I have the regular Hiby R6 and there's a toggle in the display settings to make the hiby music app be on full screen, which disables the bottom android navigation buttons while in the app and lets it fit more in the screen
Z, no the R6P outputs 750mW @32ohms balanced. It’s the most powerful amp section of any of the Hiby DAPs and puts out more power than most of the DAPs out there. The main reason I chose this over the Fiio M series DAPs.
I have the r6 pro in aluminum and I really like it. The aluminum version takes care of the weight and for $550 it's hard to beat. Added a skin to the back to cover up the fingerprint issue and now I also feel comfortable sitting it down on hard surfaces. Used the rubber grip skin/dragon skin from Amazon. Very nice player.
The Hiby web site gives a single weight of 285g. Do you know which version this is for and what the weight of the other version is. My Samsung tablet weighs about 285g but it's heavy to carry around.

I couldn't return the Hiby R6 gen 3 fast enough! The unit wouldn't charge for shit (multiple chargers and laptop, SD Card (tried my own Sandisk 256gb 100 mg\b transfer and 2 new ones at bestbuy didn't work for shit could barely format? no migrate or attach to main memory (extend) and unit, especially the volume wheel felt like it was going to come loose and fall off the unit! It did sound good but had some distortion on high gain. thanks for the review in their other unit.
Well one thing Z Never mentioned is how often the HiBy Music players crashes on this device. Does he load much music on the devices and uses them for more than a few hours? Gave up on the device after kept seeing the ‘multiple crash warnings’ this app will close. It’s now been returned.
Just received my second unit and it bricked after setup, stuck at loading screen permanently. Hardwear problem with the first unit, the sd card tray would not come out. Buy this product at your own discretion.
I agree..actually got two of the R5. Both, in a row I ordered, had complete fried circuits and batteries. 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ I'm done with limpey players (my new name for them; because they come limp as a biscuit, and mostly dead on arrival). Clearly, they gave Zeos, a grade A inspected for reviews, units. Ours, on the other hand? Surely, quality control is a super severe issue, with them. There's several reviews on Amazon now. I went with bucking up and getting the M11 pro (which still debate should've went original M11, some, but like the pro), being the M15 wasn't in stock, at the time I wanted one. Fiio's hardware is miles better, along with adding Google play services via firmware, which I got immediately and have all the apps I want now and I know nothing of pre-Google play services Fiio player life; and they added it to all 3 units (including M11 OG)!? Has made their players well worth it and IMHO, the best buys on the market. Fiio's M6 and M9, albeit some slower dated tech, and few software bugs; beats the hardware on these, based on quality control, you ask me. Rant done 😂. My bad. And luv Zeos, but had just noticed at the end of this he says the opposite, that these are better. Not now, with the Google play services legit added to all their/Fiio's best 3 players. If I go different brand, I'll try ibasso or Cayin. Sad too. I Wanted to like Hiby, they let me down. 😞

Hey have you thought of looking at an LG V30? It's a bit of an old phone bit it still has the same Quad DAC they use nowadays and is much less expensive. It would be nice to see how it compares to dedicated DAPs.
That's what I did... got a brand new unit (128GB version) for $174 a couple of months back to go along with my other budget phone & 2x CoWoN PD from 8 months ago [those were on sale for $100 each!] 🤓 I also stocked up on 2 dozen microSD cards worth 5TB of storage [128/256GB mainly].
Since Hiby is manufactured in China is it safe to use on my computer or home network? That is a concern about purchasing a Hiby product in the coming month.

I have a Samsung Tab S2 tablet which I use when traveling. Unfortunately, it has terrible sound quality (both speakers and headphones). If I bought a Hiby R6 Pro for music, could I use it as a dac/amp to improve the sound from the Samsung when playing movies or RUclips videos. The Samsung has a 3.5mm headphone socket.

I have modded them afterwards, however my amp is too weak but I have been lazy with buying a better amp/dac, until now. Do you recommend one for me that's fairly priced? B&O H6 need burn in imo and you should replace the cable. I might have been my pair but the first gen cable had such high resistance that when i replaced it the headphones were 30% louder on my s10e phone.
Picked on up for 35 bucks got off Bart and a kid was like you wanna buy this why yes I do;) also threw in a gram of weed I had on me to sweeten the deal
It generally just indicates that it's a product which is optimized with an objective approach. Transparency, neutrality and accuracy rather than subjectively pleasing colorations and musical finesse.

The wife will kill me if I spend anymore money, so I’m looking at some more budget headphones / IEM’s. So far CCA C12’s and Blon 03’s are what I’m looking at. No idea on over ears for this unit yet. Sounds like the hiby R5 is the best choice,Zeos gave reasons why you should upgrade from the r3 pro it has more power (than the r3 and r6), then from the 5 to 6 it was more like ,oh yeah it's pretty upgrade. The DAC chip alone isn't a big enough change. Everything AROUND that chip is what makes the difference. You also didn't say anything about the amp. Which is superior in this unit.

Correct, the R5 'only' outputs 564mW @ 32ohm. R6 Pro is quite a bit more powerful.

U can use it as dac or amp, when it play a role as a dac, u should buy a type c to type c OTG cable

If you haven't made them balanced, the Magni 3+ is probably best bang per buck. Its just an amp so you would still need a dac.

They do get warn. High gain on most high end devices does that.
