Bro, you've just shaken me. For the time since I figured out my missing ingredients were tied to gather rare account items, I turned over every gathering spot yet I still had missing ingredients. I always wondered what the flourishing gathering points meant, I thought it just meant more gather points were active and/or that the rare items would show. I had noooooooo idea there were super rare items.

It's really not. If you don't care about getting it right away, you can just wait to see it in an expedition. If you want to get it right away, there's a high chance you have it on at least one of your Investigations. Most investigations have a static condition that won't change no matter how many times you do it (until it runs out).
I would also like to point out for the newer players that the difference between insurance and safeguard is that you can infinitely stack insurance as far as I am aware. Safeguard is a one and done. I once got through a AT KT fight with a stack that carted 6 times thanks to insurance.
If you have a glider mantle you can jump off the ledge and look up to grab onto the wedge beetle, its riskier but faster to get up, the glider mantle is just to make it easier as its a small window to grab onto the beetle

You are a true hunter that knows what this franchise offers, killing monsters is just half of the experience and you focus your videos on the other tasty side of the game. Gaijin do you happen to know if the new even quests offer anything other than just multiple ways to get extra HR/MR points? Last time the Rotting Vale one gave a 100% encounter rate on the gecko. There's a new one but I'm unsure if that has a 100% encounter on any endemic life either.
For now capcom is giving us cheapo event quests things will pick up after rajang since they have another horizon zero dawn event in the roadmap i think that means hopefully master rank dante and behemoth and witcher gear and maybe with the new moveset for longsword we get Vergil.
I've had pretty good luck getting the rare butterbur in the first few areas, I think I got it during the event quest, just throw on a geologist charm and go at it

I wonder if any of Gaijins followers can answer what rewards of gained from completing the arena Completing the First five arenas (No Zinogre) Gives you - Acrobat Earings 2/2/1 slots with safe landing skill (Allows you to quickly recover from heavy attacks when you have your weapon unsheathed) All 'A' Ranks - ? All Weps- ? Zinogre into the mix? I can't find random person willing to go through all weps/get A ranks etc, so only occasionally find arena rooms.

Try this: Set up your radial menu and your current armorset in the Item Box, then save it in one of the slots with triangle button (Ps4) or Y-Button (Xbox)
Honestly, I'll just stick with the chef's meal. This is still too hard to follow and complicated by being vague trying figure out what's best for this or that monster.
Only a few things to consider: 1. Is the monster strong enough to kill you often? Use felyne safeguard for extra carts. 2. Does the monster have elemental blights? If so, wear armor that gives you at least 5 resist to that monster's element and eat all vegetables for +15 element resist to get you to at least 20 ele resist. 20 element resist gives you immunity to that type of blight and some elemental dmg reduction. You can choose between all blue for felyne moxie (survive with 1 hp if a hit would kill you otherwise) or all red for attack up (Large) which makes you much stronger. 3. Do you need max HP and max stamina? Then eat chef's platter for that, but you can also achieve this effect by eating a max potion and the EZ rations in the quest item box. If you also have a gourmet voucher, then it makes EVERY meal max out your hp and stamina. PS. vouchers guarantee your felyne food skills while gourmet voucher guarantees that AND gives you max hp and stamina. Also, if you use a voucher in town, then everyone who is in town in your online session gets their meals paid for as well. Really useful when doing siege hunts like Kulve Taroth and Safi`Jiiva

The butterbur is actually primarily found in the southwest areas of hoarfrost, no need to climb the mountain.
Apart from the special one.
I got the butterburs from an optional quest where you had to collect 20 of them and they where in area 1 but climbing up that mountain looks fun
I didn't even expected, you can go up on the mountain. xD The parcours part looks fun!
