I’ve been doing one meal a day since late April 2022. I mostly eat whatever I want (a lot of pizza, coincidentally). I was 60 lbs overweight. I’ve dropped 40 lbs and improved significantly on my mountain bike. I 100% agree that it has made my life easier and happier. I plan on continuing like this forever. After I reach my goal weight, I plan on having a physical to make sure everything is a-ok.
Why get a physical? Gotta love how so many of you morons will get all worried about this but won’t bat an eye when someone just eats meat, nope that’s perfectly healthy 🙄
I think there might be something about his gut microbiome being adapted to this diet at such a young age as well, separate from either aspect individually. I suspect there are certain digestive bacteria that can be taken to a zero-point, never to come back again. There may be ingredients he uses that a normally dieting person later in life's gut may not have the optimal bacteria to digest. Like, there may be a few bacteria that consume a certain part of a certain type of cheese, but one that works particularly well, which most people just won't have later in life because it wasn't "fed" regularly, or has been destroyed from NSAIDS, or some antibiotics they've had to take. I don't know if that makes any sense, it's just an intuition.
This guy eats 7k Calories a night. Sleeps what, 7 hours? Then works out 10 hours a a day, or more in some cases. The average is 2500. At the end of the day, makes complete sense.
It's not complicated. Youth + genetics goes a long way in certain individuals. There are centenarians who were known to smoke and eat French fries everyday. That doesn't mean the average human being can take up smoking and eating junk food without consequences--we know those things kill; slowly and surely over time, causing chronic diseases. Go ahead and play that roulette game if you want but it means nothing at the population level. This isn't news.
Yes and no, the immediate down side is not as evident, but what you do in your 20s directly effects you in your 30s. People with high BP or pre-diabetic in their mid 30s often are like that because of the nutritional decisions they made in their 20s among other things of course.
I'm watching this from the toilet
This warms our hearts.
How big was it ?
Same
Read this right when he said "I don't wanna crap on it"
me too
Like Matt Hughes once said, “you can eat whatever you want as long as you’re burning it off in the gym.”
Peccorino and parmesean are both actually high in B12, he's doing a really solid job with his diet.
Somebody get that man a cup of water right now
lol amazing comment, i love it

Good call on the physical. Make sure to spend the extra sheckles and get a full blood panel. Great to hear about your progress!

It really makes you feel like you're in front of his big fat face. Very realistic.
your audio isnt close to synced at all
We are fans of 80's kung-fu movies and enjoy the dubbing. Thanks for noticing
Pretty good breakdown, first time watching this
It's different, but something to being happy really makes sense.

It's an interesting thought. It will be fascinating to see how this changes or what he does differently as he gets older.
The one meal a day diet has recently been promoted by Bruce Springsteen and Gary Lineker

It's true. But still a little unconventional, no?
Why is the video not matching the sound?
Mainly because Bill is bad at technology.
I doubt he can continue that diet into his 50s it’s missing real protein 🥩 💪

We like to keep you on your toes.
They guy keeps smacking his lips sounds nasty
It's true, we tell him he sounds like a big dumb animal. But he just keeps smacking us up with those lips.

Thanks for the response!
What a drab comment
I don’t understand why this is shocking, it’s basically just a Mediterranean diet?
I wouldn't say it is shocking, but somewhat unusual for a professional athlete to eat this way.
👏👏👏
He probably meant 7000 kJ (=1673 kcal)
See how that diet works when he's in his 30s and 40s tho.
For sure he will run into some sustainability issues at some point.
Your diet is less important while you’re in your 20s than it is in your 30s and of course your 40s.
