I bullet journal/Scrapbook. Though it's become more of a scrapbook/journal if I'm honest. I had the Canon ivy and I bought two different ones and they both died within like 6 maybe 8 months. I was looking into the Selphy. Glad I found this review I will definitely put this one on my wish list instead. ☺️
It's not the same technology as a zink paper printer. In zink the ink is in the paper. This has a cartridge with full size sheets of magenta etc dye. Which is why print quality is amazing
Oh Chris, you made me want this printer so bad, but I found out that there are some problems here in italy (and Europe)... 1: the paper and ink availability is discontinuous, ( I wasn't able to find it on sept and oct, now it is back again). 2: the cost per paper is considerably higher than the canon selphy. On the other hand, the new canon selphy 1500 seems to have a lot of problem with white balance. What a drama!
I dig it, I have dye sub prints of computer drawings I did in the 90s that are still vibrant!!! It's an awesome print technology. will definitely put it on my want list!!!
I decided to buy this photo printer as a Teacher's day appreciation gift for MYSELF 😂. My only concern is the paper and cartridge replacement, because I live in Panama and it is not easy or cheap to bring things I buy in Amazon and that the paper and cartridge are sold together. I would like to buy the paper at my local store and the cartridges through amazon. Is there any other compatible cartridge?
Heyy, i'm very tempted with these printers but i cannot wrap my head around the fact it needs cartridges, why tho?? If all the tiny ones, pocket ones, just need the paper, is there any big 4x6 one that doesn't need the cartridges?
Because those tiny ones are a different type. It’s called ZINK and doesn’t produce very good pictures. This is a different way to print photos which is much better quality images
If I use a Canon R5 to take a pic, which is automatically sent to my iPad, can I then print that photo easily from the iPad? Need a 4x6 printer for a Christmas Kids photo shoot.
Thanks! Also, is it true that the M200 European version is kind of different than the US version other than the voltage. There has been report saying that it works fine with USB printing but if you use the APP it will ask you for a regional code? @@JustAnotherChris
So do you have to have WiFi to print from phone or will it work with the cord you mentioned to print looking at this for my daughter to use to print pictures from her phone if her daughter and she has no computer or WiFi
When you buy paper, it comes with a cartridge but it’s not ink. We use the term ink loosely to best describe the process. But this is process called dye sublimation. It heats up different colored layers of film onto paper.
Nice review thanks! This printer looks really nice and printing great looking photos! If i hadn’t already have my canon selphy cp1300 i would have consider buying it. Would be great to compare the colour accuracy of both 🙂
Seconding the cp1300. Cheap paper, optional battery, USB and SD readers. The only thing I wish is that they made these into a more compact setup. TheQX10 is nice but we’re at the mercy of stupid mobile apps or optional Wi-Fi on the camera or dedicated desktop apps. I wish these muppets would add USB support to more printers. A4 would be super dope, too. The cripple hammer is real.
The printer works fine with my desktop. When I try to set up the app it requires a region code. It will not maintain the region. Has anyone reached out to you about this issue? Thank you. P.S. I have an Android phone.
@@JustAnotherChris thank you for replying so quickly i will subscribe you. Marking purpose I am not sure what does that mean? Also, I have a shop where i sell lockets so people come asking me do i print photo for small locket which comes in small cricle, oval. Can i adjust the size of an image in this printer application. Because there is site where i can easily shape a photo but idk if i can use that site to export the photo to this printer? I know its lot of questions but i want to buy it soon and i have doubts
Please add a comparison against the Canon Selphy! Despite being quite old, the Selphy is probably easily the best selling and top rated instant printer for 4x6 photos, and Im genuinely curious how it compares to this due to its age and review complaints about the Selphy not being too easy to use.
I like this product but I wish they had made this so you don't need a phone to use it. I have a few digital cameras that I like to pick up old lenses for and play around with, this would be awesome if it would hook up to an SD card. Or will this work through my laptop?
@@JustAnotherChris I ordered directly off their site, but yes they use Amazon. Regardless they should have a better means for quicker shipping. They replied in an email with in 24 hrs assuring my order would go out that day and it never did. 2 days later (7 total) I finally received tracking only to be disappointed that only the extra paper I ordered shipped and not the actual printer. So how I’m on 8 days still waiting for the printer to ship and has hopeful plans to use it this weekend…
hey! i got this printer as a christmas present and i was wondering if theres ANY way at all for me to use different 4x6 printing paper? i'd like to make stickers but im not sure if it'll break it
@@JustAnotherChris Extremely convenient: Different from traditional inkjet tanks, one color cartridge contains 3 specific dye films, you would not get your stuff into mess or stains. Dude holy balls!! I just got this little printer and OMG it prints so well!!! thanks for the great video!
That’s good to hear!!
I’m so glad I found this video before buying another kind I had my eyes on, great video. Right to the POINT! ❤
Glad it helped!

