    For those curious on 3V head flow. My engine builder had a local guy port mine and flow before/after. Stock flowed 208/142 Intake/exhaust at .500”. Ported flowed 263/203. They ported it to pair nicely with the cams/intake. Could definitely go more but was no reason to for this application.

    This is definitely the video I’ve been waiting for! 3v heavily underrated these cars are starting to come back with everything being stupid expensive.

    Could 3 valve gotten bad rep when people didn’t change oil often enough?
    3 valve seems like nice idea . Unless you spinning engine at ridiculous rpm it wasn’t really intended for. 4 valve might have lighter weight in its valve.

    The 2 and 4 valve seemed more reliable but if you don’t judge to harsh 3 valve performs but did they run for same number of years as the 2 and 4 has without much care? Only bad things I heard about 3 valve was didn’t have same longevity as 2 or 4 valve but also know a few still running their 3 valves. Could be a wise tail but how does it happen? Or was it bit more complex?

    In reference to the LY6/E247 question: I'm a dummy, and didn't clean all the schmutz off the corner of the head. There's a big "823" stamped right on it. (The E247 was stamped in the rocker valley and easy to see, which distracted my simple attention span.)

    Ppl only like the aluminum block from the 3v, 2v n 4v always want to use them blocks to sleeve the block..

      Actually, the aluminum Teksid block from the 93-98 Mark VIII and 96-99 Cobra is the most desirable.

    Will a 3v fit in place of a 2v 4v is too wide for my chassis

      The only difference between the 4.6 3v 2v and 4v are the cylinder heads

      @@jasonbolka9713 anybody with the widths across the exhaust manifolds? I have a 92 Panther chassis and 4 valve have been done but it's not worth the work I have a spare low mileage 92 so may PI it or Kenne Bell Mine was the test car for the Transgo AODE kit 20 years ago RIP Gil

      A 4.6 3v will swap in place of any 4.6 2v original car. Although the 3v has completely different engine mounts, then the 2v/4v engines.

      @@jaceconder4584 Thanks so much I have a line on a 3v wrecked mustang I'm going to part out my 92 has 300kmiles and about 250k on the transgo trans I recommend citgo Quatrosyn
