Ooh this video is interesting, one could say the Indominus Rex was one of the most dangerous unsubs (Unknown Subject) in the JP/JW Cinematic Universe, not only was she out to kill, but had killed her victims as if it were a form of sport, and to mention she also had raptor based intelligence and the size of a T-Rex or bigger, which is what truly made her so dangerous to those around her, humans or other dinos. The I-Rex was basically a psychopath in Dino form, she had zero remorse for her victims and seemed to toy with them, kinda like what happened when Owen and JW Employees went into her paddock, she intentionally lured them there, making them believe she had escaped. That alone shows how intelligent the I-Rex is and thus making her a true killing machine and a violent one too.
@JurassicHero 3 Wow, I actually forgot about the antisocial behavior thing, thank you for pointing that out for me, I really didn't double check her personality and behavioral patterns, then again it has been a long time since I last saw this movie, maybe I should watch it again at some point this week.
Stuart Van Der Merwe she’s worse than the Indoraptor who had a smaller body count and was abused by the guards and killed for food and because he was made to do so.
Actually you can argue that the Indominus Rex is actually a very, very, VERY tragic animal. It had no social interaction, was treated like a monster from basically the start and was made for the sole reason of making money. From her body language and reaching out to Owen's Raptors, and later Rexy, it shows she was desperately trying to get SOME social interaction after a lifetime of isolation. Even her last stand, where she's snapping and roaring can probably be argued that she was going 'ALRIGHT ALRIGHT I'LL LEAVE!' before she got chomped on by the Mosasaurus.
She and her brother could be well, over-sized intelligent pack hunter suitable for deadlier mission; in which case the conventional 'Blue n D Squad' could not handle. That's what I thought
Ghe reason about why he ate her sibiling is the combination of isolation, not proper care and probably not enough food given. If we combine this with Majungasaurus DNA, then I would not be surprised
@@primrosevale1995 I had thought more likely regular animal siblicide/fratricide. Usually motivated by competing resources. And if consumed it strengthens the victor, by having a surplus of fuel of resource for growth. One of my favorite throw-away lines in any script.

Very good, Klayton. And yes, speaking as an actual employee at a zoo (a wildlife park more specifically), how you treat and take care of animals will greatly influence how they treat you and others. If any of you have any questions about reptiles or birds and what goes into taking care of them, I'd be happy to tell you what I know

Wu: Bigger Scarier, Cooler I believe is the word you used in your memo. You cannot have an animal with exaggerated predator features without the corresponding behavioral traits."
Corresponding behavioral traits that the people tasked at caring for said animal could have really benefitted from knowing. As much as Wu danced around the issue, his neglect nonetheless had once again cost human lives.
@@StefanVeenstra 1: he didn't have to take the job. It would have been very easy for him to say, 'No, I won't make your theme park monsters. @@StefanVeenstra No, Wu was being a greedy asshole. If he knew that the Indominus Rex would be such a problem, which he did, he would've told Masrani that creating a monster like that would be a mistake. But he didn’t.
I kind of want to see what would’ve happened if Owen Grady had been in charge of the Raptors in the original Jurassic Park while Robert Muldoon was the overall game keeper. Granted; Grady would’ve likely been a child at the time but let’s just pretend that somehow him and blue along with Claire all somehow fell into a time warp and ended up in the original park just weeks before the original raptors were born.
I don’t think it’s fair at all to compare to the two. Especially when both exhibited different levels of respect for these animals. Muldoon was an African game warden in charge of a whole new group of animals literally no one had studied prior, yet he still had a great amount of respect for them. To the point where he knew the danger level they presented and was openly adamant against his boss keeping them around. Owen was someone who was introduced AFTER the failure of the first park and had the knowledge of what came before in order to rectify past mistakes. Both men are equal, just in vastly different ways.
And that's not something good to her. Some real life hybrids like ligers often have some mental issues because of their parents's instinct who are different.A liger often doesn't know how to live because it's father lives in group but it's mother lives alone.
Great video of how monstrous the Indominus Rex was from Jurassic World. I absolutely love the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World, she’s not only the best dinosaur villains ever but the best movie villains ever in 2015. The Indominus Rex is basically Thanos from Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame and One Eye the Tyrannosaurus Rex from Speckles the Tarbosaurus because how intimidating the character was. I highly agree everything you said about the Indominus in this video.

