Hm, if I may butt in on this conversation. Sometimes I catch myself thinking: 'Man, Keaton* is just so good, he deserves way more attention!' But at the same time, I quite like being into music that's a bit less mainstream - call me a hipster, if you wish. It's almost like having my own little secret, you know? Especially songs that I can personally relate to. It just makes the whole experience that much more special. And like Teresa said, too much popularity can ruin an artist's individuality.

sad story time. Over summer break me and a friend got really close and we dated. one day, we went to the mall together and it was magical. they were a magical person, my nerdy musician. this was around the time twenty one pilots cover of this song was popular and as we left the mall in the car, they pulled out their ukulele and played this song to me, it was love we felt...love and pure joy. a few weeks layer they left, I was broken.
