Nullifier basically doesn't work against the buffs/effects that you'd really want to nullify. E.g. Lycan or DK transform, Alch and Muerta ult, stuff like that can't be dispelled, by nullifier or anything else. It's best to buy against: Force Staff, Glimmer Cape, and hero-specific escapes (Pugna and Necro decrep) and smaller buffs (Sven's Warcry armor and Ursa's faster attacks are what Gorc was mainly trying to dispel this game).