I love one of Simon Masrani's lines that showed his arrogance similar to John Hammond when he said "I like her spirit" as a reply to Claire saying she tried to break the glass.
DUDE!!! I've always wondered about that since the film came out, whether it was abused at a young age or that it said enough is enough and wanted to get even with the humans at the park to show them whose boss.
I love your content I can never get enough I always rewatch old vids just cuz I enjoy the content I also started listening to the audio book for Jurassic park thanks to you 🙏
Hey Klayton great video! I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I work in the zoo field and spent the last 4 years working and studying with wild animals. As such I have seen this exact thing play out with modern animals. Animals that are not allowed to interact with their own species or even similar species lack proper social behaviours and tend to be more dangerous. I've seen two different crocodilians act completely different based on how they were raised. One was raised along with it's own species, recieved training from it's keepers, and as a result was easier to work with. The other was deprived of nearly all interaction and was kept isolated. As such it was aggressive and much more dangerous. While yes wild animals will always be wild, building proper relationships with the animals under your care is much better. Just recently a tiger attacked a keeper, but through the training they did with the animal other keepers were able to safely get the tiger to walk away and the other keeper survived. Ray Arnold said "we have all the issues of a major theme park and zoo". In Jurassic world they solved the theme park issues but acted more like zoos of the previous centuries. There were a number of ways they could have fixed things if the company had only remembered these were animals not machines.
Something random for ya... if you go back and watch the lost world.... the scene just before Roland talks about a man climbing Everest, Dieter is walking behind Nick Van Owen.... if you look at Dieters shoulders there’s a flashlight on each side.... I never noticed in my 20+ years watching, but those flashlights follow Dieters head movements! At first, I thought it was moving with his body but there’s one moment his body is looking one way, his head the other but the flashlights followed his head.... I know that’s random but I found it nice that after so many years, I can’t still notice new details I missed before! Stay safe man, thanks for the new video!! :)
I actually like the new movies. They don't have the magic of the first two, but the attention to detail and effort that shines through from the individual departments get me.
You’re analysis of this movie exploring humanity’s relationship with animals and the ways in which it builds off of what was presented in the 1993 original was pretty neat, Klayton! It gives me yet another reason to enjoy Jurassic World (which ranks as my second favorite installment of the movie series, behind the OG Jurassic Park)!
Same thing can happen to any animal, even humans. Socialization is a major factor in the functionality of humans, animals and, well, dinosaurs, and without the interaction and learning of proper behavior or action from others of the same species, an isolated individual can go mad due to the loneliness. Not only that, but small living spaces can instate claustrophobia and insanity on an individual, and in the case of the IRex, isolation and very poor living conditions contributed to the creation of a brutal and unforgiving "monster". Just like with the original raptors, poor living conditions coupled with isolation (not really in the raptors case) turned what could have been a happy and unique dinosaur into a giant insane prisoner, who sought an opportunity to escape and tested its abilities and potential on the humans and dinosaurs of Isla Nublar. It had nothing to do with genetics. "I'm telling you, monsters aren't born, they're made." - C.J. Roberts
I love the Indominus Rex, I don't know why, but she is just so cute and adorable, so beautiful and... I just love her ! And I also feel bad for her... she seems, to me, confused and helpless, she was mistreated and doesn't know hat she is.
Most likely they would be separated and would possibly be like the concept art of Fallen Kingdom which it was originally going to be 2 Indoraptors. 1 black and 1 white same with Indominus only opposite colours.
This was excellent. Maybe my favorite of your videos. Awesome insight. I'll add how scary I felt the scene with Owen trapped under the truck during the breakout upon seeing it in theaters.
This is very true because I've got a cat that got tormented when it was young and it was affected kinda badly when we first got him but we took care of him well and learned his nature to understand him more therefore making him a very nice cat today
Man you should be the one fan in the new Jurassic World movie Klayton, you've earned it by continuing the universe alive outside of its projects, thank you for all your work!
When Owen said about the raptors born with each other so they learnt to socialise with each other So did the indominus but she killed her sibling which shows she wants to be on her own and not with other of her species
Even The Big One was know to kill other Raptors, so nope. It was the lack of space and proper care that caused all, wich combined with Majungasaurus DNA led to kill and eat the sibiling
Don't forget that he was present during their hatchling months/years and onward. He was able to supervise the four like how the parent raptors probably did.
He said he imprints onto the raptors when they are born. It made me think "I wonder how large an indominus rex egg is? And how large an infant imprinting rex would be as well." I imagine a raptor playfully bowling you over the moment u enter the cage and its taller than you...
Not necessarily. Many large animals still lay eggs/have babies that are relatively small compared to the adults. I mean just look at an adult tortoise compared to a hatchling, or even caimans. Though most animals grow at a *much* faster than humans
Well, according to some studies I've found, there hasn't been an egg any larger than an ostrich egg, considering the structure and pores required to keep the egg alive. That's the best idea I can come up with for the Indominus Rex hatchling.
Yes, Klayton Animals can become monsters if not taken care of properly. its why the raptors (JP1) and indominus are blood thirty monsters. The Spinosaurus was the same, being bred, tested and experimented on for 9 months. it's why it was so determined to hunt Grant and the group around the island, it remembers what the last humans did to it. now i think about it, the Spinosaurus was like the Dinosaur version of Koba from the latest planet of the apes movie.
@Klayton Fioriti I think I know why the ACU gunner couldn’t hit the I-Rex in the aviary scene and its very simple that the Gunner on the helicopter wasn’t able to hit the Indominus because it was running in a thick tree line at a very fast pace. And because Masrani (who only recently got his pilots license) didn’t know how to fly a helicopter in a combat situation. Now as for why the Indominus was able to survive the blast from a rocket launcher I’d say it’s either due to plot armor or because (and this may be a stretch) it’s built like a tyrant from the resident evil games.
I definitely agree. It's something I've also had in mind for a while. I think the same could be said of the Indoraptor, and possibly the Spinosaurus as well.
