I still don't understand why the soul-uplifting, trance-inducing effects of Indie music do not apply to all people. But then again, these underground tunes are more special because the few people who love them tend to be more deep and imaginative. Somehow, I feel really special to be a part of that crowd. Since I do not verbalize my feelings much, these tunes keep me pushing forward in life. #Shura
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

This is shaping up to be the album of the year, there is nothing that could top this (unless grimes were to release again, then shura may have some competition :))
This will be Pop AOTY. I can feel since I knew her last year.
There already are many amazing albums which came out this year, Not To Dissappear by Daughter, Lissie's Wild West, All I Need by Foxes, Synthia by The Jezabels, Camp Echo by Highasakite and finally Aurora's All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend. These all are very interesting and high quality records in my opinion, and even though I believe Shura's album will be great, I wouldn't say it will be the best, because there is actually a lot to compete.
I don't think Grimes will release anytime soon, the Art Angels took her long to craft and I think she will want to take some time to let the songs fly around for some time and play live shows with them.
As I see it, Shura's Make It Up is really beautiful song and I do love everything about it. What's It Gonna Be? is my a bit less favorite, it's great and very easygoing, but it lacks on some deeper levels. And I like Touch, but I do not personally like the new version feat. Talib. The original is much smoother and gentle and this just doesn't work to me. And I think this is the version which is gonna be on the album, right? I will wait to hear whole album, but I'm sure I will enjoy it anyway. I just wanted to say that there are many great albums around ^^
