What up Team!! I’m really sorry for leaving you hanging. The past month has been crazy, and although I’m extremely grateful and happy about the growth of the channel in such short period of time, it took a lot of all nighters, and a few days in a row with 3-4 hours of sleep. I basically operated on adrenaline. And obviously the crash is pretty bad. I was physically and mentally drained. This past week, there were days where I couldn’t do/didn’t feel like doing anything besides laying in bed or watching youtube. I needed some time off. But I should handle it way better and I am aware of that. Once again I apologize. I am working on creating a sustainable plan for creating a backlog of videos-so that you guys have your content without me having to go to bed at 9am :)
Thanks for your constant support. It really means more than you think. Talk to you in the next one, Peace out!!!

the only thing not working for them is an offense. Once they figure that out, they will go on winning streaks like the Lakers are right now. Remember the Lakers had one of the worst defense in the league and they figured it out and keep winning games no matter who the opponent is. Even without Gordon, Boston should be the top seed. With Gordon after playing 30 or more games and back to his former self, they can contend golden state.

@@ahmadmuhaemin6969 The problem is, that the players know that (for most of them) their future isn´t in Boston. They want to shine now as brigh as they can to get good contracts. This is the reason why they don´t act as a team in the offense because everybody wants his points on the stat sheet. And this could be a problem for the hole season.

I've heard this stat a few times... Not much to explain there honestly. I covered the overall shooting % of the players. It's pretty much the same. Knock down the open shots-the overall % goes up. I don't know why people talk about this stat that much. Do we expect them to start hitting open shots more? Every player expects to hit the open shot. Sometimes it goes in-sometimes it doesn't. Thus the record. But yeah, nice find, cheers brodie ✌️

yeah, I totally agree with you, as a Celtics fan I was said this before in many comments section regarding the Celtics offensive problem. They are just playing too many iso ball and one on one type of offense, our players just simply need the ball on almost every occasion, none of them were role player at the moment. They didn't know what to do if they don't have the ball in their own hands, you'll see that very often in our games, especially when we're not leading.

Watching this Heat Check video from 3 months later and sadly many of the same things being discussed here are still going on even from last nights loss to the Blazers. Ball movement last year was just beautiful between the young players at the end of the season and into the playoffs. It feels right now like contested hero ball - with flashes of great ball movement. Sad to see such a promising squad continue to struggle so badly with chemistry issues. Almost like Hayward and Irving don't fit with this team anymore which is a silly thing to say I know.

  • @TheTimLara
    @TheTimLara 6 лет назад

Great video! Maybe it was because he wasn't fully healthy, but there was a big difference in how Irving played last year, as he was more of a "quiet playmaker", at least by his standards. This year, it seems like he is trying to do more of his trademark fancy dribbling highlight plays that fans love, but it seems like that style is actually less effective in Steven's system and feels like it's turning into a competition to see who is the best iso scoring alpha dog. There's almost nobody I'd rather give the ball to in the final seconds of crunch time when you need a bucket, but I just don't think that style of play is sustainable for the whole game compared to smart ball movement and balanced scoring. Not every play can be a highlight, you need easy buckets too.

Totally agree with the whole team chemistry issue. Celtics have too many talents gathered in one area, making them more competitive within themselves, sometimes they don't pass, sometimes they try too hard to make shots. Hopefully, their chemistry will grow really soon, would definitely enjoy seeing more solid assists, alley-oops and more. Everyone so afraid of being the 'robin' to the 'batman', but honestly, there wouldn't be even a batman if the team won't play well. There are still instances in which Hayward hesitates, which is totally understandable, it's gonna take time for his unconscious mind to let him play freely again.

Lol! Going to kobe bryant, as a 19 year old, was a horrible move. Kobe is and was one of the most selfish players EVER! He ONLY cared about scoring. Him leading teams had them missing playoffs, IN HIS PRIME! Because he was so selfish and a ball hog, he needed a system and all stars to reel him and his ego in. If you follow the kobe method, your team's will definetly lose. Kyrie followed the kobe methods before lebron and the cavs were in the lottery 4 years straight. Tatum needs to stay within brad Stevens system, and cut that hero ball out. Hell, so does terry rozier

That's part of why he didn't even make the playoffs 3out of 4 years in his prime. I watched kobe at lower merion, and he was the EXACT same way. That way does not win championships unless you have skilled players in a system.

So here’s the problem with your first point... the Celtics are top 5 in the league in most areas (being 3pt line, midrange, etc.) in shooting OPEN shot attempts per game. But then they are bottom 5 in converting those attempting.
Also Boston is actually bottom 5 when it comes to taking open post shots but is 4th in the league at converting shots out of the post... so your first point is pretty off
Basically Boston isn’t hitting their open shots that they should be.
Also unrelated but consider they are a team whose identity was around team defense. Yet new rule changes continue to hurt defensive minded teams.
There is much more to Boston’s problems than what you have stated and the first point leads people to believe they are taking dumb shots when in reality the problem is they aren’t making their open ones.

Right now this is not a very well coached team. For a team with all that talent they have no reason to be a 500 team 20 games into the season. This one is on Brad, with his best roster yet he has failed to show why most people considered him a top 3 coach in the NBA the last few years. He needs to figure this out otherwise he'll find out that people will forget what you've done with just one bad season.

They had a bad offense last year before kyrie got hurt, they always struggled but it got a but better towards the end of the year when there defense picked up. They were young and quick. But with kyrie and gordon in the line up its messed everything up.

Can be useful sometimes, although I feel like the basic stats along with the "eye test" is enough.

It’s all attitude: you got the guys who stepped up as starters when Heyward/Irving came off the bench pouting. Irving and Heyward never had time to mesh and are post injury. Ainge should’ve pulled the trigger giving the Spurs what they wanted for Kawit

I believe you're wrong, mate. Why? A very good example to compare is Raptors. Here, Last season when Kyrie was injured, those players went out and did very well. Forcing a game 7. Now, Kyrie is back, those same players aren't performing well not because they are NOT good but because they depend too much on their superstar which is the same with the Raptors. When Kawhi is on the floor, the team is good but lower scores and barely winning and losing but they've been improving. However, when he's not on the floor and Raptors lost it was huge against the Bucks and same when they win, its huge. Both teams need to learn how to adjust and when their superstars are on the floor. Make does decisions you will make when your superstar isn't on the floor. Kyrie has played if I'm not mistaken every game. If you rest him, I bet the team will win huge.

Gordon Hayward isn't our problem, its our effort and our guards (besides Marcus Smart and at times Kyrie) not being able to guard anyone and letting them blow by. I think we have to make a quantity for quality trade and shed some of our greedy young players to get a leader.

Last years roster without Hayward and Irving is just excellent now that they're back makes the young guns adjust for this players.

Totally right. The biggest problems in this team are Tatum and Brown who have big ego's and think they are the shit after one good season. All they do is play iso. They don't pass the ball. They only care for their own stats and not for winning games. They need team players.

Boston Celtics have been in the 20s last 4 years as far as offensive efdiciency goes..so my theory is that Brad Stevans is a great defensive/xyz coach he is limited offesively

As a lifelong Laker fan I hate the Celtics, but I can see they have a really deep team. This seems to suck right now, but come playoff time, it should prove to be a big advantage as their second team should be able to to outgun other teams second groups in the East.

My favorite player is Hayward and seeing him kinda cause the Celtics to struggle is hard to watch but either one of two things is gonna happen he's gonna get back to full power and the Celtics will win the playoffs or Haywards gonna drag them down but now we just gotta watch and see if he'll be back to his old self.