Yeah, but you should have way more empathy for the spino and Indorapter. Both were abused and used as experiments, but not the indominus. That abomination literally ate it's own sibling and hunted for sports. Sorry, but the only animal trait or basically any animal that would do that is humans themselves. Even we should have more empathy with Indorapter and it's a male too. It didn't hunt for sports, when he saw a pure and innocent girl, he didn't try to kill her, but was instead just curious.
The Indominus Rex is sort of a parallel to "The Big One" in a few ways: 1. The secluded walled-off pen that was too small. 2. Fed only by a crane lowering food into the pen from above. 3. Killing their sibling/s in their cramped space. 4. Turned out being overall murderous psychos. Indominus was like a bigger "Big one", just like the Indoraptor was a smaller I-Rex (except the Indoraptor was made specifically to kill, and somehow still turned out to be TOO psycho).
The Indominus Rex is the biggest baddest dinosaur in the Jurassic World franchise. There's no denying the fact that it was monstrous genetic freak that caused destruction & chaos everywhere it went!
And the way it’s caretakers were denied information about it’s abilities was the reason why it eventually got out. Almost makes you wonder where Wu’s loyalties truly were and whether the Indominus was meant to do what it did, as if it was a Trojan horse to take out Masrani Global through a PR disaster.
This one in particular talking about an animal mental health is awesome since people do need to remember that animals need proper care & attention along with being properly understanding on how a animal may/may not behaviors & treat said animal with respect.
I never clicked onto this, but you're right. The situation with the Raptors in JP and the Indominus is literally exactly the same. Both were moved to a small, cramped enclosure after attacking the feeders, both only had a positive connection with the crane that provided them food, and both became monsters because of this mistreatment. Amazing how they made literally the exact same mistakes.
@Klayton Fioriti this video perfectly explains why I think the Hybrids work well with the Jurassic Park franchise there unpredictable and physiologically mess with all humans greatest fear the fear of the unknown.
What is this? Why am I being reminded of all the fanfics i've left unfinished? I actually had an AU story called "A Second Chance" that I never published where JW reopens, and another Indominous is hatched, but Owen is put in charge of it from the moment of hatching. I guess I'm gonna have to give that story a second chance now too.
I LOVE this video! This is one of the primary reasons I like Jurassic World. Could you do a similar video on the JP3 Spinosaurs consistant aggressive behavior and the Indoraptor as well? The latter I think having been in an even worse state than the Indominus was. Beaten, not properly fed and locked in a cage in a dark room.
Spinosaurus vs T-Rex is along the same lines as Lion vs. Alligator. Specified apex predators with explicitly different physical builds. But hey, the spino on Sorna isn't a full spino, and is arguably one of the first hybrids that Wu and Crew fucked around with during their little trist after the Nublar Park Incident.
@@zachsmart8663 that all maybe true but he means the actual animals, and as far as I'm concerned lions and tigers are the same thing spinosaurus is skinny and a fish eater so its use to killing smaller slippery prey and Tyrannosaurus hunts living tanks like anklosaurs, spinosaurus spending most of it's time in water most likely never attacked anything bigger than an oranosaurs. If it was gigantosaurus vs t rex that's more realistic.
I hav question about the Raptors I know the original velociraptor r small but Hollywood they made them large. Can u classify them as Utahraptors instead?
Well, the thing is that although they are larger than real world velociraptors, they are made using the DNA of velociraptors, and simply enhanced by InGen scientists
I heard about a man, near where I live that had over 30 dogs, mutts to be exact. He died in his home and no one realized it, the dog's devoured his corpse bone and all since there were no more humans around to care for them. The police had to call in animal control and many of the dogs were euthanized because they developed a taste for human blood, they weren't monsters to begin with, they did what they had to to survive, but it altered their psychological state and they became aggressive towards man. They simply needed someone to care for them, when their owner died they did what they could and sadly no one could prevent it.
Not sure if you'll see this Clayton, but this is the second time you've liked one of my comments. I just wanted to say thank you for being active with your community unlike other youtubers.
SpikeZilla 54 That links into the misconception that bulldogs are inherently dangerous. It’s not the breed, it’s how they’re raised. Any breed of dog has potential for aggression, no matter how small and cute they look. If you raise them right they can be complete softies to you, even bulldogs. Dinosaurs of course have the factor of their survival instincts, which is why Owen has to clarify he can’t completely tame the raptors and still needs to show them respect despite his influence with them.
@Klayton Fioriti yes this is exactly why the raptors in Jurassic World are so different from I’m surprised not many people knew this I guess that’s what happens when you don’t pay attention to the films.
IMO it is way more formidable than it’s later successor ever was.
@JurassicHero 3 Wow, I actually forgot about the antisocial behavior thing, thank you for pointing that out for me, I really didn't double check her personality and behavioral patterns, then again it has been a long time since I last saw this movie, maybe I should watch it again at some point this week.
I rex and the Spino
This video brings up a good question: What if the Indominus was raised by Owen like he did the raptors?
Spike Contrairadox she’d eat him lmao, she ate her sibling
@@SaintMorselGrand Didn’t she eat her sibling BECAUSE they were raised in isolation?
Imagine if the indominus didn't die and took over the whole island especially with how big she would've been
...Basically a smaller non nuclear godzilla
It would have played with all of the corpses that it left behind.
"I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."
Probably would've eliminated all its food sources and starved eventually
egnaro2007 or it would have gotten too cocky and tried to take on a herd of Triceratops or Stegosaurs and would find itself outnumbered and surrounded.
And since she was a genetic grab bag, whos to say she couldnt have been semiaquatic if given a chance? I mean, they gave her cuttlefush genomes and didnt predict the natural camouflage. Whos to say she would have been isolated to the island?
Wow this info really takes the Indominus to a whole new level makes me wonder if it were the same with the Indoraptor.
Honestly that is the best thumbnail you EVER made!
Not that you don’t make good thumbnails. It’s just I really like that one :D
Very good, Klayton. And yes, speaking as an actual employee at a zoo (a wildlife park more specifically), how you treat and take care of animals will greatly influence how they treat you and others.
If any of you have any questions about reptiles or birds and what goes into taking care of them, I'd be happy to tell you what I know
Can a Raptor like a Cassowary have a relationship with you?
Could a Komodo dragon have a relationship aswell?
And people say _Jurassic World_ felt shallow compared to _Jurassic Park._ And yet, you just perfectly explained the philosophical conflict of the movie in this video!

