I think there is a 3rd bolt on the bottom right of the alternator. At least there is on my 2008 RX350. You cannot easily get to it directly, but it is attached to a curved bracket which attaches to the vehicle. You can remove that bracket with a 12MM with a long extension. But even after doing that, you have to remove a wire clip that is attached to the back of the bracket. The clip is not easy to remove with the alternator in the way. So I first removed the 12MM bolt holding the bracket to the vehicle. Then I was able to angle the right side of the alternator toward me to remove the bolt holding the alternator to the bracket. Then I was able to remove the alternator. After that, I removed the wire clip from the bracket. I really don't think the bracket and 3rd bolt are necessary, so I did not reinstall them. The 2 other bolts secure the alternator well enough.
