This match was insane man, holy heck! Glad to see you're well on your way to play-offs! Despite the rough start, I'm pretty certain you now have the best standing of all the teams I've been rooting for/following closely this season and that's awesome! I'm glad I believed in you. ❤
great game! something I noticed is that all you needed was chip on swampert and you could've ended it with revaroom alot earlier if you kept attacking it and sack mons to allow revaroom to clean up. sometimes it's not about keeping things alive if you notice that only one thing is in the way of your sweeper :) what a nailbiter of a game though! good stuff
Yeah I didn’t realize Rev could clean up. I was thinking about Mienshao cleaning up after Comfey and Swampert were gone, which is what I was trying to position Revavroom to do LOL
Lets go another HoodlumCallum win i was in suspense during the whole battle i thought you were gonna lose after Sylveon and Tsareena fainted but when i saw that you were doing chip damage on Swampert and he had 2 pokemon on very low HP i feel like you could somehow win with a Revavroom or Skeledirge sweep. Nexus is such a smart battler im not surprise yall went to ingame timer.
this was a fantastic battle to watch through, all the turn-by-turn thinking and analysis was super entertaining, and you definitely deserved that hard-fought comeback 🙏 also I think it's kinda funny how most of the draft league videos are in ALL CAPS but then last week's is just "Skeledirge Has a Secret" like he's trying to be sneaky and whisper to you

Post battle reply: God damn, I didn't expect that huge comeback. I didn't think it was over, but it was tough to make a comeback. Yet you managed to make the impossible possible. Your car is insane.
Oh come off it, this isn't a stall team and he wasn't playing for timer at all. Was just a very switchy battle with bulky teams on both sides. Check the times for both sides, Cal had more times left than Nexus mate! Not a single move was to stall time, only to make sure his pokemon stayed alive to take hits as required. Didn't run toxic on anything etc. Went to timer because it was close af and really well played by both players!
@tomashogberg8514 My bad Bro the language I used was incorrect It felt like a stalled game simply because of all the healing and protects going off in singles matches it's generally a doubles tactic. The match didn't feel dynamic at all it felt like a match of pokemon been lvl 5 lol is all I ment. But again I used improper way of describing it.
I ain’t gonna lie I hate watching stall. Loved the last few weeks but this was just long and annoying to watch man. I understand you wanna win but stalling till timer is cheap.
Been waiting for a comment like this. I didn't stall the timer intentionally. I had a bulky team. The purpose of the battle wasn't to stall. Not once did I mention that in my team preview and when I told my front office the battle went to timer they were shocked. I needed bulky Pokemon to live certain hits. If you look at our personal timers Nexus was literally taking longer to make his moves than me for the first half of the match. Idk how you got the vibe that the strategy was to stall the timer but you and a lot of other viewers misunderstood entirely.
Additionally if timer stall was my plan I wouldn’t have been sacking pokemon off to position myself better. I didn’t even notice the amount of time that had passed until the game said 2 minutes remaining. But sure, accuse me of timer stalling when the way I was playing wasn’t for that at all but in actuality was to just keep my pokemon alive lol

Opposite trajectory. Nexus started well in draft league and our boy here started bad getting in his own head and is now winning a lot
They still both played well, nexus has had some unfortunate luck in the last few draft seasons as a viewer of both cal and nexus
