Loving this SUP for sight fishing reds in the inaccessible back lakes of the Texas marsh. When traveling over a mile to get into the marsh; I’ll use a traditional kayak paddle and sit on top of the cooler. Paddling this way saves a significant amount time and energy. Once I’m in the marsh, the tradition paddle board paddle comes out. Most of the waters I fish are very shallow so I’ve also removed the fins but keep the hardware with me if the conditions change. No regrets with my purchase of the L2Fish
I just got one thru an event I was attending. I'm anxious to christen it in the water, however, I don't have a truck or SUV to get it anywhere and I was looking to get a cart (Not to attach to my Car, but to pull it out of my garage and drop it in the water) What would you suggest.? I don't think the standard paddle board cart will work due to the thickness? Please advise. Thanks Brandi
I'd check out the options for kayak or paddleboard carts to find one that has dimensions that'll hold the L2fish... seems like most will be too narrow since the traditional kayaks/sups have either a flat or v bottom, so I'd go with the one with the widest brace.
For some reason, all the reviewers don't show the SUP being paddled. This is disconcerting. I'd like to see someone paddle into a chop. Is it even possible with this SUP?
Here are links to a couple fishing trips I recorded while fishing from the L2Fish: www.saltstrong.com/fishing-tip/sup-fishing-push-pole/ www.saltstrong.com/articles/hidden-lake-fishing-trip-sup-fishing/
I have the L4 and regularly use it without the skegs - It tracks pretty well, not perfect, but its fast as hell and super super silent. I have had a lot of pedal drive kayaks, it smokes a lot of them, and keeps up well with my Revo 13 with turbo fins.
Ours is an inflatable. Inflation is 5' with supplied pump. Inflated it is almost as stiff as yours. Comes with back pack which everything fits in. Throw in back seat.

The side stand was done in shallow water because an $800 wireless mic would have been ruined if there was a mishap. But please know that it was deep enough to ensure that the board was not hitting the bottom, so the shallow water did not have an impact to the stability of the board.
Those Paddle boards are a novelty fad for the young and dumb ... I can't imagine standing all day in the wind , rain , waves and sun , all the time keeping your balance and worrying about falling off .... Just staying dry would be a Challenge .... You could buy a boat motor and trailer for a thousand or two ! ... Then you'd have some Range , Speed , Safety , Shelter , Storage and Room for your family , even your grandmother ! .... Those paddleboards are Dangerous , and you need a life jacket all the time and a life line ! ..... Fishing off one of those would be a nightmare ...

Thank you Luke, for this review; very helpful!
I don't know what I like better; The rope trick to hang the paddle from your waist or that end compilation. Great stuff! RUclipsr ;^)
Thanks Marty!

Excellent sir 🤘🏼
Pretty neat, man. Really expensive though. Can get a jon boat for a lot less.
But no motor to mess with or fail, and don't have to buy gas
What camera set up are you using? Looks better than the fish eye lens on gopros.
After a 3 year old video do you still love the board? Any more cons After 3 years?? Is it holding up well with oysters and general scratches
We do! Such a great board!
Have you fly fished off it? It looks like it would work well.

What are your recommendations for transporting the board on your roof?

How difficult is it to turn/steer when padding?

How long is the deck pad?
What’s it like to paddle?
I want to add an outboard motor 2-4 hp for deep sea diving
Hi.i think this is the best
how much it cost a paddle board like this ?
$2,299!!! I'd expect a happy ending for that price.
Yo that’s at Simmons park
Sure is!
I'm getting a live 2, for the youth
I like it, but when he stands on one side; he's in very shallow water, maybe 5 inches or less water. That's my only issue.

If you check out enough of the Salt Strong content you'll quickly see that these guys are probably the most genuine and least biased people out there.