Thank you for this. I love the Indominus, it's character, portrayal and how it's all executed. My favorite movie monster.
Klayton, I’m thinking of saving up for a Lost world Jurassic Park arcade cabinet!
Ryson Nelson be sure it’s not polybius.
😂 it’s not, also do you know the company Arcade1up? They sell old 80’s and 90’s arcade games that you can have in your own home! They did the Star Wars arcade games and marvel arcade games. They sell at $300 to $400, they need to do one for the Jurassic Park arcade games!
Might be easier to just emulate it...but an actual cabinet would definitely be awesome!
Klayton Fioriti yeah true, I just think it would be cool to have the actual cabinet. Thanks Klayton!
Ryson Nelson holy goddamn yes!

Ah yes, more great Klayton content while in quarantine. Thank you for all the great videos man!
DUDE!!! I've always wondered about that since the film came out, whether it was abused at a young age or that it said enough is enough and wanted to get even with the humans at the park to show them whose boss.
She was a monster who killed for fun.
The IREX is one of my favorite fake dinosaurs
What about the V-Rex from King Kong 2005?
Same mostly because how if circumstances were different the whole mess would never have happened.
Mine is spinoraptor
Mine is hyper rex and hyper indominus rex
Mine is ultimasaurus, but v rex and I rex still come close
One of your more thoughtful, contemplative videos, developing a personal theory and not only relating facts and details to us.

