You are right. You don't need to speak in tongues to give a word of knowledge. This happened to me when a word was given to me from someone who was not a Christian. This person knew me, but it was as if she spoke right through me with words about myself that I didn’t know. Something I needed to hear as I was going through an extremely difficult situation. She spoke to me about who I was, but the insight was beyond either one of us.
