I've been drinking the corn Kool aid my whole life. We tend to have hopeless optimism here in Lincoln Nebraska. For the first off-season in my life, I was not expecting a national out of the '26 Huskers. Then here goes Josh Pate saying 11-1 against what could be the most difficult schedule in the country. I'm back in! '26 is our year! GBR!
He turned on the spring game and said "11-1" Guess he forgot to check the schedule. We play Indiana, Oregon, and Ohio State. I'm not saying we can't get a big upset win, but if we do get one it will be against Ohio State. I can personally guarantee you that Indiana and Oregon will blow us off the turf. That's at least 2 guaranteed losses right there and it won't be pretty. Curt Cignetti and Dan Lanning will not play nice. They'll keep the starters in and try to run up the score. Moving on, Illinois and Iowa still feel like a notch or two above us as well. Wins against those teams would be huge for us
As an Olemiss fan no one would think you were a hater if you didn’t doubt us 90 percent of the time. It’s always thinking our program is so much less than others. And maybe it is but you seem to have respect for lower organizations than us but tend to talk down on us. Third best program in the sec over the last 5 years statistically
@c@collinmooremagic6843it’s almost like rebuilding a bottom feeder sec team takes more than 2 years 😂😂😂😂he’s defense was reason ole miss lost games last year
Sorry Josh but I just can't see Nebraska going 11-1. Not with that schedule. Not with games against Indiana, Oregon AND Ohio State. I expect them to lose all 3 of those games and then drop at least 1 against either Washington, Illinois, or Iowa.
It’s that time of year where all college football pundits say this year Nebraska will be different to farm engagement. Then they go 6-6. Rinse and repeat.
Nebraska football is on a *prove it* contract. Spring game fave some good insight. Those coaches need to *DEVELOP* that team. The patience is gone. We gotta start seeing results. This year is as good as any... Godspeed
It it makes you feel any better, Those years in the ninety’s, the team that beat Florida for a national championship was the best team I’ve ever seen in college football. Been watching for 50 years and that was the best team Ive ever seen
I am not a fan of too many of those teams on this list by any means! But any of them I would be open seeing win it all over any Oregon Team. Nebraska has been a long time Rival to one of my main teams. So there fore! I don’t like the Nebraska Cornhuskers. But at the same time! Should they end up winning it all while Oregon gets nothing in return. I’ll be satisfied. Or even anyone else from a way better State I likely wouldn’t otherwise consider myself a fan of!
Nebraska hasn’t competed with Minnesota in over half a decade let alone the rest of the Big Ten but they have great fans so it’s profitable to slurp them (especially with a gambling partner). Actually pretty messed up knowing how much their fans buy into hype and bet overs, irresponsible here, Josh
Taking the over on Nebraska might not be a bad bet. Nebraska seems undervalued by the public, especially if we have playmakers and are playing good defense by the end of the season. That being said I don't think Vegas can get the spread high enough on the Indiana/Oregon games. Both Indiana and Oregon will be covering the spread by halftime against the Huskers
This will age well. Ole Miss will make the playoffs, compete in SEC championship, and make it to a title game. You're sleeping on one of the best teams in the nation talent wise. Any doubt on Pete Golding was erased in the playoffs. No way kiffin takes those points against georgia. With kiffin Ole Miss loses that game. With Pete we won.
This tells me there's NO red/blue kool aide within 500 miles of your house. ESPN SP+ rating for '26 just came out. SEVEN SEC teams in top 15. NONE were the om webels. If LSUs OC doesn't call the offense the runts LOSE to UGA. goldielocks D gave up 30+ to dawgs. Charlie Jr hung 30++. Most Kirby efense gave up al season.
Pate get your eyes checked! Anything over 7 wins for Nebraska is a hard sell let alone 10+ is outrageously delusional to say/predict!!!! Even if Rhule hire the greatest DC in the history college football and had the #1 defense on all the metrics. They are not going to go 10+ wins.... we don't have the Dana of yester years we have the old Dana that runs a milk toast offense that every team seems to be able to figure out its weak points and exploits them! Husker best case scenario is 8 wins worst case 3 wins probably end up at 6-6 at the end of 2026. With the Matt Rhule mediocrity continuing.........
I don’t believe so, the recruiting class will fall apart if he does. He will be here until at least the end of the 2027 season. Hopefully things turn around though
please don't jinx us with too much hype. NU fans are still crushed with how last season ended and we're cautiously optimistic. but we're not making any bold predictions, we wanna see it on the field in big 10 play. not the first tune-up games, that will not excite us. win in B1G play or.......remain silent. the fanbase is done talking, especially since we have a good basketball program now.
Yeah there's no way in hell Nebraska's winning more than six this year, I'm not drinking any of that Kool-Aid. Our defensive line is still atrocious, offensively we lack explosives, running back we are still way too young, what I've seen coming from most fans is an agreeable statement that is "they look like a Mac team" If you're looking for an underdog story this year don't bother with nebraska, we are not going to be good.
Really fishing for that Nebraska football fanbase engagement lol
We ain't buying it.
As a husker fan you don’t have to patronize us with another stupid prediction lol
🤡
@PrimeTimeVol87 😂
My mouth dropped when he said 11-1…How crazy of a prediction. He must’ve drank the whole Rhule Aid factory!
he does this for every team
@m@mcmmmmmmmight just like how he predicted every team to make the playoff last year (he did the huskers)

