I love listening to Sir John Gielgud. He sounds so experienced in his field and can learn so much from him.

This is one of the most incredible interviews I have heard. I understand why I have enjoyed so much each and every role I have seen him performe.

Sir John Gielgud was an actor of immense proportions, and his voice is absolute pure gold!
I don’t believe there was a more distinguished and beautiful human being.

Love the man, like the actor. Very kind. Interviewed him in the Sixties NYC when he was on Bdway with Irene Worth and I was just starting out as a megastar interviewer. When workin gon my Marilyn Monroe biog `The Marilyn Scandal` I received several very sweet notes from Sir John, one dated Chrstmas Eve. All are handwritten, with Christmas Eve scrawled on the one thatt I mention.

Sir John would hate the current 'travesty' of Shakespeare in London and on film with all its reimaginings.

What a wonderful man and actor John Gielgud was. When you look at how crap actors are now, its so depressing. RIP John

I really miss these slow paced interviews with well spoken, experienced experts in their fields. Sick to death of the modern 'reality show/youtube *stars*' with vapid opinions and nothing of value to say.

Sir John Gielgud was the greatest actor in the English speaking world bar none.

Parkinson is like Dick Cavett, relying heavily on cute anecdotes no matter how interesting the guest is. Gielgud plays along with charm and grace.
