longer in Dallas . I think it’s a great city for the right person I just believe it was not for me. And I essentially was a refugee leaving LA for medical freedom. So please be nice when commenting on someone’s circumstances before having the entire story. 💞 best wishes to you . And if you live in TX I pray nothing but abundance for you. Just didn’t work for my family. 🫶🏾
Well, it might not be time to go. It's your life so ultimately you have to be in tuned to you. Being fired and leaving a job is two different things. The economy is changing so everything is effected by that. The more a field becomes flooded with people doing a job it becomes harder to make money. It's harder now. Liking a job doesn't mean it will be lucrative. Good luck. Sounds as if you are in the middle of your personal journey. Just understand that the economy has changed and being let go from jobs doesn't necessarily mean God is telling you to move. People are being let go from jobs which effects spending. We are in a recession/ depression and it looks as of it's not leaving this time. Maybe Changing your mindset on the reality of what is going on around you.
Thanks sis for your comment , we have left already and things are def falling better into place. I really think what was lacking was a personal spiritual relationship with God when I was in Texas I truly believe I was in a warfare mentally and spiritually that made me feel stuck and depressed . I am no longer in that place mentally but a lot of changes were made to how I was operating. I know I’ll have to maintain the mindset I’ve developed since leaving but I still do believe that God was giving me signs that it was time to leave .
Simple, go out and find a Good Man and settle down and work with him and build your life with him, God really wants females and males to marry first then have a baby if you want, stop trying to go against the grain, that's why you strugglin.