You've spent less time in the snow globe town of Oxford than Kenny Minchey at Nebraska
Cool. We get to see a clown nose later in the year with the Nebraska talk lmao

guess which head coach got your team there and where he is now👀
@yoc329wait what? No way? It’s almost like when Pete Golding got there we started contending for playoffs😅
@yoc329yeah, because it only takes 1 coach to win games. Clown
@collinmooremagic6843 NOT because of goldberg's defense. That's for sure. CLK guided his team into CFP and LSUs OC was responsible for the CFP wins.
@c@collinmooremagic6843it’s almost like rebuilding a bottom feeder sec team takes more than 2 years 😂😂😂😂he’s defense was reason ole miss lost games last year
I know we shouldn’t get too hyped off spring practice clips, but I’ve seen enough, Darian Heismensah campaign has officially begun🧡💚
I wish Nebraska would go 11-1 but it will not be this year. Maybe soon
If you don’t hate Oxford take a trip and do the speaker series
Sorry Josh but I just can't see Nebraska going 11-1. Not with that schedule. Not with games against Indiana, Oregon AND Ohio State. I expect them to lose all 3 of those games and then drop at least 1 against either Washington, Illinois, or Iowa.
I know I shouldn’t drink the Kool Aid again and yet again the Big Red is calling to me offseason natty incoming
Will Compton must have some kind of dirt on Josh cause lmao on Nebraska take

Josh Moore has the chance to be the 1st WR taken in 2028 over Toney. He's that good.
Unless Nebraska dramatically upgraded their D line, then the offense doesn't matter. D-line was 8th grade level. An average 8th grade team.
Where do you get your crack from? Pate State? Bruh there is no way we go 11-1
I can only pray for the day when these 25+ year old graduates aren't given 6+ years to play
Go vols
Go Canes
Chambliss is eligible, the ncaa just decided to bully chambliss even though he had a legit claim.

Pandering to husker fans gets you clicks! GBR! Vegas at 5.5 wins. 11-1 is laughable, but I love the optimism.

Matt Rhule will be fired after this season
I don’t believe so, the recruiting class will fall apart if he does. He will be here until at least the end of the 2027 season. Hopefully things turn around though
@brandon1775 Should we go 5-7, which could happen if we don't make any advancement (again), Rhule SHOULD be fired. I have lost my faith in Rhule.

Agree 100%. Done buying the Rhule Used Care Salesman routine. Time to shut the * up, start winning games... or pack your bags and go away.
josh please, nebraska has 0 hype for this season and deservedly so.