Hey Klayton, do you think you could maybe make a video on what if the Indominus rex never ate her sibling? Then there would be two of them!
Hmmm
Most likely they would be separated and would possibly be like the concept art of Fallen Kingdom which it was originally going to be 2 Indoraptors. 1 black and 1 white same with Indominus only opposite colours.
Imagine how out of hand that situation would be.

''robert muldoon quarantined the dinosaurs in a new location called the raptor pen''
they got quarantined too
Social isolation got to them
Man you should be the one fan in the new Jurassic World movie Klayton, you've earned it by continuing the universe alive outside of its projects, thank you for all your work!
When Owen said about the raptors born with each other so they learnt to socialise with each other
So did the indominus but she killed her sibling which shows she wants to be on her own and not with other of her species
The strongest dinosaur in the franchise.

Man, your voice makes this so much better and unsettling
Yes, Klayton Animals can become monsters if not taken care of properly. its why the raptors (JP1) and indominus are blood thirty monsters. The Spinosaurus was the same, being bred, tested and experimented on for 9 months. it's why it was so determined to hunt Grant and the group around the island, it remembers what the last humans did to it. now i think about it, the Spinosaurus was like the Dinosaur version of Koba from the latest planet of the apes movie.
No the Indominus was like Koba as she was the evilest dinosaur in the franchise.
@@joshuaagee-bass4049 that's true as well. They both hated humans
Cool stuff, man! Keep up the good work!
Not Plot armor, actual armor. I can only imagine how thick her hide must have been after all those genetic modifications.
The Indominus Rex is sort of a parallel to "The Big One" in a few ways:
It’s always an awesome day when Klayton upload a video!! I always love hearing all the Jurassic information he has to share!
Animals raised in isolation aren’t always the most functional
*Pet buyers in quarantine be like*

This actually makes alot more sense now that your put it together. O:
What if Owen Grady trained the Indomimus Rex? Would this beautiful beast still ravage throughout Isla Nublar?
Wow! I never really thought about the dinosaurs that deep in the movies. I always thought "old big bad dangerous lizard"
You are big brain! 👏👏
The Indominus is so awesome
I never clicked onto this, but you're right. The situation with the Raptors in JP and the Indominus is literally exactly the same. Both were moved to a small, cramped enclosure after attacking the feeders, both only had a positive connection with the crane that provided them food, and both became monsters because of this mistreatment. Amazing how they made literally the exact same mistakes.
@Klayton Fioriti this video perfectly explains why I think the Hybrids work well with the Jurassic Park franchise there unpredictable and physiologically mess with all humans greatest fear the fear of the unknown.
Great insight, Klayton! So simple, yet so brilliant
What is this? Why am I being reminded of all the fanfics i've left unfinished?

I LOVE this video! This is one of the primary reasons I like Jurassic World. Could you do a similar video on the JP3 Spinosaurs consistant aggressive behavior and the Indoraptor as well? The latter I think having been in an even worse state than the Indominus was. Beaten, not properly fed and locked in a cage in a dark room.
the poor Indominus Rex just want love and attention i sorry for it
Thanks for pointing these things out. I think the film does a very important job to stress necessity of informed and efforted care of captive animals.
I find it funny how swrve says spinosaurus vs t rex is like saying a tiger and lion when t rex and spinosaurus are very different to a lion and tiger
