I recently discovered the wedge system, before I used a vertical Cft, gave me many overheating problems, now I use a large plastic box, inside which, I apply the wedge system, I find it really much easier to manage.

awesome talk!! you definitely know what youre talking about. I know you were talking to kids but I wish you elaborated on what you exactly give to provide more of a fungal balanced worm compost. Now, I will have to google it instead ha ha!

What a cool school trip (I'm assuming that's what it was)! As I just started worm farming at home 4 months ago, I'm hoping more people learn about this. It's great to see yet another commercial scale farm. I have not seen this wedge method before, that's really cool. Thanks so much for sharing!

Probably a stupid question, but if u did this on soil I'm assuming alot of your worms will disappear? I don't own the land, so pouring a slab isn't an option for me. Any ideas. Thx.

Ours are on soil. The worms don’t burrow

It is a regular problem for us. We trap them as best we can.

@CatFishesCatfishingCatfish really, none. The birds eat a few, but not enough to worry about. Other than that, just rats.

Hopefully, sometimes in the last three years, the kid has figured out you were pulling his leg about the "pregnant worm."
