I have tried steaks from those cooked by my chef friend at home to Mad Mark's 399 peso steak to more expensive ones at Mamou and Las Flores. You can def taste the quality difference however tbh the taste isnt THAT different to be worth 10x++ the price. I will say it is around 2x-3x tastier than a cheap steak but obvious the price mark up doesnt make it worth it. So for a solo eater yeah I'd agree with Paps you dont have to spend 5k+ on a single steak, you can already go to Spiral and have the best buffet in the country for that price (also includes steak). However these restos arent really for getting value for money they are mostly date places where you bring your SO to have a good time. It's like an Iphone or a Star Bucks you generally spend more money as an image boost and to make your SO feel special.
This is a very fair comment. There is indeed quantitative as well as qualitative differences between various steak offerings of different restaurants. But too often, the price increase from various levels of steak quality, is not justified. This comment is far more incisive than the rather naive video of Paps which is absolutely bereft of nuance.

PHL is not known to have big Cow farms. Chances are, your steak came from NZ or AUS. You need to specify the type of steak you are talking about. Is it wagyu or angus? What type of cut?sirloin, t bone, rib eye, NY? They could be cooking you an old frozen steak without you knowing for 6500P.