This is very similar to Canons Selphy printer. But the colors looks better on this one!
Agree!
Can you make videos about the polaroid 1000?
The hi-print quality is bad. I ordered a replacement and returned both printers to Amazon. I want to try Liene or Canon CP1300
Buying this! Thanks!
You won’t regret it!
Are the photos really 4 x 6 so they will fit standard photo frame greeting cards?

You can only buy this type of paper with cartridges. Thats the same with all brands that make this type of printer.
@@JustAnotherChris Thank you for giving me a quick answer 😅 I was not expecting that. Well, now I know. Thanks
@lilianaaparicio4736 of course now you know!
can i resize the photo like if i want a clor photo for my locket necklace???? and which printiing paper should i use

Just bought one!

I thought it was inkless, it talks about cartridges but I think it's the box with paper that attaches onto it? I am confused
It uses a dye ribbon. You have to buy ribbons and paper bundled together.
In Canada your link is weirdly working
If I use a Canon R5 to take a pic, which is automatically sent to my iPad, can I then print that photo easily from the iPad? Need a 4x6 printer for a Christmas Kids photo shoot.
Yeah that should work out just fine
Nice review ! can you do a comparison between this printer and canon selphy cp1300, so hard to decide😰
I do have a comparison video coming soon on 2 other printers however it’s not the canon
Could you please give me a list of all similar printers that uses sticker paper?
None unfortunately
Can you use Canon Selphy ink and paper on Liene printer?
sadly no you can not

Hello,
how many photos can we print for one cartridge please?
If you buy a 40 pack you can print 40
Can you use normal photo paper (I have found a bundle at the charity shop) or do you need specific photo paper?
No you need special paper.
So do you have to have WiFi to print from phone or will it work with the cord you mentioned to print looking at this for my daughter to use to print pictures from her phone if her daughter and she has no computer or WiFi
The printer provides its own Wi-Fi signal to connect to
Do this prints via blue thooth?
Wi fi
You still to buy a ink cartridge for this printer

It uses a dye ribbon. I don't know why RUclipsrs insist on calling it ink.

How does it compare to the canon selphy?
I have done a video on that. Consider checking it out.
@@JustAnotherChris what’s it called?? I couldn’t find it
Does this work with regular photo paper?
No it’s special paper. This isn’t a ink jet printer it doesn’t use ink.

Hey Chris, what’s the estimate cost of one photo with the ink and paper?
I think it’s like .50 or so per print
$1 dollar per print. The ink is just for 20 pictures
You might want to re check your math
From where we can get photo paper of it? Or we can use common photo paper for it
It uses special paper. You can get it on Amazon. I left links in the description.
It doesn't exist on Amazon kotak printer comes
Looks pretty decent. I chose the Canon Selphy 1300 over this because, well, its a Canon. Never even heard of Liene?
when i check the link you provided the item on amazon say it comes with ink ink cartridge and you said its inkless?
It’s inkless. They must say it for marking purposes.

It doesn’t use ink. It has a cartridge yes which is uses color plastic film to make the images.

As it should. It doesn’t provide internet 😅

Photo printer is offline
Right it puts out a WIFI signal to connect (your settings will say no internet) just go back to the app and start printing
The app is saying: printer is offline
My printer is out for delivery 🚚
