    I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. I felt like I was back in Cape Town again. For those that think that this is not a classic milk tart, they are wrong. It is entirely authentic. Yes, puff pastry is used by some and the egg whites are beaten and folded in. Another variation is to fold the beaten eggs into a white sauce and add the milk thereafter, and use a short crust pastry. Recipes are like language and accent. They are a signature of time and place. Thankyou for sharing this recipe.

    That is not a milktart. Condens milk and a biscuit base...??? No folding in of the egg whites? Really?
