I feel like not shooting as ball might just end up dealing bonus mental damage. Imagine how tilting it must be to be getting constantly booped and slammed and the hamster won't even shoot at you. They just smack you over and over again.

I love these sorts of challenges, I watched lhcloudy's Unranked2GM on Rein with no shield and I tried it out for a few games. It genuinely makes me play better when I have to consider if I'm using corners correctly. Might just give this a go to see if I can improve my movement on ball
It is bizarre hearing chasm being positive in voice chat or just taking in chat period. I couldn't imagine not shooting. Reflexively you just want to. I could even see you do that a few times too.
I also had an idea for this except in quickplay whenever I get bored. Everyone always says "But I have the most damage" but I thought how much more useful positioning, distracting, and stalling could be. So I picked ball and just would try to distract as much as possible and do stuff without shooting. Just to prove that positioning and distracting the enemy is more valuable than shooting sometimes.
Yeah, there has been a few times in Plat, where i'm literally just rolling between cover in front of their spawn, booping and slamming at random, and they focus everything on me and lose the point. Would probably work less higher up, but i imagine a ball better than me would probably be able to outright kill, or force 3 people to deal with you to defend supports. Still makes it an easy fight for your team. But nah, your team won't see that "Can we get a tank pls?" lmao

I am a GM high roller and I just realized how convenient it is to not have a headshot box when you are in the heart of the adversary. And not shot at all helped me to do more tanking when the team is getting rolled. You just cleared a path for me bro.
